Intel has finally announced the 14th Gen Core series processors for desktops. The base is not completely new but it’s a refresh of Raptor Lake architecture. As of now, there are three members in the family: the Core i9-14900K/KF, the Core i7-14700K/KF, and the Core i5-14600K/KF. And the K models are official in Nepal. In this article, we’ll get to the specs, improvements, and price of the Intel 14th Gen processors in Nepal.
Intel 14th Gen Processors Overview:
Minor Improvements
The new 14th-generation processors do not bring a heft of an improvement. Comparing the latest Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K, and Core i5-14600K processors against the last-gen Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K, and Core i5-13600K, the specs comparison shows slight of a performance leap.

So, the 14th gen silicons are basically the overclocked version of the past iterations. The i9 variant tops the clock speed at 6.0GHz. While the i7 model does bring some changes to the core layout. You get four extra E-cores, taking the count to 8P+12E from 8P+8E, and the clock speed also gets a slight boost to 5.6GHz from 5.4GHz. Last but not least is the Core i5-14600K with modest improvements.
Intel Application Optimization
As a new chip lineup, Intel has brought the Intel Application Optimization to improve application threading and thread scheduling. It basically uses the hybrid architecture of the new chips. The company is claiming up to 23% improvement in some games.
Intel XTU Software
The American chipmaker has infused AI via the XTU software. So, the new 14th-generation desktop processors will have AI-guided overclocking with support for DDR5 XMP speeds over 8000MHz.
Connectivity
What’s new in the connectivity section is the discrete support for new Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless technologies. Likewise, it also supports the Thunderbolt 4 as well as the upcoming Thunderbolt 5 with up to 80Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth speed.
