After months of leaks and rumors, Xiaomi’s Redmi K60 Ultra is finally here and it sure packs a lot for the price. In this article, let’s dive into the features, specifications, and expected price of the Redmi K60 Ultra in Nepal.

Redmi K60 Ultra Overview :

Display

The Ultra phone sports 6.67 inches of screen real estate. It features a 144Hz OLED panel of 1220x 2712 resolution. The screen supports HDR 10+ and can go up to 2600 nits of peak brightness.

Besides that, the phone weighs about 204 grams and measures 8.5mm in thickness. It is only the second Redmi phone ever to come with an IP68 dust and water rating (Redmi Note 10 JE takes the crown here).

5 years of Software Support

Redmi K60 Ultra will be among the first devices to receive MIUI 15, a new version of Xiaomi’s user interface. One interesting thing is Xiaomi promising 4 years of major Android updates. Likewise, the phone will get security patches for a whole 5 years, which means the phone will remain secure from potential threats. However, it is not sure whether the current phone will get this update.

Performance and Gaming

The K60 Ultra 5G comes equipped with the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, boasting an impressive peak clock speed of 3.35GHz. The chip offers enhanced performance compared to the vanilla Dimensity 9200. Also, the chip boats the increased clock speeds on all cores, including the main Arm Cortex-X3 core, three performance Cortex-A715s, and four economical Cortex-A510s. Additionally, the productivity of the Immortalis-G715 graphics subsystems is boosted by 17%.

Redmi K60 Ultra achieved a score of 1,774,714 points, setting a new benchmark in performance across all segments.

To elevate the gaming experience, the phone incorporates a special PixleWorks X7 chip for smoother display quality and improved imaging capabilities. The chip applies frame interpolation to double, triple, and even quadruple the frame rate with a latency of under 10ms. It is not something new though as we have seen it being used in other recent flagships such as the OnePlus 11, Realme GT2 Explorer Master, and Honor Magic5 Pro.

AI Super Vision Engine and MAGT Ultra

Redmi K60 Ultra features the Furious Engine 2.0, a performance mode that maximizes the potential of the two processors. The combination of these features ensures that users can enjoy top-notch performance, making the K60 Ultra stand out as a best-in-class device, as claimed by the company.

The Redmi K60 Ultra’s AI super vision engine performs super dynamic rendering of the scenery and saturation of different objects. The MAGT Ultra technology offers real-time monitoring and predicts load, optimizing power consumption and ensuring stable frequency during operation.

Camera

The K60 Ultra features a triple camera setup on its back.  Led by the primary 200MP lens, the setup includes an 8MP  ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor as well. The 20 MP selfie camera is housed in a hole-punch cutout up front.
