Design and Display

As expected of a 3000-series Vostro laptop, the design of the Vostro 15 3520 is not anything to write home about. It comes in a 15-inch chassis that weighs 1.66 kg. Dell offers the laptop in two builds, one with an all-plastic design and the other with an aluminum lid. One thing worth mentioning is the hinge which lifts the laptop’s base slightly when opened. Some details and marketing materials of the Moto G55 5G leaked a little while ago. Now the company has officially launched the phone alongside the Moto G35 5G. In this article, we will look at the Moto G55 5G in further detail including its potential price in Nepal.

Design and Display

We have already had a first look at the Moto G55 5G in the leak. It comes in the standard Motorola design language with a seamless camera bump. True to the leak, the phone is available in three colours: Forest Grey, Smoky Green, and Twilight Purple. The former comes in a monotone plastic back panel while the latter two options have a vegan leather finish. All of them are water-repellent with an IP54 rating.

On the front, it has a 6.49-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also stretches FHD+ in resolution with 405PPI pixel density. On top of that, it features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection.

    Realme had already filled in the spots for its 13 series with a base device, and some pro models, but it seems like the company is eager to step it up with yet another Realme 13. This time around, its the Realme 13 5G powered by a MediaTek Dimensity instead of one of Qualcomm’s offerings. In this short article, let’s glance at the Realme 13 5G specs and features, its expected price in Nepal, and availability details. 

    Realme 13 5G Overview

    Design and Display 

    Starting with the dimensions, the new Realme device is slightly bigger and sleeker than its 4G sibling. The back also loses its dial-like module and mid-strap aesthetic from the previous 13 and 13 pro smartphones and embraces a new dual-tone marble look. Realme 13 5G is available in two color options: Speed Green and Dark Purple, although the latter leans more towards a black colorway.

    On the front, the display is a slightly larger 6.72-inch FHD+ screen but Realme has decided to ditch OLED in the 5G version. So, it’s an IPS screen running at up to 120Hz with a typical brightness of 580 nits.

The MediaTek chip with its dual A76 cores and six A55s is a noticeable improvement over the Snapdragon 685 in the Realme 13 4G. It’s based on a 6nm manufacturing node and can clock up to 2.4 GHz. The smartphone boots on Android 14-based realme UI 5.0 and will likely be supported until Android 16.

    Cameras and Battery 

    The rear of the Realme 13 5G houses a 50MP shooter complemented by an unspecified secondary lens. The primary has an aperture of f/1.8 and supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for videos too (2k res). Flipping to the other side, the 16MP selfie cam is housed in the punch hole.

    The Realme smartphone takes its juice from a 5000 mAh cell inside. And surprisingly, the company has decided to downgrade the fast charging capabilities from 67W in the 4G version to just 45W here.

    Tecno has announced its latest concept smartphone, the Phantom Ultimate 2, which features a tri-fold design. The teaser provided by Tecno showcases some incredible highlights of this concept phone which can not only challenge the likes of foldables but also full-sized tablets.     This latest “Concept” phone is their first one as they previously announced the rollable phone a couple of months back. Getting back to the trifold, when folded, the Phantom Ultimate 2 has a 6.48-inch display. However, when fully unfolded, the screen expands to 10 inches with a resolution of 1,620 x 2,880 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio. Tecno claims this device is the first foldable to incorporate TDDI technology, integrating the display driver and touch sensor on a single chip. Additionally, the device supports screen hovering and features a thin design, measuring just 11mm when folded.

    The Phantom Ultimate 2 uses a self-developed dual hinge mechanism, which has been tested for 300,000 folds. The dual hinges are designed to minimize the screen crease in the middle and allow for various modes, such as laptop mode, where the bottom half of the screen folds into a keyboard, and tent mode, for dual-screen conversations with live translation.

    Multitasking Beast

     The device also supports multi-window mode, which allows users to run three or more apps simultaneously. Moreover, Tecno envisions several unique use cases for the device, although it remains a concept. Despite all this, there is no confirmation regarding what would power this device. But in any case, we expect it to feature a flagship chipset such that it can handle multitasking efficiently.

    Barbie is one of the largest IPs and even got a film last year grossing nearly 1.5 billion USD at the box office. Now Mattel Inc. (creator/owner of the Barbie brand) is partnering with HMD to create a phone. In this article, we will be discussing the HMD Barbie Phone, the beauty of it, and its price in Nepal.

    A little bit of sparkle

    First things first, it wouldn’t be a cool collaboration with a dazzle of its own. So, the HMD Barbie Phone is bundled with some cool accessories. It comes with two back covers for more flair, a beaded lanyard with attachable charms, and some stickers and gems. Furthermore, you also get a USB-A to USB-C cable and a cleaning cloth, both of which are pink.

    It doesn’t stop there though. Even the removable battery of the HMD Barbie Phone is pink! The phone’s UI is customised as well, with Barbie-themed icons, wallpapers, and ringtones. The iconic Snake game has been converted to Malibu Snake. Moreover, HMD has apparently managed to hide in some other easter eggs. This phone is all about self-care too, which is why there are no social media apps here. In addition to that, it offers digital balance tips and Barbie meditation. Lastly, the phone comes inside a pink jewellery box.

    While all the Barbie-themed nitty-gritty is cool and fun, the hardware of the phone is equally important. And about that, the HMD Barbie Phone is pretty much the same as the Nokia 2660 Flip. Also, there are two different variations of the phone, depending on the market. Let’s discuss…

    Design and Display

    Regarding the design, the HMD Barbie Phone definitely looks like the part with the Power Pink colour and flip phone form factor. It has the “Barbie” branding on pretty much all sides. There is a little gap on the hinge for the lanyard to go in. Likewise, the front panel of the phone is pretty much a mirror with a silver coating.

    Underneath the reflective layer sits a secondary display. Yes, it is a dual-display phone just like the modern-day flip phones. However, it is just a 1.77-inch unit with QQVGA (160 x 120 pixels) resolution. It is not a touch panel, so obviously it has limited functionality. Inside, lies a little larger i.e. 2.8-inch display with QVGA (320x 240 pixels) resolution.

    Performance

    For the international audience, the HMD Barbie Phone comes with the UNISOC T107 processor under its helm. It is paired with 64MB RAM and 128MB internal storage combo. The phone boots on S30+ OS and comes with a measly 0.3MP camera. Likewise, there is no mention of navigation or WiFi support on the global version. It has dual SIM 4G support and Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity though.

    Meanwhile, the American consumers get Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset. It is a quad-core silicon with 28nm fabrication while the UNISOC offering is a single-core 22nm unit. Additionally, the RAM and storage size on the American variant of the HMD Barbie Phone is larger at 512MB and 4GB respectively. It boots on KaiOS 3.1 and has a bigger 5MP snapper. It also supports WiFi and navigation. However, the US variant only fits a single SIM and gets an older version of Bluetooth.

    Both phones get a 1,450mAh battery and expandable storage support of up to 32GB via MicroSD card.
