      Dell Vostro 3520 (2023)

      undefined

The Dell Vostro 3520 is our best pick for the 40K segment. Yes, it does cost a bit more than 40,000, but given the market, there aren’t many good choices. The Intel Core i3-1215U processor powers this laptop, which is okay for everyday tasks like browsing the internet, watching movies, and working on lightweight applications like PowerPoint. You are also getting 8GB DDR4 RAM and a Gen 4 512GB SSD, which is enough for a student.

The display is one of the best in this price range, featuring an FHD resolution IPS panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. If you don’t want to spend a lot and just want a decent enough laptop, this is a great choice.

      Dell Vostro 15 3530 (2023)

      undefined

For the NPR 50,000 range, we have another Dell laptop, the Dell Vostro 15 3530. This Dell device is similar to the one we mentioned in the Under 40K section; it has the same 8GB DDR4 memory and the same Gen 4 512GB SSD. However, this variant is powered by the more powerful 13th-gen Intel Core i3-1315U processor. This upgraded processor provides great multitasking performance. The display is also a 120Hz FHD panel with decent color accuracy.

      Dell Vostro 15 3530 (2023) Specifications

      Lenovo V15 G4 (2023)

Similarly, if you can extend your budget by a few thousand dollars, then the Lenovo V15 G4 is a great choice. The Intel Core i3-1315U, a good chip for everyday tasks, also powers the laptop. It also gets 8GB DDR4 RAM, which is soldered, but we do get an empty slot for upgrading.

      undefined

The display is also decent and much brighter than the Dell laptops above, but it is a 60Hz panel. However, this should not be an issue, as 60Hz is sufficiently smooth for any task you will be doing.

The processor is well-suited to everyday tasks and excels at multitasking, which is ideal for students. We are also getting 16GB RAM and 512GB Gen 4 SSD, which is enough.

Students who prefer a more compact design and a lighter model can choose the V14 G4, while those who prefer a larger screen can opt for the V15 G4.

The processor is powerful for day-to-day tasks, and the battery life is great, which is something to note for a student. Next is the Acer Aspire 15 powered by the Ryzen 7 8840HS with 8 Zen 4 cores and 16 threads. Since this laptop has an AMD processor, you can expect good battery life compared to Intel counterparts. The integrated GPU is also more powerful than other iGPUs in the range. However, it does not have a more color-accurate display. The laptop is okay if you just want a go-to device for usage, mainly due to the processor and the good battery life.

      Acer Swift Go 14 (2024)

The Acer Swift Go 14 is one of the laptops I reviewed myself, and it deserves this spot. The laptop is thin and is a productivity device that easily handles browsing the internet, editing photos, and just writing. It also comes with a dedicated NPU, which can be useful if you are generating any AI content. The laptop is suitable if you just want to play games like Valorant.

More importantly, the display is one of the best; the 2.8K OLED panel produces color-accurate images, and you get a 90Hz refresh rate. However, the battery is not up to par, but other than that, it is an excellent all-in-one device, mainly for students.

Finally, students looking for an all-in-one gaming laptop that can handle their school or college work while delivering strong gaming performance have two options. The Acer Nitro V16 AI with the latest RTX 5050 graphics card or the Acer Nitro V15 with the RTX 4060. The RTX 4060 laptop's processor is not as powerful as others on the list, but the card is still powerful compared to newer RTX 5050 cards. Still, the Acer Nitro V15 is an excellent laptop for gaming and other power-hungry tasks. Its main downside is the less color-accurate display with just 45% NTSC coverage.

The Nitro V 16 AI is powered by the more powerful AMD Ryzen 7 260 paired with the RTX 5050. Similarly, we are also getting a more color-accurate display as well as a higher refresh rate. The battery life is also better compared to the V15, but at the end, both of these are gaming laptops, so don’t expect a crazy battery life.
