Canon has launched the EOS R8 in Nepal. This full-frame mirrorless camera features 4K60p recording, fast autofocus, and a lightweight design. The Canon EOS R8 uses a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with a DIGIC X processor. It offers an ISO range of 100–102400, expandable to 204800. It supports oversampled 6K 4K60p recording with 10-bit color, along with Canon Log 3 and HDR PQ. Full HD is available at up to 180fps. UVC/UAC support allows direct streaming in Full HD.

Display and Viewfinder

It features a 3.0″ vari-angle touchscreen LCD with 1.62 million dots and a 2.36 million-dot OLED EVF running at 120Hz. The camera includes Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with 1,053 autofocus points. Continuous shooting is supported at up to 40fps, including a pre-shooting feature.

Stabilization and Features

While lacking in-body optical stabilization, it includes 5-axis digital IS for video. Additional features include vertical video support, aspect markers, and Canon’s Multi-Function Shoe. Includes USB-C, micro-HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, headphone and mic jacks. Supports direct webcam use via UVC/UAC.

Inside the box

The box includes the Canon EOS R8 camera body along with an LP-E17 battery pack and an LC-E17 battery charger. Also included are an R-F-5 body cap to protect the camera when not in use, a camera strap for convenient carrying, and a shoe cover for added protection. Canon provides a 1-year limited warranty with the package.
