Lexar debuts first of its kind 2TB microSD, 1TB NM, and high speed SD 3.0 cards

Lexar has just made waves in the world of storage production as it just announced three products with incredible capabilities. The launch was held at the China Flash Memory Market Summit (CFMS2024) which showcased oceans of different storage-related products. Lexar International is a well-known brand that specializes in flash memory products. The company was initially based in San Jose, California, and was an American manufacturer. However, it is now owned by Longsys, a Chinese memory company. Lexar offers a diverse range of digital media products, such as SD cards, CompactFlash cards, USB flash drives, card readers, and solid-state drives.

2TB UHS-I Memory Card:

Among the Lexar storage options is a 2TB UHS-1 memory card, perfect for various devices like drones and action cameras, this card boasts impressive read speeds of up to 150MB/s and write speeds of 70MB/s. It utilizes 12-layer NAND stacking and ultra-thin processing to maintain its microSD size standards.

SD 3.0 Card and 1TB NM Card

Prioritizing speed, the Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS SDXC UHS-I card offers read speeds of up to 205MB/s and write speeds of up to 150MB/s. Following the move, Lexar also announced the world’s first ever 1TB NM card, which has been heralded as a one-of-its-kind NM Card. Moreover,  Lexar attributes its performance to a combination of factors, including a self-developed WM5000 main control chip, custom firmware algorithms like NAND stacking technology from Yuancheng Suzhou, and advanced packaging techniques.

Lexar’s latest addition, the SL500 Portable SSD, caters to content creators, including owners of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max seeking high-quality video recording capabilities. Sporting a compact design, this 2TB drive features USB 3.2 Gen2x2 connectivity, promising read speeds up to 2,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,800 MB/s. While its performance on Mac devices operates at half its theoretical maximum, the SL500 ensures swift data transfer and ample storage capacity.
