The Moto G57 Power is now official, alongside the regular Moto G57. And the only difference in the “Power” variant is that it has a 7000 mAh silicon-carbon battery versus the 5200 mAh unit on the Moto G57. So let’s jump straight into this new handset by Motorola, along with the expected price in Nepal of the Moto G57 Power.

Moto G57 Power Overview

Build, Design, and Display

When you see this smartphone, you will instantly recognize it as a Motorola device due to its curved edge design on the back. The vegan leather texture also appears premium, and it follows Motorola’s Pantone collaboration in terms of color options. Which includes: “Pantone Corsair”, “Pantone Pink Lemonade”, “Pantone Fluidity”, and “Pantone Regatta”.

Motorola even claims that the Moto G57 Power can withstand accidental drops of up to 1.2 meters while surviving temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C. However, the device is only rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance, a downgrade from the IP68/IP69 rating found in the Moto G56.

Moving on to the display for the device, there aren’t many upgrades either. It retains a 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. You also get Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protecting the display. Apart from that, the Moto G57 Power can also reach 1,050 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM).

Performance + a BIG battery

Alongside the regular Moto G57, this guy is the world’s first phone to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip. This is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, while its specs read similar to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 on the Moto G67 Power. The Moto G57 Power boots on Android 16 with Motorola’s My UX on top, while you get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage here.

On the other hand, the Moto G57 Power comes with a huge 7000 mAh silicon-carbon battery. So compared to the 5200 mAh battery on the standard Moto G57, I guess it really does justify the “Power” in its name. With this, Motorola claims up to 60 hours of battery life from its internal charging. It supports 30W wired charging, although it seems Motorola isn’t shipping a compatible power adapter inside the box itself this time.

Cameras and the rest

As for the cameras, the Moto G57 Power features a dual camera setup at the back with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 f/1.8 primary sensor and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera. Then there’s an 8MP f/2.2 selfie camera up front, and both the main and the front camera are capable of shooting 2K (1440p) videos at 30 fps.

In addition to that, the Moto G57 Power supports Gemini, “Circle to Search”, and a few other AI features. Whereas connectivity-wise, it has dual-band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.
