Following the big success of the Pixel Watch 3, Google has just released the Pixel Watch 4 during the “Made by Google” event. The watch features different health and fitness tracking upgrades along with plenty of color options. Let’s dive into what it has to offer, including the expected price in Nepal of the Google Pixel Watch 4.

Design and display
Unlike how Samsung went with a “squircle” look for its new Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic this year, Google clearly didn’t walk the same route with its fourth-gen watch. Since the Pixel Watch 4 is available in the same 41mm and 45mm sizes as its predecessor.
Interestingly enough, the Pixel Watch 4’s charging port has moved from the back to the side. This redesign does mean that your older Pixel Watch charger won’t work here, although this will help a lot with repairability.
The watch also comes with a handful of color options that Google calls “Iris,” “Obsidian,” “Porcelain,” and “Lemongrass”. And as always, it is 5 ATM and IP68 certified for protection against dust and water damage too.
Up front, the Pixel Watch 4 now sports a new domed “Actua 360” display with slimmer bezels and noticeably more screen real estate.
Google says this new dome design results in “10% larger active area” and “16% smaller bezels”. Oh, and the brightness number has also gone up from 2,000 nits to 3,000 nits this time.
Performance and battery
Under the hood, this smartwatch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip along with a Cortex-M55 co-processor. This has been paired with 32GB eMMC storage with 2GB of RAM.
Other than this, it will also be the second batch of smartwatches to run on the new Wear OS 6 platform. With a colorful “Material 3 Expressive” design.
As per the battery on this device, we can see changes for both the 41mm and 45mm variants. The smaller model now has a 325 mAh battery from last year’s 307 mAh, while the 45mm has a 455 mAh battery versus a 420 mAh unit on the Pixel Watch 3. Plus, the charging speed itself sees a 25% bump this time.

Others
Moreover, Gemini has replaced Google Assistant now. With Gemini, the Pixel Watch 4 can now give smart replies personalized with your style and conversation. The AI can even check who is calling and for what reason.
There are also tools for tracking your heart rate, SpO2, breathing rate, sleep, and skin temperature. All in the Fitbit Health Metrics Dashboard.
Other than this, Pixel Watch 4 can detect a loss of pulse as well as car crashes and prompt a call to emergency services with the help of the new Satellite SOS communication. And the Pixel Watch 4 finally upgrades to dual-frequency GPS, too.

Google’s new smartwatches have the same pricing as last year’s model. Meaning the Pixel Watch 4 starts at USD 349.99 for the 41mm and USD 399.99 for the larger 45mm version. When it comes to Nepal, we expect the price of the Google Pixel Watch 4 to start at NPR 54,999.
