Realme teases 15,000 mAh battery phone that could change everything

0

The idea of having a battery more than 6,000 mAh was barely doable just two years back. Some manufacturers achieved it, but they had to give up a lot of space and the phone ended up being heavy, making it not that feasible. 3-4 years back, it was mere fiction to think of a 5,000 mAh above battery. But here we are now, with Realme teasing about 10,000 and 15,000 mAh batteries. This article will discuss everything about the latest Realme 15,000 mAh concept phone, including its specifications and what this means for the future.

Realme 15,000 mAh Concept Phone Overview

From fiction to reality

Realme GT 7 Design

The idea of having a 10k+ battery is surely only seen in tablets, but as you might not know, some phones do feature it. Even more surprisingly, Oukitel’s entire brand is focused on making such phones, with batteries hitting up to 22,000 mAh. But it’s worth noticing – they are rugged phones designed for similar conditions, construction sites and rural places.

Realme has also been on the frontier of innovation, when they not even a year back demonstrated the ability to charge a phone in 4 minutes with a 300-watt charger.

Building on previous success

Back in May, Realme teased a GT Concept Phone with a 10,000 mAh battery. That phone had the industry’s highest 10% silicon ratio and an energy density of 887Wh/L. What was impressive was that it stayed slim for its battery size – just 8.5mm thick and barely over 200 grams. Now they’re back with something even crazier.

The 15,000 mAh beast

The new teaser shows a phone with a massive 15,000 mAh battery. Images reveal the “15000mAh” label printed right on the back cover, so they’re not being subtle about it. Realme claims this thing can do 50 hours of nonstop video streaming, which honestly sounds insane.

What’s wild is that despite the massive battery, it’s not unusually thick. We’re looking at the same 8.5mm thickness as the 10,000 mAh concept, with weight just slightly over 200 grams.

Technology behind the magic

It’s likely using the same silicon-anode chemistry as the 10,000 mAh model, just scaled up. This tech allows them to pack way more energy into the same space without making the phone a brick.

The question is how long would these batteries be able to consistently provide us such charge? And it begs the question – at what cost? And how would this change the way we unravel our life on socials when our phone battery never dies?

What does this mean for the future?

Realme will share more details on August 27th. But honestly, this is still a concept phone, meaning the tech is experimental and may not hit stores anytime soon.

Indeed, having a battery lasting this long would change everything. But we’re still waiting to see if this actually makes it to production, and more importantly, what the real-world trade-offs will be.

Honor Magic V Flip 2 is here with a 200MP camera and a new design

Honor has launched the Magic V Flip 2 in China. It’s the successor to the original Magic V Flip, and once again, Honor has collaborated with fashion designer Jimmy Choo for its design. So let’s jump into all the details regarding the features, specs of the Honor Magic V Flip 2, alongside its expected price in Nepal.

Honor Magic V Flip 2 Overview

New design and display

The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is available in four shades. Those being “Dawn Purple”, “Moon Shadow White”, “Titanium Sky Gray”, and “Dreamweaver Blue”. The Dreamweaver design is the special edition in collaboration with designer Jimmy Choo. Honor has decided to keep the large external display as seen in the Honor Magic V Flip, but now with a dual-camera setup.

This change replaces the mismatched lens design on the original Magic V Flip. The flash is also positioned in the lower half of the phone. It’s also IP58 + IP59 dust/water resistant, while Honor has also secured SGS Premium Certification for the phone’s drop protection.

Honor Magic V Flip 2 - Color options

Moving on, the Magic V Flip 2 has a 6.82-inch main display, while the cover screen is 4.0 inches. Both of them are LTPO OLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the main display has a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits and an HDR peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Compared to 2,800 nits and 3,600 nits for the cover display.

Moving to performance, the Magic V Flip 2 has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip inside, which can be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It runs on Honor’s MagicOS 9.0.1, based on Android 15 with some AI features, which I will get into in just a minute.

Powering the flip phone is a 5,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery that can be charged via an 80W charger. Honor’s latest flip phone even supports 50W wireless charging, and there’s also a smart charging mode to help extend the battery’s lifespan.

Camera and the rest of the details

The optics on this device feature a 200MP f/1.9 main camera with OIS as well as a 50MP lens with autofocus for ultra-wide shots. While for selfies, the Magic V Flip 2 brings a 50MP sensor on the main display. Although you can also take selfies with its rear cameras using the cover display as the viewfinder.

Honor Magic V Flip 2 AI translation

Finally, the Honor Magic V Flip 2 is loaded with a bunch of AI features too.

Like how you can move objects or erase them in a photo, or even generate videos from photos. Then there’s the dual-screen translation feature, and also “AI Call” that can automatically answer the call when you are busy and display call subtitles in real time with text replies support.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ launched in China with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 90W charging

0

Xiaomi just launched the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus in China alongside the Redmi Note 15 Pro, packing a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip and a telephoto camera. But the chipset choice has left some fans scratching their heads. This article will discuss everything about the latest Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Overview

Display and Design

Redmi Note 15 pro plus design and display

You’re getting a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2712×1280) and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a step up from the flat screen on the regular Pro model, giving you those premium curved edges.

One thing that caught my attention was the fiberglass back panel. Xiaomi claims it’s 10 times more durable than previous models, which sounds impressive on paper. The phone also gets full IP69K waterproofing, so it should handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

Performance and Confusion

At its core is either the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, which is a slightly upgraded version of  Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 has sparked some disappointment, as some expected a more significant upgrade over the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. It’s paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, which is strangely a step backward compared to the regular Pro’s LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 combo.

Camera Changes

You’re getting a 50MP main camera with OIS using the Light Hunter 800 sensor, a 50MP telephoto with 2.5x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide. The front camera bumps up to 32MP.

This has led to mixed reactions, with some preferring the higher megapixel count and others appreciating the telephoto addition. The regular Pro had a 108MP main camera (though it was likely just pixel-binned), so this feels like a downgrade in numbers, even if the actual sensor might be better.

Battery and Software

The massive 7,000 mAh battery returns, but now you get 90W fast charging instead of the 45W on the regular Pro.  It runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0 out of the box, which is nice to see. You also get a 1115mm² dual speaker setup and an X-axis linear motor for better haptic feedback.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Specifications

  • Display: 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED, 2712×1280, 120Hz
  • Processor: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (unannounced) or overclocked 7s Gen 3
  • RAM: 12GB LPDDR4X
  • Storage: 256GB UFS 2.2
  • Rear Camera: 50MP OIS main (Light Hunter 800) + 50MP telephoto 2.5x + 8MP ultrawide
  • Front Camera: 32MP
  • Battery: 7,000 mAh, 90W fast charging
  • OS: Android 15, HyperOS 2.0
  • Other: IP69K rating, optical fingerprint, fiberglass back, dual speakers

Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Price in Nepal and Availability

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus is priced at CNY 1,899 in China for the 12GB/256GB variant. When it makes it to Nepal, it would start at no less than NPR 36,500.

Redmi Note 15 Pro is official with 7,000 mAh Battery and Dimensity 7400 Ultra

0

Xiaomi just dropped the Redmi Note 15 Pro, and they’re clearly going all-in on battery life with a massive 7,000 mAh cell. The Note series, as always has been a major hit and a best seller since its very beginning.  But sometimes, I do wonder if these phones are being released too early, or is it year is passing by too soon? Or i suppose, do we even need iterative upgrades everywhere? Perhaps a significant upgrade, every 2-3 years, would be beneficial, both in terms of creating new products and for the environment. Anyway, this article will discuss everything about the latest Redmi Note 15 Pro, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Overview

Display and Design

Redmi Note 15 Pro Price in Nepal

You’re getting a 6.83-inch flat OLED display , a slightly bigger than last years 6.67 inch, that hits 3,200 nits peak brightness. That’s seriously bright – probably overkill for most situations, but nice to have when you’re outdoors. The 120Hz refresh rate is adaptive, so it’ll dial down to save battery when you don’t need the smoothness.

The build quality looks solid with Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass on front and IP69K rating. They’ve also tested this thing for 50 drops from 2 meters onto granite, which is pretty aggressive testing.

Performance and Software

At its core is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultra chip. It’s got 4 Cortex-A78 cores at 2.85 GHz plus 4 efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz. You can get it with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, paired with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Although, the chipset is indeed a minor upgrade/ iterative one from last year’s 7300 Ultra.

Camera and Battery

The camera setup is pretty standard for this price range. You’re getting a 50MP main camera with Sony’s LYT-600 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro that’s probably not worth much. The front camera bumps up to 20MP.

But the best part of this phone is its battery. Like most chinese phones coming up with massive battery, this one also got a 7,000 mAh battery. It’s massive for a phone this thin. Charging tops out at 45W, which isn’t the fastest around, but with a battery this big, you probably won’t need to charge often anyway.

Software and Features

It runs MIUI 14 based on Android 14. All the usual Xiaomi features are there – Game Turbo, dual apps, second space, and AI camera modes. The fingerprint scanner is side-mounted, and you get stereo speakers but no headphone jack.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Specifications

  • Display: 6.83-inch flat OLED, 2,772 x 1,280 pixels, 120Hz adaptive, 3,200 nits peak brightness
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra
  • RAM: 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5
  • Storage: 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1, no microSD
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main (Sony LYT-600) + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro
  • Front Camera: 20MP
  • Battery: 7,000 mAh, 45W fast charging
  • OS: MIUI 14 (Android 14)
  • Other: IP69K rating, side fingerprint, stereo speakers, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC

HMD Fuse launched with HarmBlock+ AI

0

HMD Global just dropped the Fuse, a smartphone, apparently aimed at “kids with system-wide protection against explicit content.” It packs HarmBlock+, an AI system that blocks nudity across the device. This article will discuss everything about the latest HMD Fuse, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

HMD Fuse Overview

Display and Design

HMD Fuse

Starting off, the HMD Fuse has a 6.56-inch HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. It’s a basic LCD panel, nothing fancy, but i guess, since its for children, it will do the job.

Performance and Software

At its core is a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. You can expand storage with a microSD card. The phone runs Android 15 and will get three years of security updates.

Camera and Battery

Meanwhile, the rear camera setup includes a 108MP main sensor with autofocus and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, you’re getting a 50MP camera for selfies and video calls. Battery life is handled by a 5,000 mAh unit with 33W fast charging.

Parental Controls and Safety

The big feature is HarmBlock+ AI. It works across all apps to prevent kids from seeing or capturing explicit content. Parents can manage apps, track locations, whitelist contacts, and check history. It’s part of the phone’s OS, so the protections are baked in.

HMD Fuse Specifications

  • Display: 6.56-inch HD+ LCD, 90Hz, 600 nits

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the world’s first foldable with an IP68 rating

Foldable phones have always felt like expensive experiments that break after a year or two. Google’s trying to change that narrative with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and they’re making some bold claims – like being the first foldable to get IP68 water and dust resistance. Plus, they’re saying this thing can handle over 10 years of folding, which sounds optimistic considering most people upgrade phones every 2-3 years anyway. This article will discuss everything about the latest Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Overview

Durability claims that sound too good to be true?

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Design and Display

Google’s biggest selling point is the new gearless hinge that’s supposedly twice as durable as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. They’ve also achieved IP68 water and dust resistance, which is genuinely impressive since most foldables barely manage to keep dust out, let alone water.

The inner display uses ultra-thin glass with two layers of anti-impact film for drop protection. Google claims this setup can handle “over 10 years of folding,” but considering how quickly phone technology advances, most people will upgrade long before testing that claim.

Display Setup

Google Pixel 10 Fold Pro Display

You’re getting an 8-inch inner OLED display, which Google claims is “the largest inner display on a foldable.” The outer display is 6.4 inches, both running at 120Hz with up to 3000 nits brightness on the inner screen and 2000 nits on the outer.

From where we’re seeing the foldable market, display size has become the main differentiator. The smaller bezels on the outer display make it more usable when folded, which addresses one of the biggest complaints about previous foldables having tiny, awkward outer screens. But one thing that has disappointed is, that they continue to put rounded corners in the interface, which don’t match the phone’s actual physical corners.

Camera System

The triple camera setup includes a 48MP main camera, 10MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. Super Res Zoom goes up to 20x, which is less than the regular Pro models’ 100x but probably more realistic for actual use.

One thing that caught our attention was the “Instant View” feature that lets you preview photos on the inner screen when unfolded. This could be useful for group photos or making sure you got the shot right before the moment passes.

But makes no sense to get too excited – the camera specs are clearly a step down from the regular Pro models. The ultrawide and telephoto are both 10MP instead of 48MP, so you’re paying more for the foldable form factor and getting less camera performance.

AI Features

You’re getting the same Tensor G5 chip with Gemini AI integration, Magic Cue, Camera Coach, and all the other AI features from the regular Pixel 10 lineup. The larger inner screen should make some of these features more useful, especially for photo editing and multitasking.

Split Screen functionality lets you use two apps at once with adjustable app sizes. Drag and Drop works across different apps for moving files and media. The outer display can now function as a game controller for titles like Asphalt Legends, which is genuinely clever.

More often than not, foldable-specific features feel gimmicky, but the gaming controller functionality and improved multitasking could actually be useful for productivity.

Battery and Charging

The 5,015mAh battery promises 30+ hours of use, which is impressive considering you’re powering two displays. Fast wired charging gets you to 50% in 30 minutes, and it’s the first foldable with Qi2 magnetic wireless charging built-in.

The Pixelsnap magnetic charging system works even when the phone is unfolded, and there’s a Ring Stand accessory for hands-free streaming. The problem, I think, is that most people will still be cautious about wireless charging on a sub-2000 bucks device.

Build Quality and Design

The aerospace-grade aluminum construction comes in Moonstone and Jade colors. The design looks sleek, but at this price point, you’d expect premium materials. The real test will be long-term durability under normal use conditions.

Yeah, I think Google’s durability claims are impressive on paper, but foldables still feel like early-adopter technology. The IP68 rating is genuinely significant progress for the category, though.

Software Optimization

Google’s working with developers to optimize apps for the foldable form factor. Netflix and Disney+ are optimized for immersive streaming, which makes sense given the large inner display.

The split-screen functionality with adjustable app sizes addresses one of the main selling points of foldables – being able to use them like small tablets. But the software experience still depends heavily on app developers supporting the format properly.

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL also launched with 6.8-inch display and 5200mAh battery

Pixel 10 Pro XL is, as usual Google saying the plus variant of the regular Pixel 10 Pro. Same cameras, same processor, same features – just a larger screen and bigger battery. Funnily, I’ve always found the XL nomenclature quite bizarre for a phone, and they started this naming scheme last year. What’s next, XXL? This article will discuss everything about the latest Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Overview

Display

Google Pixel 10 pro XL Display

The main difference between the Pro and Pro XL is screen real estate. You’re getting a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED instead of the Pro’s 6.3-inch display. The resolution bumps up to 1344 × 2992 pixels at around 486 ppi, which is actually slightly lower pixel density than the smaller Pro model at 495 ppi.

Everything else about the display remains the same – 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, 2200 nits HBM, 3300 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The screen-to-body ratio improves slightly to 88.0% compared to the Pro’s 87.6%. The Pro XL measures 162.8 × 76.6 × 8.5mm and weighs 232g, making it significantly larger and heavier than the 207g Pro model. That’s a 25g difference, which you’ll definitely notice in your pocket

Battery

One thing that justifies the Pro XL’s existence is the 5200mAh battery, which is substantially larger than both the Pro’s 4870mAh and the regular Pixel 10’s 4970mAh. You’re also getting 45W wired charging that can hit 70% in 30 minutes, compared to slower charging on the smaller models.

The wireless charging also gets upgraded to 25W Qi2 magnetic charging instead of the 15W on the regular Pixel 10. From where we’re seeing Google’s strategy, they’re using the XL as the showcase for their fastest charging technologies.

Identical Everything Else

The camera system is exactly the same as the Pro – 50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide with f/1.7 aperture, and 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. You’re getting the same 100x Pro Res Zoom, 8K video recording, and 42MP front camera.

Performance is identical too – Tensor G5 chip, 16GB RAM, and storage options from 256GB to 1TB. The Pro XL actually starts at 256GB instead of 128GB, which makes sense given the target audience probably wants more storage for all that 8K video.

About the XL

The XL naming convention started last year, and honestly, it feels like Google ran out of creative ideas. Samsung uses “Plus” or “Ultra,” Apple has “Pro Max,” but Google went with clothing sizes. As i mentioned earlier, what’s next when they want to go even bigger – XXL? XXXL?

But makes no sense to overthink naming when the product itself is straightforward. It’s the Pro with a bigger screen and battery, which is exactly what some people want.

Same AI Features, Bigger Canvas

You’re getting all the same AI features as the Pro – Camera Coach, Ask Photos, Gemini Live, Magic Cue, and enhanced Live Translate. The larger screen should make some of these features more useful, especially for video editing and photo management.

Circle to Search and all the computational photography features work identically. The bigger display just gives you more room to work with when editing 8K videos or managing large photo libraries.

Build Quality and Colors

Same “spacecraft-grade aluminum” and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 construction as the Pro, with the same Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain, and Obsidian color options. IP68 rating for dust and water resistance remains standard.

The build quality should be identical to the Pro, just scaled up for the larger form factor. Google claims it’s “2x stronger than Pixel 8,” though that’s hard to verify without drop tests. Larger phones feel less premium due to their unwieldy size, but the Pro XL maintains the same materials and finish quality as its smaller sibling.

Google Pixel 10 Pro goes official with up to 100x “Pro Res Zoom”

The regular Pixel 10 finally got a telephoto lens, which was overdue. But Google’s not stopping there. The Pixel 10 Pro takes everything from the base model and cranks it up to eleven – we’re talking 8K video recording, 100x digital zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide that puts most competitors to shame. Plus they launched the Pro XL alongside it, but that’s basically the same phone with a bigger screen. This article will discuss everything about the latest Google Pixel 10 Pro, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Overview

Display  Google Pixel 10 Pro design

The Pixel 10 Pro gets a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED with 1-120Hz variable refresh rate. The resolution bumps up to 1280 × 2856 pixels at around 495 ppi, which is sharper than the regular Pixel 10. You’re getting 2200 nits HBM and 3300 nits peak brightness.  Similarly, the screen-to-body ratio hits 87.6%, and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Performance

One thing that separates the Pro from the regular model is 16GB of RAM instead of 12GB. You’re still getting the same Tensor G5 chip, but with more memory for AI processing and multitasking. Storage options go up to 1TB, which is important if you’re planning to shoot 8K videos.

The battery is actually smaller at 4,870mAh compared to the regular Pixel 10’s 4,970mAh. But the Pro XL gets 45W fast charging and can hit 70% in 30 minutes, plus 25W Qi2 wireless charging instead of 15W.

Camera System

The camera upgrades here are massive. You’re getting a 50MP wide camera ( the regular model got a 48MP sensor), but the ultrawide jumps to 48MP with an f/1.7 aperture. That’s basically flagship-level specs for the ultrawide, which most phones treat as an afterthought.

Google Pixel 10 Pro

The telephoto is also 48MP with f/2.8 aperture and 5x optical zoom. Where the regular Pixel 10 maxes out at 20x Super Res Zoom, the Pro goes all the way to 100x digital zoom.

8K Video

From where we’re seeing Google’s strategy, they’re clearly targeting content creators with the Pro model. You’re getting 8K video recording at 30fps through their “Video Boost” feature, which uses cloud processing for brightness, stabilization, and color enhancement.

The problem, I think, is that 8K video eats storage for breakfast and most people don’t have displays that can even show 8K properly. But for YouTube creators or people who want to future-proof their content, it might actually matter.

Super Res Zoom Video goes up to 20x with smooth stabilization, and Night Sight Video now works with 8K recording. The front camera is a massive 42MP ultrawide with 103-degree field of view and autofocus, which is genuinely impressive for selfies and video calls.

Design

The Pro gets a “silky matte” back finish instead of the polished glass on the regular model. You’re getting Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain, and Obsidian color options. The dimensions are nearly identical at 152.8 × 72 × 8.5mm and 207g, just slightly heavier than the regular model.

Both phones claim to be “2x stronger than Pixel 8” with “spacecraft-grade aluminum,” which sounds like marketing nonsense but hopefully means better durability. IP68 rating is standard across the lineup.

AI Features

To break a spell, i think, for more or less, AI camera features are or has been pretty much gimmicks, or at least that’s how most people think. But some of these actually seem practical. Camera Coach suggests better angles and lighting in real-time. Ask Photos lets you edit by describing what you want changed. Auto Best Take combines multiple shots to get everyone looking their best. While Gemini Live integration lets you have conversations about what the camera sees, which could be useful for identifying objects or getting photography advice. And Magic Cue proactively suggests helpful information based on context. Finally, the Live Translate feature now preserves the caller’s natural voice during real-time translation, which is genuinely impressive if it works as advertised.

Connectivity and Additional Features

You’re getting Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth 6.0, Ultra Wideband, and Satellite SOS for emergencies. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor should be more reliable than optical ones. There’s a skin thermometer sensor, which seems random but might be useful for health tracking.

Seven years of OS and security updates means you’ll get support through 2032, which makes the higher price more justifiable for long-term use.
