Vivo TWS 5e arrives with up to 55dB ANC and 55-hours battery life!

Vivo has launched its new budget-friendly wireless earbuds in China, naming them the Vivo TWS 5e, alongside launching the Vivo S60 series. These new TWS are the successors to the old Vivo TWS 3e, with noticeably improved ANC and battery life. In this article, I will talk about these earbuds in detail, including the expected Vivo TWS 5e price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Vivo TWS 5e Overview

Design and Comfort

Starting with the design of the Vivo TWS 5e, it comes with a sleek in-ear, stem-style design with rounded outer shells. Here, each earbud weighs about 4.3 grams to help prevent ear fatigue during extended use. You also get silicone ear tips to make sure these earbuds fit securely and comfortably in the ear canal, so passive background noise is isolated while you listen. And you also don't need to adjust them time and again.

For the charging case, Vivo opts for an oval shape that houses the pair of earbuds and features a pocket-friendly form factor, making it your choice for easy travel. Moving on, you can choose among “White”, “Black”, and “Sky Blue” finishes for these buds. While the water resistance rating of the case itself isn't specified by Vivo, the buds come with an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes. With this rating, you can use these buds during intense workouts and in light rain without much worry about damage.

Audio, Call Quality and ANC

Under the hood, Vivo TWS 5e uses a 11mm dynamic driver that could deliver an immersive listening experience. With these earbuds, you get AAC, SBC, and LC3 audio codec support, along with vivo DeepX 3.0 stereo sound effects and spatial audio, so you can enhance the wireless listening experience. Apart from this, Vivo claims that you get rich and multi-dimensional sound whether you are watching movies, gaming, or listening to music with these budget-friendly TWS.

Moving on, a major focus of this TWS model should be its ANC. It supports up to 55dB of adaptive ANC, which is quite a big jump from the 30dB ANC we saw in the Vivo TWS 3e. This will let us use these buds in crowded places, offices, traffic signals, or during travel by effectively blocking the ambient sound. And if you are a gamer, these buds also have a 42ms low-latency mode to offer you a better gaming experience.

For voice calls, the Vivo TWS 5e comes with a dual-microphone AI call noise reduction system in each earbud. This setup will isolate your voice from background interference, so you can convey information clearly to the other side without interruption, even while walking on a busy street or working in a loud environment.

Battery, Connectivity and App compatibility

Another highlight of these buds is their battery life. According to Vivo, the TWS pair offers up to 13 hours of playtime, extending to 55 hours with the charging case under casual use.  However, you might get only 8 to 9 hours of battery life for the buds and 36 to 40 hours with the case when ANC is enabled, which isn't bad for travelers and hikers who want long-lasting battery life.

As for connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.4, which provides up to 10 meters of range for a stable wireless connection. The vivo TWS 5e also supports dual-device pairing, so you can effortlessly switch audio between your laptop and phone. To control and customize the gesture-controlled features and more, you can also use the vivo Earphone app, available on both Android and iOS from the Play Store and the Apple App Store, respectively.
