Motorola has rolled out the Moto G (2026) for the US market, and if you have been following this particular series in recent years, then you’d be disappointed for sure. Because this new “upgrade” is more of a refresh than a real upgrade. The phone keeps most of what made last year’s model decent while bumping up the battery size and selfie camera. Anyway, let’s jump into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Moto G (2026), including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Moto G (2026) Overview

Display and Design

Moto G (2026) Design and Display

The Moto G (2026) sticks with a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display that runs at 120Hz. It’s not the sharpest screen you’ll find—1604 × 720 pixels, but the brightness hits 1000 nits at peak. Similarly, the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The phone comes wrapped in vegan leather, which gives it a softer feel compared to plastic backs. It’s IP52 rated, so it’ll handle some light splashes and dust, but don’t take it swimming. You’re looking at 202g of weight and 8.44mm thickness—not slim, but not a brick either. Color options include Slipstream and Cattleya Orchid.

Performance and Software

Motorola’s using the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset from the 2025 model. It’s a 6nm, tried-and-tested processor that is decent enough for budget phones. You get 4GB of RAM, which feels tight in 2026, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The big news is it ships with Android 16 out of the box. That’s actually pretty decent for a budget phone at launch. Motorola’s My UX sits on top, which is fairly light on bloat compared to some competitors.

Camera Setup

The camera system hasn’t changed much. You’ve got a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and Quad Pixel technology, plus a 2MP macro camera, which much for the most part is only there for specs-padding purposes.  The front camera did get an upgrade; it’s now 32MP instead of 16MP.

Battery and Audio

The battery’s been bumped from 5,000mAh to 5,200mAh. It’s not a massive jump in any sense of the word, because if you look at Chinese smartphones flooding the market with 7000- and 8,000-mAh batteries, one would consider 5,000-ish batteries as prehistoric. But more importantly, the Moto G (2026) supports 30W fast charging, which is significantly better than the 18W you get on the G Play.

Audio-wise, you’ve got stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The jack’s becoming rare these days (and increasingly non-existent even on budget phones), so if you’ve still got wired headphones, that’s a plus.

Connectivity

The phone covers all the basics: 5G support (SA and NSA), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB-C. There’s dual SIM support with one physical slot and eSIM capability, plus a separate microSD slot so you don’t have to choose between extra storage and a second SIM.
