Two variants of Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 launched in Nepal

While we mostly associate Lenovo with laptops, it has a wide catalogue of products including desktops. That being said, two new CPUs have entered the Nepali market. In this article, we will discuss both Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 in further detail including its price in Nepal.

Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 Overview

Both the variants of the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 are mostly similar to one another. What separates them is the processor they pack inside. One variant comes with an Intel i3 processor while the other one has an Intel i5 silicone.

Performance

Let’s start with what differentiates the two CPUs from one another i.e. their processor.

Intel Core i3-12100

The lower option of the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 packs the 12th Gen Intel Core i3-12300 processor. Unsurprisingly, it is a desktop chip that follows Intel 7 lithography and comes with four cores — all of which are dedicated to performance. As such, the maximum turbo power it runs at is 89W. Other than that, it has eight threads, a maximum frequency of 4.30GHz, and a smart cache size of 12MB.

On the graphics front, it is equipped with integrated Intel UHD 730 graphics. It operates at a frequency range of 0.3GHz to 1.40GHz.

Intel Core i5-12400

On the higher end, the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 comes with the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400 silicone. Similar to its lesser sibling, it is a desktop processor with Intel 7 lithography. However, the similarities end there, as it is better in almost every aspect. It packs six cores, 12 threads, and an 18MB smart cache. In addition to that, the i5-12400 comes with a maximum turbo frequency and turbo power of 4.40GHz and 117W respectively.

On the graphics side of things, it also packs the same Intel UHD 730 integrated graphics. However, you get to enjoy a higher graphics dynamic frequency of 1.45GHz.

Additional Hardware

While the processor choices are there, you get an 8GB UDIMM DDR4-3200 RAM coupled with a 512GB M.2 2280 Gen 4 NVMe SSD. For upgradability, the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 has two unused M.2 slots one of which is reserved for WLAN while the other is for SSD. Moreover, it has one 2.5”/3.5” disk bay and one slim ODD bay.

Additionally, the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 comes with a discrete TPM 2.0 security chip. In the meantime, it supports Gigabit Ethernet, up to WiFi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1 for connectivity.

Design and Ports

Aesthetic-wise, both the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50s Gen 3 cannot be told apart from one another. It comes in an all-black colour with the company and product branding on the front. In the meantime, the CPU also has a bunch of ports on the front. This includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, one headphone/microphone combo jack, and one microphone jack. You also get an option to configure it with a card reader.

Moving on to the back, the port options are even wider. Here you get two USB 2.0 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and an option for an additional two USB 2.0 Type-A ports via a two-port adapter. The Tecno Spark 20C’s seamlessly integrated “Dynamic Port” enhances the user experience by providing an intuitive interface for efficient notifications. After months of waiting, the Samsung Galaxy M55 finally goes official in Nepal. Although speculated to be another version of the Galaxy A55, this guy brings some differences, especially for the performance side. It is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 instead of the Exynos 1480 SoC. So, in this piece, let’s discuss the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, its specs, features, and official price in Nepal.

Design and Display

In terms of looks, the Galaxy M55 retains the classy Samsung rear design with a protruding camera lens and a hole-punch display upfront. The middle frame is not flat though, it’s curved instead. It brings the same IP67 dust and water rating as the Galaxy A55 5G.

The display is a sizable 6.7-inch AMOLED panel of Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It can get pretty bright at 1000 nits (peak) and features an under-screen optical fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the Honor 200 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, built on a 6nm process. It is an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz. The Honor 200 Lite comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage

Camera

In the camera department, the Honor 200 Lite features a triple-camera setup on the rear.
