    Memory, Storage, and Connectivity

The chipset supports LPDDR5X and LPDDR5T memory types with a maximum frequency of 9600Mbps. It also supports UFS 4 and MCQ storage technologies. In terms of connectivity, the Dimensity 9300 Plus offers various cellular technologies, including 5G, 4G, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, EDGE, and GSM. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and Bluetooth 5.4.

    Camera Capabilities

The Dimensity 9300 Plus can support camera sensors up to 320MP and video capture resolutions of up to 8K30 and 4K60. It features the Arm Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU, enabling support for various video encoding and playback formats, including H.264, HEVC, VP-9, and AV1. Meanwhile, the 9300 Plus features MediaTek’s Imagiq 990 ISP for camera capabilities.

    Display and AI Processing

The chipset supports displays with refresh rates of up to 4K at 120Hz and WQHD at 180Hz. Additionally, it integrates MediaTek’s APU 790 for AI processing, including support for generative AI.  It is built on a 4nm process and integrates MediaTek’s NeuroPilot technology for AI processing, a second-generation hardware ray tracing engine for gaming.

Compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9300 Plus emphasizes improved on-device AI processing, as it  works with different types of LLMs, like Google’s Gemini Nano and Meta’s Llama 2 and 3, using its LoRA Fusion tech to support lots of AI apps. It’s the first chip in its class to run certain LLMs really fast, like Meta’s Llama 2 7B model, managing 22 tokens/second. Besides AI, it also saves power, cutting down energy use by 20% during gaming, and it has a “star speed engine” to make internet connections better, letting you use two networks at once.

    Security Features

Security is a priority with the Dimensity 9300 Plus, featuring a secure processor, Arm Memory Tagging Extension (MTE) Technology, and support for FIPS 140-3 and China DRM.
