boAt Rockerz 650 Pro is here with 80 hours of playback and Dolby Audio!

Indian wearables tech brand boAt has announced a new pair of affordable headphones with sweet features like EQ customizability, and long lasting battery life. In this article, let’s take a look at the boAt Rockerz 650 Pro, its specs and features, alongside expected price in Nepal and availability.

boAt Rockerz 650 Pro Overview

Design and Build

The Rockerz 650 Pro sound like the successor to boAt’s existing Rockerz 650 but there’s quite a bit of differentiation. For starters, the 650 Pros are a set of over-ear headphones with large earcups while the non-Pro version are on-ear headphones. The Pro version is also a bit more pricey but we’ll get to that part later. In terms of design, the Rockerz 650 Pro features a plastic build with a padded headrest and soft ear cushions. They are available in a wide selection of colorways including Iris Black, Starry Night (Blue), and Sage Green.

Boat Rockerz 650 Pro Design

There’s a Capacitive Touch Area on the side for playback controls and to toggle between the various modes. Double pressing the right side will toggle BEAST mode with low latency while holding it will trigger the voice assistant. Just pressing it once will toggle between boAt’s Signature Sound and Dolby Audio.

Audio and Battery Life

The boAt Rockerz 650 Pro houses 40mm audio drivers that cover the 20Hz-20kHz frequency range. They are tuned with boAt’s Signature Sound out of the box so you are likely getting a bass-emphasized tone. Like mentioned earlier, these earbuds also support Dolby Audio for an immersive spatial experience.

They are Bluetooth headphones but the Rockerz 650 Pro also support music playback via an AUX cable for a richer and lag-free experience. Battery life is a noticeable step up from the vanilla Rockerz 650 with up to 80 hours of juice on a single charge. The headphones also support ASAP charging, providing an extra 10 hours of playtime with a quick 10 minute charge.

App and Connectivity

Lastly, there are a few other interesting features on the Rockerz 650 Pro. Dual Mic ENx cancels out surrounding noise for a clearer calling experience. Similarly, Multipoint Connectivity is another cool feature that allows you to pair your Rockerz to multiple devices and switch between them seamlessly. These headphones also have app support with personalized audio features as well as custom EQ. Toggling on BEAST mode lowers your latency to just 60ms, ideal for a free movie watching or gaming experience. But if gaming is one of your main priorities, then sticking an AUX would still be the most ideal.

Lenovo announces Yoga Solar PC that can charge via the sun!

It’s MWC and Lenovo has showcased its proof of concept Yoga Solar PC that can supposedly power itself via the sun. It’s an interesting concept for sure but how practical is it actually? Let’s take a quick look at the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC and what it has to offer!

Lenovo Yoga Solar PC Overview

How does it work?

Lenovo’s Yoga Solar PC features 84 solar cells on its lid that absorb light from the surroundings to power the machine. Lenovo says that these solar cells serve to add some extra battery life to the PC instead of powering it completely.

Lenovo Solar PC Panel closeup
Image: The Verge

Sitting in the cafe under direct sunlight for just 20 minutes can generate enough energy to power this Solar PC for up to an hour of video playback. Lenovo has utilized ‘Back Contact Cell’ technology moving the brackets and gridlines to the back of the solar cells to maximize absorption rate. As such, this setup can effectively convert around 24% of the total light to electricity which is in the higher end in terms of efficiency for photovoltaic cells.

The company has also developed a ‘dynamic solar tracking’ system that constantly measures the solar panel’s intake to deliver power to the laptop. This system prioritizes utilizing the solar absorbed energy instead of the laptop’s own battery, extending overall endurance for the user.

The solar panel is detachable too, so you could very well just use (and power) it like a normal computer.

Taking the lid off

So, with the solar panel aside, what have we got? A pretty nice ultrabook I would say. Lenovo’s Yoga Solar PC runs on Intel’s efficient Lunar Lake platform providing you swift and long lasting performance on the daily. It weighs just around 1.22 kg (with the panel) making it portable enough for day-to-day carry without a hassle. It’s not too thick either at just 15mm slim, so safe to say that the panel itself isn’t adding too much of a bulk.

It sounds all exciting, but it’s not every day that you and I use our laptops in the sun, so what is the use then? Well, Lenovo says that the Yoga Solar PC can still make use of the panel even in low light conditions to generate some extra power. Roughly an hour of extra use at the end of an eight hour work day does sound pretty nice!

Lenovo Solar Kit

Lastly, Lenovo also announced the Solar Power Kit as a standalone gadget that can power all your tech devices via the sun. It’s got a foldable design with solar panels and battery attached to it and can deliver power via a Type-C cable.

Lenovo Yoga Solar PC: Few cents

At the end of the day, we are still quite far off from never charging our devices entirely but this does seem like a handy feature to have. The panel itself doesn’t add much of a bulk to the system and it seems viable even if there’s not a ton of light all the time. I could see this being useful while you are out camping or on a work trip where every little bit matters. It’s not going to make you rich rich (full battery), but there are a few cents to enjoy here!

Infinix Note 50 (4G) launched with a 144Hz screen and Helio G100 Ultimate!

Infinix’s 50 series is officially here, but we are only getting the 4G variants right now. These sport a brand new design, 144Hz displays, and Helio G100 (Ultimate) chipset. We have already covered the Infinix Note 50 Pro (4G) here so in this piece, let’s take a quick look at the Infinix Note 50 (4G), its specs and features, alongside expected price in Nepal and availability.

Infinix Note 50 (4G) Overview

Design and Display

Honestly, I kinda like how bold Infinix is with their design philosophy. The Note 50 4G has a regular looking front with thin bezels and a hole punch, but where it truly calls for a look is at the back. The phone will be available in four regular colors: Ruby red, Mountain Shade, Shadow Black, and Titanium Grey, but the quadilateral camera island and the squircle camera rings truly give it a different look! For durability, the Note 50 series ships with IP64 dust and water resistance alongside a new ‘Armor Alloy’ frame with anti-fingerprint coating.

On the display end, it’s a large 6.78” FHD+ (1080×2436) flat AMOLED screen without any of the slight curves that we saw in its Pro sibling. The base Note 50 also misses out on the Gorilla Glass protection, but it has the same blazing 144Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and a 2160Hz Touch Sampling rate. The bottom chin is slightly thicker than the rest, but the phone looks very modern and minimal overall.

Performance and Memory

Being a 4G phone in 2025 means there are not really that many options when it comes to picking a processor. As such, both the Infinix Note 50 and the Note 50 Pro sport a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset with eight Cortex ARM cores! This 6nm SoC features two A76 performance cores running at up to 2.2 GHz complemented by six A55 cores running at 2 GHz.

MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate Chipset

As for the memory, the standard Note 50 (4G) ships in a sole 8 GB RAM plus 256GB storage configuration while you can also allocate some part of the latter to extend RAM (virtually) to 16GB. The phone boots on Android 15 based XOS 15 but we don’t know the exact number of promised updates yet!

Cameras and Battery

Despite the daunting looking housing, the camera hardware on the Note 50 series is your typical: primary + macro + AI lens layout. The 50MP main sensor features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for shake-free photos while the 2MP macro and AI lens aren’t stellar in terms of their capabilities. On the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera.

Battery life will probably be pretty good on the Note 50 thanks to its large 5,200 mAh cell. The charging speed is fast enough at 45W but the Pro version gets twice the power at 90W. This base variant also loses out on wireless charging capabilities, but the 10W reverse wireless charging is still there.

Infinix AI and Rest

Alongside the Note 50 series, the brand also unveiled Infinix AI∞ – an AI assistant to enhance user experience. Users can activate the AI with a tap on the power button and use it for generating AI content, editing pictures, or simply just asking questions. It can also search for images and summarize texts alongside other cool features like real-time call translation and auto-call answering.

There’s also the Active Halo AI Lighting that acts as alerts for notifications and calls. It can show real-time duration for camera timers and videos as well! Cool. Besides all that, you get JBL tuned speakers, NFC support, infrared sensor, and an optical in display fingerprint sensor as well. For connectivity, there’s dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, and the USB-Type-C port.

Infinix Note 50 (4G) Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inches AMOLED screen, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits
  • Chipset:
    • Mediatek Helio G100 Ultimate (6nm mobile platform)
    • 2x Cortex A76 + 6x Cortex A55
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR4X, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 15 based on Android 15
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary + 2MP macro + AI Lens)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (punch-hole)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical)

Infinix Note 50 Price in Nepal and Availability

The new Note launched in Indonesia with an ask of IDR 2,899,000. When it makes its way here, we expect the Infinix Note 50 (4G) Price in Nepal to be around NPR 28,999.

Infinix Note 50 Pro (4G) announced at MWC 2025 with Inifinix AI∞!

Infinix unveiled its Note 50 series at MWC 2025 and we’ve already talked quite a lot about the base Note 50 (4G) already. So, here, we’ll be taking a quick peek at the specs and features of the Infinix Note 50 Pro 4G alongside its expected price in Nepal and availability.

Infinix Note 50 Pro 4G Overview

Design and Display

Both the Note 50 and Note 50 Pro (4G) rock the same eye-turning design with weirdly boxy cameras in a sleek and modern chassis. The frame is now made up of an ‘Armor Alloy’ material said to combine the strength of Damascus Steel and Aerospace Grade Aluminium. Well, we don’t know that for sure but it sounds pretty reliable. There’s also an IP64 rating and the Pro edition is available in 4 cool color options: Dreamy Purple, Shadow Black, Titanium Grey, and a special Racing Edition.

Infinix Note 50 Pro 4G design

As for the screen, you get a super fast 144Hz AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. It’s a 6.78-inch across the diagonal with a typical FHD+ resolution we’ve been seeing in smartphones. There’s Corning Gorilla Glass protection, TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, and an embedded optical fingerprint sensor as well.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Infinix Note 50 Pro is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset as its non-Pro variant. This 6nm processor features a 2+6 configuration with Cortex A76 performance (@ 2.2 GHz) and Cortex A55 (@2.0 GHz) efficiency cores. On the GPU end, it’s the Mali G57 MP2 which should suffice for light gaming on the side!

The Infinix Note 50 Pro (4G) ships with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone boots on XOS-15 skin on top of Android 15.

Camera and Battery

On the rear, you are greeted by a 50MP primary alongside an 8MP ultrawide and a flicker sensor. There’s also Infinix’s new Halo AI lighting that provided real-time updates for timers, alerts, calls, and notifications. The front houses a 32MP front camera – a step up from the 13MP unit we saw on the base Note 50.

Infinix Note 50 Pro 4G Camera

For power, the Note 50 Pro relies on its massive 5,200 mAh cell juiced at up to 90W via the provided adapter. There’s also wireless charging support up to 30W alongside 10W reverse wired charging.

Infinix AI and Extras

There’s also something new called Infinix AI∞ which is an AI assistant likely replacing Infinix’s existing AI Folax. Infinix AI∞ can help you navigate your smartphone by finding you photos, making notes, summarizing text, generating AI images, and much more. It’s activated by pressing the power button on the right and has other impressive abilities like real time call translation, auto call answering, and noise reduction (during calls) as well.

The Pro edition gets a similar set of JBL tuned speakers (stereo), dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 2.0 Type-C port. There’s also NFC, infrared sensor, and X-axis vibration motor in the Infinix Note 50 Pro (4G).

Infinix Note 50 Pro (4G) Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inches AMOLED screen, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits
  • Chipset:
    • Mediatek Helio G100 Ultimate (6nm mobile platform)
    • 2x Cortex A76 + 6x Cortex A55

Nubia Focus 2 Ultra announced with rotatable lens ring and camera grip support

0

Nubia might not be the most popular name in the smartphone world but it has always been an innovative one. Providing aesthetic smartphones with good camera and performance, its flagships are comparatively cheaper too. However, in this article, I’m gonna talk about the Nubia Focus 2 Ultra, which is a midrange phone by the way, but with some interesting features for the price. Without further ado, let’s dive deep into the specs, features, and the expected price of Nubia Focus 2 Ultra in Nepal.

Nubia Focus 2 Ultra Overview

Camera with a Camera Grip

Well well, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is not only the guy with a camera grip accessory at the MWC 2025. The Nubia Focus Ultra 2 has also joined the race. This guy has a built-in capture button that also acts as a camera shutter plus a rotatable lens ring that can be used to zoom in and zoom out. Plus, it supports a dedicated camera grip with a physical dial that can adjust zoom levels or preset features as well.

And, the camera here is a 50MP primary unit which has a sensor size of 1/1.55-inch and an aperture of f/1.47. There are two additional lenses while Nubia mentions a five focal length—13mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 72mm. So, we can derive a 13mm Ultrawide sensor and a 50mm telephoto lens that can zoom up to 72mm. But that’s still a guess until Nubia officially takes the curtain off.

Performance

Under the hood, the device packs a Unisoc T760 SoC, which is a budget 5G chip built on a 6nm process with four ARM Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and Cortex-A55 CPU cores at 2.0GHz. The promotional poster showcases up to storage of 512GB and 8GB of RAM. You can also virtually expand the RAM to 20GB (8GB +12GB).

Design and Display

Talking about the design, the Focus 2 Ultra boasts an eye-catching look with a profound camera module and a slim body. ZTE ships this guy in two shades: Forest Green with vegan leather back and Sunrise White with reflective back panel. As for the display, it sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 2800nits of local peak brightness.

iPhone 16 Pro Overview

Design and Build

The design side of things for the iPhone 16 Pro is no different than the Pro Max model. Just a smaller body and a smaller display, rest apart, it’s the same. Just like its big bro, it features two additional buttons on the side rails— an action button and a new capture button. The Pro model also comes with titanium frames with Corning glass on the front and back. Meanwhile, the color options are Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium.

iPhone 16 Pro Design

As for the display, Apple has bumped the display side to 6.3 inches from 6.12 inches of the iPhone 15 Pro. When talking of the OLED panel, the 16 Pro features LTPO Super Retina XDR made by Samsung with superior brightness and longevity with a 120Hz refresh rate.

A18 Pro and some AI

The Pro moniker for the iPhones stands for a Pro SoC, since the inception of the iPhone 15 Pro Series, flaunting an A17 Pro SoC. Before that, all of the siblings shared the same chipsets. This year as well, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are getting the Pro one, the A18 Pro chip with on-device AI capabilities. Meanwhile, the storage variants start at 256GB and go all the way up to 2TB.

Apple A18 Pro Chipset

As Apple Intelligence, its own version of AI has also arrived, the Pro models are the first ones to benefit. The Apple Intelligence is useful in auto-generated Apple Music playlists, integration with productivity apps for AI-assisted content creation, and more.

5X telephoto Lens

iPhone 16 Pro Camera

As for the juice, the iPhone 16 Pro packs an updated stainless steel casing for higher battery density, by up to 10%, of course for better battery life. It boasts a 2.5% battery capacity improvement with a 3,355mAh cell as compared to the 3,274mAh one on the iPhone 15 Pro. The MagSafe alignment magnets in the iPhone 16 models are now slimmer than before, cutting down on the size of the magnetic ring required for MagSafe-compatible cases.
