ZTE Nubia A56 launched in Nepal with a large 5,000 mAh battery

ZTE’s newest budget phone—the Nubia A56—went official a little while ago. It’s simply a rebranded version of the ZTE Blade A56, and this budget phone is now officially available in Nepal as well. And fun fact, ZTE Nepal is also offering 0% EMI option for this budget phone. So without further ado, let’s jump into the specifications and features of the ZTE Nubia A56, along with its official price in Nepal.

ZTE Nubia A56 Overview

Design and Display

In terms of the design, ZTE has essentially glammed up the Blade A55 a little this time. It still has the same boxy design, a teardrop notch for the selfie camera, and an eye-catching power button (that doubles as a fingerprint reader) with a red accent.

But as you can see from the image below, the Nubia A56’s edges around the camera module now have this golden touch-up. In both the “Celestial Black” and “Floating Gold” color options.

ZTE Nubia A56 - Design and Display

It’s also 0.2mm thinner now, although that’s something you’re never gonna notice. As for the display, it boasts the same 6.75-inch HD+ IPS panel with up to a 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness.

Performance

At least ZTE has shown some love in the performance department since the Nubia A56 is now powered by a Unisoc T7200 chip (12nm). It has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores, compared to how the Blade A55’s Unisoc SC9863A1 (22nm) processor only had weak Cortex-A55 CPU cores.

This has been paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage, while the phone boots on Android 15 with ZTE’s “MiFavor” UI on top. And if you want more storage, you can expand it up to 1TB by using a micro SD card as well.

The ZTE Nubia A56 gets its fuel from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging. And of course, it also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.

ZTE Nubia A56 Specifications:

ZTE Nubia A36 arrives in Nepal as one of the most affordable smartphones

Alongside the ZTE Nubia A56, the even more affordable Nubia A36 has arrived in Nepal as well. Which is just a rebranded ZTE Blade A36, by the way. And ZTE was clearly inspired by Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro series when designing this budget phone. What’s interesting is that you can even buy this affordable phone with 0% EMI. So in this article, we will discuss all its details, alongside the official price in Nepal of the ZTE Nubia A36.

ZTE Nubia A36 Overview

Design and display

Looking at the camera design, it’s clear that the ZTE Nubia A36 has a lot of iPhone 17 Pro Max energy to it. We have recently seen a similar trend with other Chinese phonemakers like Realme as well—with the Realme P4 and the Realme P4 Pro—so we’re not totally surprised.

ZTE Nubia A36 - Design and Display

The ZTE Nubia A36 also has a nice accented power button, but of course, that iPhone illusion immediately disappears once you flip it over. Since this budget phone still has a teardrop notch for the front camera. While its entire chassis is plastic-made as well.

And the display itself sees no upgrade over the Nubia A35. Because you’re still looking at a 6.75-inch IPS panel with an HD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Performance and battery

But we do get an upgrade in terms of performance this time. So the ZTE Nubia A36 now has Unisoc T7200 (12nm) chip inside, which has a notable performance jump from the Unisoc SC9863A1 (22nm) chip on its predecessor.

Moreover, you get 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, with the option to further expand the storage via a microSD card. It runs on Android 15 with ZTE’s “MiFavor” UI on top, whereas the Nubia A36 gets its power from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

Nothing Ear (3) makes its debut with a Super Mic!

0

Nothing has just announced its next flagship TWS earbuds, the Nothing Ear (3). Not to be confused with the naming, these are the successors to last year’s Nothing Ear, and not the Nothing Ear (2) from 2023. It comes with a unique “Super Mic” feature, so without further ado, let’s take a closer look at everything the Nothing Ear (3) has to offer, including its expected price in Nepal when it launches here later on.

Nothing Ear (3) Overview

A metal case with “Super Mic”

While Nothing’s previous TWS earbuds shipped in a plastic case, the Ear (3) has a more premium aluminum case. Although the top half of the case remains plastic to retain Nothing’s transparent look. The change in design also includes a small Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) antenna, which the company claims helps improve signal strength.

Available in black and white finishes as always, both the earbuds and the charging case are IP54 dust and splash resistant too.

Like I mentioned before, the Nothing Ear (3) has a unique “Super Mic” feature. So besides the three microphones on each earbuds, its case also has a dual mic setup inside. Users can press the “TALK” button on the case for clearer phone calls in noisy places since Nothing says it can cut out up to 95 dB of ambient noise.

Nothing Ear (3) Metal Case and Buds

But based on a couple of reviews we’ve seen online, this feature doesn’t seem that impressive in real life, unlike what Nothing claims. Moreover, you can also use it for voice recording that syncs with your phone’s default notes app. And if you have a Nothing phone, it syncs with the Essential Space, where your voice notes will automatically get transcribed as well.

You may also like:

Audio quality and battery life

In terms of audio, the Ear (3) upgrades to a larger 12mm dynamic driver (previously 11mm). With this, Nothing says you can expect stronger bass and airy trebles. It also supports spatial audio (but no head tracking) for a more immersive 3D soundstage, while it has AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs. And thanks to its LDAC support, the Nothing Ear (3) is also capable of streaming hi-res 24-bit audio.

As for noise cancellation, these earbuds can drown out up to 45 dB of ambient noise.

But its battery life honestly seems pretty mediocre. Nothing claims 5.5 hours of music playback with ANC on with the default AAC codec, and that number nosedives to just 3.5 hours if you switch to the high-res LDAC codec. Whereas with the charging case, the Ear (3) can last up to 22 hours with ANC on, or up to 38 hours with ANC off.

At least the good news is that a quick 5-minute top-up gives you 1 hour of playback. The Ear (3) takes 70 minutes for a complete refill if you charge it via the USB-C port, and a full 2 hours if you decide to charge it wirelessly.

Other features

The Nothing Ear (3) has carried a bunch of features from its predecessor, like in-ear detection to automatically pause media playback when you take either earbud out of your ears. And resume playback once you wear it back. Nothing phone owners can also talk to ChatGPT directly with these earbuds, while it can also read aloud Essential News.

Nothing Ear (3) user using the product

Other than this, the Nothing Ear (3) unlocks a great deal of features once you pair it with the Nothing X app. This includes things like “Personalized Sound Profile”, an advanced 8-band equalizer to customize the sound, and customizable controls.

Nothing Ear (3) Specifications:

  • Design and build: 30.5 x 21.5 x 20.75 mm, 5.2 gm (per earbud)
  • Durability: IP54 dust/water resistant (earbuds + charging case)
  • Audio: 12mm dynamic driver, PMI + TPU diaphragm
  • Codecs: AAC, SBC, LDAC
  • Noise cancellation: Yes (up to 45dB), Transparency mode
  • Control: Pinch controls
  • Battery capacity: 55 mAh per bud, 500 mAh case
  • Playtime: Up to 5.5 hours (ANC on), 22 hours (ANC on) with case

Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 “all-in-one” PC is now available in Nepal

0

While most of us are familiar with Lenovo by its laptops or even its Legion Tower pre-built PCs, the company even makes AIO (All-in-One) desktops. Like Apple’s iMacs. And now,  Nagmani International, one of the official distributors of Lenovo products in Nepal, has officially launched the ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 with three different Intel 13th Gen CPU choices. So, without any delay, let’s dive into the specifications, features, and the official price in Nepal of the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 Gen 5 (2025).

Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 Gen 5 Overview:

Design and Display

Targeted towards small to medium businesses, the ThinkCentre Neo 50a has a pretty no-nonsense look. It comes in a single “Luna Grey” color option and has an all-plastic build quality, which keeps its weight to around 6 kg. That’s pretty respectable for a 24-inch all-in-one PC.

Another interesting feature on the Neo 50a is that it also has a wireless charging pad at its base with a max 15W of output. So if your smartphone supports wireless charging, we bet you’re gonna find this feature pretty useful.

Moving to the front, the ThinkCentre Neo 50a brings a 23.8-inch IPS display with FHD resolution and -5° to 15° of tilt support. And the best part about its display is that it comes with 99% sRGB color coverage as well as a 100Hz fast refresh rate and an anti-glare coating, making it a great choice for multimedia and productive tasks. Its 250 nits of peak brightness isn’t that exciting, but that should be perfectly enough for indoor usage.

Performance and Memory

Like I said in the beginning, the ThinkCentre Neo 50a has been paired with Intel’s 13th Gen “Raptor Lake” processors. And your CPU options include:

Cores / Threads Base TDP Max boost frequency
Core i3-1315U 6 / 8 15W 4.5 GHz
Core i5-13420H 8 / 12 45W 4.6 GHz
Core i7-13620H 10 / 16 45W 4.9 GHz

All three CPUs do not disappoint in terms of performance and should be able to handle basic to medium tasks with relative ease. But if you have a relatively more demanding workflow, you’ll definitely wanna consider the Core i5 or Core i7 variants.

Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 Gen 5 in a casual office setting

Since those are much more powerful “H” series processors with more cores/threads, higher TDP, and a higher boost clock. That being said, you don’t get a dedicated GPU on these productivity-focused machines. Rather, we have to depend on the onboard Intel UHD Graphics for graphics-related tasks.

In terms of memory, it ships with either 8/16GB of DDR5 RAM, which can be upgraded up to 32GB. While storage is handled by an onboard 512GB Gen 4 NVMe SSD. One more thing, the Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 doesn’t ship with an operating system, by the way. So you’ll have to install Windows, Linux, or other OS of choice on your own.

You may also like:

Everything else…

Moving on, the ThinkCentre Neo 50a has a decent port selection.

There’s one USB-C (10 Gbps) and one 3.5mm headphone jack on the left, while the back of this PC houses an HDMI 1.4, one power input, a couple of USB 2.0 Type-A, one faster USB-A connection with up to 10 Gbps speeds, one Ethernet, one HDMI 2.1, and a Kensington security slot.

ThinkCentre-Neo-50a-Gen-5-Ports

Whereas you have a power button and a camera switch latch on the right. And talking about the camera, you get a 5MP sensor with a 2.5K resolution at the top for your video calling needs. It’s complemented by a stereo speaker setup with 6W of total output, while it stays on via the 135W power adapter.

Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 Gen 5 Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 540 x 192 x 431 mm
  • Weight: 6.0 kg (approximate)
  • Display: 23.8-inch IPS panel, FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 100Hz refresh rate, 250 nits brightness, 99% sRGB, Anti-glare matte finish

    • Intel Core i3-1315U (6C/8T), 4.50 GHz max boost
    • Intel Core i5-13420H (8C/12T), 4.60 GHz max boost
    • Intel Core i7-13620H (10C/16T), 4.90 GHz max boost

Samsung Galaxy A07 review: A good budget phone?

0

So, I’ve brought the review of Samsung’s cheapest phone today. This is Samsung’s new phone called A07 whose price starts from 16,000 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant. Many people have been asking us to write an article review on Samsung’s budget phones too, so let’s see how this A07 phone is…

Samsung Galaxy A07 Specifications

  • Dimensions: 164.4 x 77.4 x 7.6 mm
  • Weight: 184 gm
  • Display: 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity Helio G99 (6nm)

  • Colors: Green, Light Violet, Black
  • Read full specifications of Galaxy A07 here

Samsung Galaxy A07 Review

Design

Now, let’s first talk about this phone’s design. Compared to the previous A06, the design has changed a bit in the A07, it looks better… look how sleek this phone looks, it feels quite comfortable when held in hand. We have the dark green color variant but it’s also available in gray and light violet colors.

The build material is plastic back and plastic frames, as expected from a budget phone, but this phone doesn’t feel that cheap when held in hand. Here Samsung has also given IP54 dust and water rating, which means if it gets light water splashes, you don’t need to worry much. Overall speaking, this phone’s design has to be called good for this price range.

Looking at the bottom, you can see a single speaker grille whose output is okay for watching TikTok or YouTube, not bad. For connectivity, there’s dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, dual 4G SIM support – no 5G support though, and Samsung has also provided a memory card slot. And here on the side there’s also a fingerprint sensor which is considerably fast!

Display

The display quality doesn’t have much of a big upgrade from the A06, it’s quite similar. It’s a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The refresh rate has been increased from the previous 60Hz to 90Hz now, which is good.

Looking at the display, you don’t feel a lack of sharpness, color reproduction is quite good, so if you watch a lot of YouTube videos or Instagram, TikTok, it’s okay for a 15,000 price range.

Software

Now talking about this phone’s software, you get Android 15 here with Samsung’s One UI 7, and I don’t need to keep saying how easy to use and reliable Samsung’s UI is, it’s very clean and minimal, there are no unwanted preinstalled apps here. The AI features of One UI 7 that come in Samsung’s expensive phones are not available here, which felt like a bit of a compromise to me.

That said, software updates come quite regularly on this phone, major Android upgrades come for up to 6 years, that means updates up to Android 21 will come, which you don’t even get on some phones costing one and a half lakh rupees, so Samsung is very good in this regard. Knox security for privacy is also there.

Performance

Galaxy A07 4G Gaming

Next is the question everyone asks a lot – do games run or not, how’s the performance, does it hang as soon as you open two-three apps, does PUBG-like games run or not?

This phone has MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset and this chipset is considered good for smartphones in this price segment. It’s a good upgrade from the Helio G85 that was in last year’s A06.

Performance is okay, no problems in normal daily usage, heavy multitasking can’t be done, apps also take some time to open… It’s okay for using social media, taking light photos, playing small games. Light games can be played, PUBG can run on lowest settings, but it’s difficult to run on the 4GB variant. We also tested the 4GB variant first, but games didn’t run well there. Later when we bought and tested the 6GB variant, we got better results, so if you want slightly better performance, go for the 6GB version.

Performance is done, how’s this phone’s camera?

Camera

Galaxy A07 4G CAMEFA

At the back, you get a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera which I say has no use, it’s just placed there for show.

This is a budget phone so you shouldn’t have too many expectations from its camera. In good lighting conditions, if you keep your hand steady and take photos, this phone takes decent photos.

Exposure management is a bit on the higher side but it does preserve light details. Close-ups can also be taken but the output is just average.

One advantage of Samsung phones is that colors are generally good. And look, the skin tones and edge detection of portraits taken with this phone are also decent. Taking such portraits at this price range is quite good, I’d say.

The 8MP selfie camera output is also decent, the good thing is it’s wider and skin tones also come out naturally good.

For video, this phone can shoot up to 1080p 30fps from both front and back. The output is usable if you shoot while staying still, but if you move even a little bit left or right, it becomes like an earthquake has struck.

Battery

Lastly talking about battery, after buying this phone you won’t have to worry about battery, friends. There’s a big 5000mAh battery here which easily gives backup of one and a half days with heavy use and two days with light use. Regarding charging, even though the charger doesn’t come in the box, you get a 25W charger for free which takes about 1 hour 40 minutes to charge this phone from 0-100%.

Samsung Galaxy A07: Pros & Cons

Pros

  • 6 years of software updates
  • Good build quality for the price
  • Excellent battery life

Cons

  • Average camera performance
  • No 5G support
  • Missing AI features from premium One UI

Samsung Galaxy A07 Review: Conclusion

Ok… now it’s time to conclude this article, and after talking about so many things about this phone, one serious question is: Is the Samsung A07 a good smartphone for less than 20 thousand?

The answer is easily yes, if you want No.1 Samsung’s brand value and No.2 easy to use software. Another suggestion is to avoid the 4/64GB variant, as it is very slow and you won’t even realize when the 64GB storage is full. Adding a little more money and taking the 6/128GB variant is much better!

But if you don’t care much about the a Samsung phone, then taking the Infinix Hot 60 Pro for 21 thousand would be better. Its also the phone we just reviewed recently, where we found that you can actually get a slightly modern design along with OLED display and slightly better performance. That phone offers better value for money compared to the Galaxy A07.

Meizu’s latest flagship phone is actually cheaper than its last one

Almost two years after the launch of the Meizu 21, its successor—the Meizu 22—is finally official as well. This flagship phone not only brings a bunch of upgrades, but it’s also more affordable than the Meizu 21. In this article, we will look at everything the Meizu 22 has to offer, alongside its expected price in Nepal.

Meizu 22 Overview

Design and display

The first thing that’s immediately noticeable with the Meizu 22 is that it now has a different camera module. So while the Meizu 21 has a vertical camera layout like on Samsung’s Galaxy S25, they now sit inside a squarish module similar to the Xiaomi 15 Pro. The phone is available in three colors: black, white, and pink, and it’s also IP66/IP68 dust and water-resistant.

Meizu 22 color options

The display size has been reduced from 6.55 inches to 6.3 inches this time. But the company did upgrade it to an LTPO OLED panel on the Meizu 22. Its full-screen brightness has also gone up from 1,100 nits to 1,800 nits, whereas the Meizu 22 boasts an impressive 6,000 nits of HDR brightness as well.

Other than this, you get a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colors, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a 1.5K resolution, DC dimming, and super-thin bezels on all four sides. With an impressive 94.6% screen-to-body ratio on the Meizu 22’s display.

Performance and battery

The Meizu 22 is now powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and boots on Flyme AIOS 2 based on Android 15. Which is actually a slight downgrade over Meizu 21’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, especially in terms of GPU. Additionally, you can pair it with either 12/16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

But at least the battery has received some upgrade, since the Meizu 22 now has a 5,510 mAh unit compared to 4,800 mAh on the Meizu 21. It still supports 80W wired charging, although the Meizu 22 has also gained 66W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging ability now.

You may also like:

Camera and rest

Likewise, the camera side of things also sees some notable upgrades this time. The Meizu 22 now has a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP front camera. To compare, the Meizu 21 didn’t have a zoom lens at all, and instead featured a 13MP ultrawide, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 32MP selfie unit.

Meizu has downgraded the primary camera’s resolution from 200MP to 50MP here, and it also misses out on 8K recording now, but overall, we’re pretty happy with what we’re seeing on the Meizu 22’s cameras.

Meizu 22 AI button

As you can see from the image above, the Meizu 22 has a distinct red button right below the power button. Meizu calls this the “AI button”, and it’s similar to the Action button on iPhones. With this, you can launch different apps and shortcuts, trigger Meizu’s “Aicy” assistant to ask any questions, and more.

Last but not least, the Meizu 22 has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC connectivity. And yes, it also brings that classic RGB LED notification light in the camera module.

Meizu 22 Specifications:

  • Design, build: 152 x 71 x 8.2 mm, 190 gm, IP66 + IP68 rating
  • Display: 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (4nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 12/16GB RAM, 256/512GB/1TB storage (fixed)
  • Software & UI: Flyme AIOS 2 on top of Android 15
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP 3x telephoto)
  • Front Camera: 50MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (ultrasonic in-display)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 7 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS / QZSS / NavIC, USB-C, NFC, 4G LTE, 5G
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass
  • Battery: 5,510 mAh with 80W charging (80W power adapter provided)

Meizu 22 Price in Nepal and Availability

So as I mentioned in the beginning, the Meizu 22 is actually more affordable than its predecessor. It starts at CNY 2,999 (~USD 422 / INR 37,200) in China for the 12/256GB model, down from CNY 3,399 (~USD 478/ INR 42,170) for the Meizu 21’s 8/256GB variant.

We’ve recently learned that Meizu is making a comeback in Nepal with Teletalk as its official distributor, so hopefully this phone lands in Nepal as well. As such, we expect the price of the Meizu 22 in Nepal to start at around NPR 68,999 if and when it launches here.
