We heard that Motorola was working on the Moto G Power 5G a few months ago. Now the company has formally outed the phone. In this article, we will discuss the new Moto G Power 5G (2024) in further detail including its expected price in Nepal.

Moto G Power 5G (2024) Overview

Design and Display

The latest iteration of the Moto G Power 5G comes with a design update from the last one. This phone has a design that is more in line with the company’s other recent offerings such as Moto G Play (2024), Moto G24, Moto G24 Power, and Moto G04! Even the flagship Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a similar blueprint. So, it appears Motorola is also taking the Samsung approach and giving all their offerings a uniform look.

Moving on, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) comes with a slightly larger screen than its predecessor. Given that, the screen here is an LCD that measures 6.7 inches diagonally. It comes in an FHD+ resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the phone ships in two colour options — Midnight Blue, and Pale Lilac. Both of these variants come with a vegan leather finish on the back.

Performance

Under the hood, you get the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, which is basically the same chip as the Dimensity 930 featured in the last-gen Moto G Power 5G. When comparing these silicons in NanoReview, we can see the 7020 fares slightly better in the AnTuTu benchmark. Other than that, you get the same configuration, the same fabrication, and the same peak frequency of 2.2GHz.

Memory-wise you get 8GB RAM with an option to expand to 16GB with the “RAM Boost” feature. Similarly, you get 128GB UFS 2.2 storage on the Moto G Power 5G (2024). In the meantime, the phone boots on Android 14 with Moto’s My UX skin on top.

Camera and the rest

The camera department is led by a 50MP primary shooter supporting optical image stabilisation. The auxiliary lens on the Moto G Power (2024) is an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 118° field of view. On the other end, you get a 16MP lens handling the selfies.

Vivo has launched its newest member of the iQOO Z series in India with the moniker iQOO Z9 5G – the successor to last year’s Z8 (china exclusive). In this article, let’s take a look at the iQOO device and its offerings, including the design, performance specifications, availability details, and iQOO Z9 5G price in Nepal.

Performance

One of the major highlights of the iQOO Z9 5G is its MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. The processor comes with eight cores with 4nm fabrication and a peak clock speed of 2.8 GHz. In the meantime, iQOO claims that this phone is the “Fastest Phone in the Segment” by flaunting an AnTuTu v10 score of 734,000.

As for the memory, the iQOO Z9 5G packs 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage (expandable via SD card). Moreover, the smartphone ships with Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.

Design and Display

The iQOO Z9 5G comes in a flat design language with a slight curve on the edges. The squircle camera island features two camera cutouts vertically lined up on top of each other. Meanwhile, you get an LED flash placed right beside the cameras. The iQOO phone ships in ‘Brushed Green’ and ‘Graphene Blue’ colour options with feather-ish patterns on the former.

Back in April ’23, Acer refreshed its Helios Neo 16 gaming laptop with a new look and more powerful components. Now, these laptops have received discounts that make them even more appealing. In this article, let’s take a look at the specs, and availability of all Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (2023) gaming laptops alongside their price in Nepal.

Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (2023) Overview:

If you are unfamiliar with the Helios Neo lineup, it’s basically a cut-down version of the more expensive Predator Helios lineup that makes compromises here and there like a 4-Zone RGB keyboard (instead of Per-Key), and inferior display to reach a more accessible price point. For a gaming laptop, it’s quite popular as raw CPU and GPU performance don’t take a dip relative to Helios laptops even though these are relatively cheaper.

Design and Display

With that out of the way, the Predator Helios Neo 16 (2023) is quite the looker with its accented back filled with cryptic codes, and illustrations. The logo at the center is quite more prominent than the top-placed one on the Helios 16. Besides that, it also has blue plastic components on the back that tie in the overall look of the machine. On the display front, there are multiple configurations available starting with basic WUXGA resolution (1920×1200) to WQXGA (2560×1600) at 165Hz refresh rate and 3ms GTG response times. Color coverage on the Neo 16 is at 100% sRGB which is good enough for gaming and day-to-day tasks but colors won’t pop as much as on the Helios 16 with 100% P3 colors. You get support for NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-Sync to ensure a seamless gaming experience

Performance and Cooling

Under the hood, the Helios Neo 16 can be configured with up to a Core i9-13900HX CPU and NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU. Other CPU configuration options include Core i5-13500HX and Core i7-13700HX as well and you can pair them with either RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 GPUs.

On the memory side, the Neo 16 (2023) supports up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800 MHz RAM and up to a 2TB NVME SDD in RAID 0 configuration. To keep things cool, the laptop features Acer’s all-metal AeroBlade fan tech alongside liquid metal grease on the CPU.

Battery and Connectivity

Fueling the Neo 16 is a large 90Wh 4-cell lithium-ion battery that charges via a 230W AC brick. There are no compromises when it comes to the ports as well. There’s one HDMI 2.1 and a couple of Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, alongside three USB 3 Type-A ports, an RJ45 jack, and a 3.5mm jack, alongside the power jack. For wireless connectivity, there is WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.1.

Redmi is a brand well-known for value-for-money devices. The company has now launched the Redmi A3, an entry-level budget smartphone with Helio G36 SoC, 6.71-inch 90Hz display, and Android 14 in Nepal. Without further ado, let’s get into the specs, features, and official price of the Redmi A3 in Nepal.

Design and Display

Starting off with the build, the Redmi A3 boasts a plastic frame, a glass back, and a glass front body. This smartphone has a bold-looking circular camera module on the rear side, housing a dual camera setup. Upfront, you get a 6.71-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. Despite being a budget phone, there is a Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the screen.

Performance

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset. This 12nm fabbed octa-core processor bears four Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.2GHz frequency and four Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 1.6GHz. Handling the graphics chores is PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Likewise, Redmi has paired this chip with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage.

On the software side, there is stock Android 14, not the usual MIUI, often seen on other Redmi phones. It makes sense given that it’s a budget phone and its predecessors the Redmi A1 and Redmi A2, also came with the same close-to-stock Android software.

As for the optics, the Redmi A3 boasts a dual-camera setup. It is headlined by an 8MP camera and a useless 0.08MP auxiliary lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP snapper on the U-shaped notch. In terms of videography, both cameras can do 1080p at 30fps videos.

Tecno, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has launched an upgraded variant of the Tecno Spark 20C. This new version is now official in Nepal and comes with a better selfie camera and better chipset to name a few key differences.
