Infinix GT 30 5G+ launched with gaming shoulder triggers

Infinix just dropped their latest gaming phone, and they’re targeting mobile gamers hard with dedicated shoulder triggers and a 144Hz AMOLED display. Now, let’s read this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Infinix GT 30 5G+, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Infinix GT 30 5G+ Overview:

Display and gaming features

You’re getting a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. The peak brightness hits 1,600 nits (HBM), which is pretty wild for this price range. And it is also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Infinix GT 30 5G+

But here’s the thing that caught my attention. The Infinix GT 30 5G+ actually includes dedicated shoulder triggers, which is something you’d usually find on phones costing twice as much. As you can see from the image above, it also has customizable lights at the back.

And if you are wondering about what “Shoulder triggers” I mean here, then, to simply put, it’s a capacitive button positioned on the sides of the phone that works like shoulder buttons found on game console controllers.

The display also packs 2304Hz PWM dimming, and if you’re into BGMI, it supports 90fps gameplay, which is solid.

Performance and software

At its core is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM. While storage options range between 128GB and 256GB (UFS 2.2). As I already mentioned before, the performance of the GT 30 5G+ should be smooth for most games.

You’re getting Android 15 with XOS 15 on top, so at least the software is current. And to keep things nice and cool, Infinix has also included a 3D vapor chamber cooling system on this phone.

Camera and battery

The camera setup on the Infinix GT 30 5G+ is pretty basic. With a 64MP main (Sony IMX682), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 13MP front shooter. They’re clearly not trying to compete with camera phones here, and that makes sense given the gaming focus.

Infinix GT 30 5G Plus design

Battery life should be decent with the 5,500mAh capacity, plus 45W fast charging is pretty decent as well. To make sure the phone doesn’t heat up that much when you’re playing some games while keeping it plugged in, it also supports bypass charging.

Build and connectivity

For security, the Infinix GT 30 5G+ has an in-display fingerprint scanner. Whereas the company has also onboarded stereo speakers and an IP64 rating for basic water resistance for this phone. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, and they even threw in an IR blaster.

Infinix GT 30 5G+ Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, 144Hz, 1.5K resolution, 1,600 nits (HBM), 4,500 nits (HDR) peak brightness
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 (4nm)
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage
  • Rear Cameras: 64MP main + 8MP ultrawide
  • Front Camera: 13MP (hole-punch cutout)
  • Battery: 5,500mAh with 45W fast charging
  • OS: Android 15 with XOS 15
  • Special features: Gaming shoulder triggers, in-display fingerprint
  • Protection: IP64 rating
  • Connectivity: 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, IR blaster

Infinix GT 30 5G+ Price in Nepal and Availability

In India, this phone goes on sale from August 14, 2025, where it costs INR 19,499 for the 8/128GB and INR 20,999 for the 8/256GB variant. We expect the price of the Infinix GT 30 5G+ in Nepal to start at around NPR 35,499 when it launches here.

Redmi 15 5G launched with a massive 7,000mAh battery and a 144Hz display

0

Xiaomi just dropped the Redmi 15 5G in Malaysia, and they’re going all-in on battery life with a whopping 7,000mAh cell – the largest they’ve ever put in a global smartphone. This article will discuss everything about the latest Redmi 15 5G, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Redmi 15 5G Overview

Display and Design

You’re getting a huge 6.9-inch Full HD+ screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling. But here’s something interesting – they added Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which means the screen actually works properly when your fingers are wet.

More often than not, budget phones struggle with this, so it’s a nice touch. The phone comes in three colors: Ripple Green, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black.

Performance and Software

At its core is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor paired with 8GB RAM. Which is, of course, a flagship or anything super powerful type chip, but I think you’ll be able to game well, and it’s also decent for everyday multitasking.

Meanwhile, you’re also getting Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, plus virtual RAM expansion up to 16GB if you need the extra headroom. Storage is generous at 256GB internal, and they threw in microSD support up to 2TB.

Battery life champion

Okay, so here’s the main event – that 7,000mAh battery. This thing should easily last two days of normal use, maybe even more if you’re not a heavy user. Yeah, 33W charging isn’t the fastest around, but with this much capacity, you probably won’t need to charge daily anyway.

They also included 18W reverse charging, so you can juice up other devices in a pinch. All things considered, this is clearly a good sign that most smartphones are moving in a good direction, focusing on batteries. I really hope Samsung does the same as well.

Camera and Features

Redmi 15 5G

The camera setup is – 50MP main sensor with an unspecified auxiliary lens, plus an 8MP front camera. They’re not trying to compete with camera phones here, and that makes sense given the focus on battery life and affordability.

Security is handled by a side-facing fingerprint sensor, and you get IP64 water resistance for basic protection. Audio gets Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support.  They packed in some AI tricks too – Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots. These are becoming standard on most Xiaomi phones now, so it’s good to see them trickle down to budget devices.

Redmi 15 5G Specifications

  • Display: 6.9-inch Full HD+, 144Hz, 288Hz touch sampling, Wet Touch Technology 2.0
  • Processor: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
  • RAM: 8GB (expandable up to 16GB virtual)
  • Storage: 256GB + microSD up to 2TB
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main + auxiliary lens
  • Front Camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 7,000mAh with 33W charging, 18W reverse charging
  • OS: HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15
  • Security: Side-facing fingerprint sensor
  • Protection: IP64 water resistance

The phone launched in Malaysia at MYR 729 (around USD 170), and when it makes it to Nepal, it would start at no less than NPR 24,999. Xiaomi has scheduled the India launch for August 18, 2025, so Nepal shouldn’t be too far behind either.

OpenAI’s “PhD-level” GPT-5 model is finally here

When talking about AI, all of our minds go straight to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. With the AI race reaching new heights, we can always expect them to bring something new. And after months of waiting, the new GPT-5 model from OpenAI is finally here. The best part is that it is also available for free users.

What is new in the OpenAI GPT-5 model?

According to the company, this is the “smartest, fastest, most useful model yet”. And that it has “PhD-level intelligence”. It supposedly has improved performance across various areas like coding, health, creative writing, and visual perception.

And impressively enough, GPT-5 has already climbed to the number 1 spot in LMArena’s leaderboard less than 24 hours after its launch.

OpenAI GPT-5

The best part is that GPT-5 is a reasoning model that offers a unified experience. This means you no longer need to switch between different models to get the right kind of response. It’s built around a “real-time router” that can quickly decide which model to use based on what you’re asking it.

Coding

The one area where this model excels the most is coding. OpenAI reports it outperforms the o3 model in over 70% of internal “frontend coding” evaluations. It also shows stronger results across broader coding benchmarks and is now used in agentic tools like Cursor, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot to improve developer workflows.

OpenAI GPT-5 Code test bar graph
Image: OpenAI

On “Aider Polyglot”, an evaluation of code editing with GPT‑5 recorded a new high of 88%, a one-third reduction in error rate compared to o3. Along with that, it also recorded the highest in the SWE-bench with 74.9% accuracy.

More honest, safer, and helpful responses

Other than this, OpenAI says they have worked hard to make GPT‑5 significantly less susceptible to hallucinations. It shows a sixfold drop in hallucinations compared to GPT‑4o, based on benchmarks like LongFact and FActScore.

They found that OpenAI o3 still gave confident answers about nonexistent images 86.7% of the time, versus just 9% for GPT‑5. It recognizes when tasks can’t be completed rather than manipulating the user.

Image: OpenAI

In GPT‑5, OpenAI has also introduced a new form of safety training called “safe completions,” which helps the model to give the most helpful answer. And if the model needs to refuse a response, it will provide an answer to why it is refusing, as well as provide other safer alternatives.

Whereas it also supposedly reduces its rate of sycophantic replies — aka insincere flattery — from 14.5% to less than 6%.

How to access GPT-5 model?

The GPT-5 model started rolling out yesterday to all OpenAI subscribers, including free users. Although you will default to “GPT-5 mini” — a smaller model — once you hit your usage limits.

And you might wanna upgrade to OpenAI’s “Plus” subscription for USD 20/month for extended access. Or to the USD 200/month “Pro” tier for unlimited access. Moreover, “Pro” users will also get access to “GPT-5 Pro” that thinks for longer for the most comprehensive results.

For developers, GPT-5 will be available in three API sizes: gpt-5, gpt-5-mini, and gpt-5-nano. With prices ranging from as low as USD 0.05 per 1 million input tokens for the “gpt-5-nano” to USD 1.25 per 1 million input tokens for “gpt-5”.

Honor 400 Smart 5G launched in Europe with a 6,500mAh battery

Honor has added yet another entry in its 400 series of smartphones: the Honor 400 Smart 5G. It’s the most affordable phone in the lineup, which already consisted of Honor 400 (review), Honor 400 Pro (review), and Honor 400 Lite (review). So let’s learn more about the Honor 400 Smart 5G, including its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.

Honor 400 Smart 5G Overview

Design and Display

Honor 400 Smart 5G is available in two colors: Black and Grey. It has a squarish camera module that we have seen on Honor’s budget phones, like Honor X8c (review). Other than this, the phone weighs around 189 grams, is IP64 dust/splash resistant, and is also SGS-certified for drop and crush resistance.

Honor 400 Smart 5G - Display

Up front, the Honor 400 Smart 5G brings a 6.77-inch TFT LCD panel with an HD resolution. This is actually a downgrade compared to the FHD+ display on the Honor 200 Smart, by the way. Along with that, the peak brightness has also gone down from 850 nits to 700 nits. Although you’re still getting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate here.

Performance, cameras, and battery

In terms of performance, this Honor phone is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 (6nm) chip. This has been paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, while we expect Honor to add some more memory configurations for the phone shortly.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 launched

And software-wise, it runs on Android 15 with Honor’s Magic OS 9.0 on top. The company also promises 5 years of OS + security updates for this guy.

The Honor 400 Smart 5G gets a big upgrade in the battery department, though. That’s because compared to a 5,200 mAh battery on its predecessor, it now has a massive 6,500 mAh unit. Then again, the charging speed has remained the same at 35W.

Honor has kept things almost boringly simple for the cameras on this phone. So you have a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back, followed by a 5MP selfie shooter that sits inside the hole-punch cutout.

Honor 400 Smart 5G Specifications:

  • Body: 166.9 x 76.8 x 8.4 mm, 189 gm
  • Durability: IP64 dust/splash resistant

  • Battery: 6500mAh with 35W charging support
  • Connectivity: 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.55mm audio jack

Honor 400 Smart 5G Price in Nepal and Availability

Xiaomi is apparently testing a Redmi phone with a massive 9,000mAh battery

0

Digital Chat Station just dropped some wild info about Xiaomi testing a Redmi phone with an absolutely bonkers 8,500-9,000mAh battery. And the crazy par is that they’re apparently keeping it at just 8.5mm thick. This article will discuss everything about the latest Redmi battery rumors, including specifications and what this could mean for the smartphone market.

Redmi Battery Beast Rumors

The Numbers Game

Redmi phones

The idea of getting a 5000 mAh battery was a mere fiction back in the day. But it is absolute bonkers that we are now in a timeline, where we are talking about a battery that’s pushing 9,000mAh territory here. To put that in perspective, most flagship phones barely crack 5,000mAh. Xiaomi’s current battery champ is the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with 7,550mAh, just imagine the jump, and the amount of hours this phone will hold.

What’s really interesting is they’re claiming 8.5mm thickness — basically the same as regular Redmi phones. Makes you wonder what kind of battery tech wizardry they’re pulling off behind the scenes.

Self-Developed Battery Tech

Xiaomi’s apparently cooking up their own battery solution for this beast. The key selling point or this would be, as they say, it won’t mess with charging cycle lifespan, which is usually the trade-off with these massive batteries. Most high-capacity batteries tend to degrade faster, but if Xiaomi’s cracked that code, this could be a game-changer.

The Competition Heats Up

But Xiaomi is not only one in this battle, as Honor is supposedly working on a 10,000mAh phone, and iQOO’s already shipping 8,000mAh devices. It’s like everyone suddenly realized people are tired of charging their phones twice a day.

Mystery Model

We don’t know which Redmi phone will get this battery treatment first. Could be a new Turbo variant, or maybe they’re planning something completely different. Given Redmi’s track record, it’ll probably hit the mid-range market first before trickling down.

But in think its also worth noting that, getting 9,000mAh into an 8.5mm phone sounds almost too good to be true. Battery density improvements have been incremental for years, so either Xiaomi’s made a breakthrough or they’re optimizing space usage in ways nobody else has figured out. The charging cycle claim is equally ambitious. Usually, higher capacity means more stress on the battery chemistry, leading to faster degradation. If they’ve solved that, it’s huge.

Redmi Battery Availability

No official word on pricing or launch dates yet. This is still in testing phase according to the rumors.

Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch 4 will bring a ton of useful upgrades

Following the big success of the Pixel Watch 3, Google is all set to announce the Pixel Watch 4 later this month. It seems that Google is preparing a whole lot of upgrades for its upcoming smartwatch, including built-in Gemini, dual-frequency GPS, and so much more. And thanks to some credible leaks, we already have our first look at the Pixel Watch 4 as well.

What we know about the Google Pixel Watch 4 so far

No changes in design

Unlike how Samsung went with a new look for its new Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic this year, Google clearly won’t be walking the same route with its fourth-gen watch. It will be available in 41mm and 45mm sizes, like the Pixel Watch 3.

And a handful of color options, that Google will apparently call “Moonstone”, “Iris”, “Obsidian”, “Porcelain”, “Lemonello”, and “Indigo”.

But when it comes to the display, the Watch 4 will now brag 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Up from 2,000 nits on its predecessor.

Pixel Watch 4
Image: Bedros Pamboukian

Other than this, we’re also expecting a satellite communication feature on the Watch 4. Whereas some rumors suggest that Google will be adding something called “Breathing Emergencies” to its latest smartwatch as well. This feature will basically send an alert when the watch detects that your blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) is low.

And as mentioned before, the Pixel Watch 4 will finally upgrade to dual-frequency GPS, too. Which is something we have come to expect from basically every flagship smartwatch these days.

Wear OS 6 and built-in Gemini

Other than this, it will also be the second batch of smartwatches to run on the new Wear OS 6 platform. So expect Gemini to come built-in here.

Interestingly enough, the Pixel Watch 4’s charging port will also move from the back to the side. This redesign does mean that your older Pixel Watch charger won’t work here, although this will help a lot with repairability. Plus, the charging speed itself sees a 25% bump this time.

Alongside the Pixel 10 series, the Pixel Watch 4 will be making its debut on August 20. We doubt Google’s new watches will be any more expensive than its predecessor, though. Meaning the Pixel Watch 4 might end up costing USD 350 for the 41mm and USD 400 for the larger 45mm version.

For the display, the MSI Thin GF63 brings a basic 15.6-inch FHD display with a 144Hz and an abysmal 45% NTSC color coverage. This screen also comes with an old-style 16:9 aspect ratio with thick bezels at the top and bottom.

Performance and memory

As I said at the beginning, this MSI gaming laptop features Intel’s 12th Gen “Alder Lake” mobile processors. It is powered by Intel’s Core i5-12450H, which is an octa-core processor that is capable of handling light to moderate.

As for graphics, the MSI Thin GF63 is either configurable with an Intel Arc A370M dedicated GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM or a NVIDIA RTX 2050 GPU (45W) with the same 4GB GDDR6 VRAM.

Both of them are decent starter GPUs, although you’ll definitely wanna go with NVIDIA for the best gaming experience. For memory, it comes with either an 8/16GB of RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD.
