Android 14 is just around the corner. This next iteration of OS from Google has been in Beta testing for months now. Of course, the Pixel devices will get first-hand treatment with the updates. What’s new in Android 14?
Before getting to the list, why not have a look at the new things, Android 14 will be bringing?
- HDR Video: The new Android 14’s Camera 2 API will support high dynamic range (HDR) video capabilities.
- Multi-window fullscreen API: Now multiple apps can share the same screen at the same time via the multi-window mode. A better multitasking is ensured.
- Customizable lock screen: Your lock screen will get more customization options on Android 14 such as arranging the icons, changing the fonts of the clock, and much more.
- AI-generated wallpapers: On the final version of Android 14, you’ll able to generate wallpapers using AI.
- Battery health: The most lounged feature will finally come to Android. Google is implementing a battery health feature natively.
- Only share certain photos: Unlike older Android versions, the new one will come with a privacy feature that allows you to only grant access to certain photos and videos while sharing/uploading.
There are more features coming with the final stable version. The update is likely to be live in October 2023, starting from Pixel devices.
