OnePlus Nord CE5 full specs leaked, will feature Dimensity 8350 chipset

The upcoming OnePlus Nord CE5 is shaping up to be a notable upgrade over its predecessor, the Nord CE4. A full specs leak has now surfaced online, just days after its massive battery capacity was revealed. The Nord CE5 is expected to launch in May, and it brings a mix of hardware changes and familiar features.

Larger Battery

One of the biggest changes is the battery. The Nord CE5 will reportedly pack a huge 7,100 mAh battery, a significant jump from the 5,500 mAh cell in the CE4. However, it seems the fast charging speed is getting a slight downgrade, with support for 80W wired charging instead of the 100W seen in the CE4.

Performance

The phone will also feature a change in its processor. OnePlus appears to be shifting from Qualcomm to MediaTek for this model, using the Dimensity 8350 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 that powered the CE4. This change might influence both performance and efficiency, though real-world results remain to be seen.

Display and Cameras

The display remains a 6.7-inch flat OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, much like the CE4’s AMOLED screen. In terms of cameras, the setup seems largely unchanged. The CE5 will use the same 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor as the main camera, paired with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens. The selfie camera stays at 16 megapixels, indicating that photography may see little to no upgrade.

Memory and Extras

Other details revealed include 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will also offer a hybrid SIM slot and come with a single speaker. There’s no word yet on build materials or design, but it’s likely to maintain the plastic frame and glass back seen in earlier Nord models.

OnePlus Nord CE5 Launch and Price

The Nord CE5 is expected to launch sometime in May, with pricing likely to be in the same range as the CE4. If these leaks hold true, the Nord CE5 will appeal to users looking for long battery life and a familiar OnePlus experience, even with a few trade-offs in charging speed and chipset preference.

Xiaomi launches A27Ui 4K Monitor with 100% sRGB color coverage

Xiaomi has officially launched a new 27-inch 4K monitor under its A27 lineup. The Xiaomi A27Ui joins the existing A27i and A27Qi models but with a sharper resolution and more professional-grade features. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 4K Monitor A27Ui 4K monitor in further detail, including its expected price in Nepal.

Design

The Xiaomi 4K Monitor A27Ui has a straightforward and functional design, centered around a 27-inch flat IPS panel with slim bezels on three sides. This layout helps reduce visual distractions and can be useful for multi-monitor setups. The exterior has a matte finish that blends well in both professional and creative workspaces.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor includes a USB-C port that supports video output, data transfer, and up to 90W of reverse charging. When connected via USB-C, the monitor also functions as a USB hub to help reduce reliance on a laptop’s built-in ports. Other ports on the Xiaomi 4K Monitor A27Ui include two HDMI, one DisplayPort, two USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Ergonomically, the monitor offers a solid range of adjustments to suit different setups. The stand allows for height adjustments, forward/backward tilt, left/right swivel, and even pivoting into portrait orientation. Dell Alienware m16 R2 with Core Ultra is now available in Nepal!

Rejoice, Alienware fans as we are getting a new Alienware laptop in Nepal after a long, long time. It’s the Core Ultra 7 variant paired with a powerful RTX 4070, but it has a steep asking price. We also have a Core Ultra 9 variant.. Regardless, let’s quickly go through the features and specifications of the Dell Alienware m16 R2 (2024) alongside its price in Nepal and specifications!

Dell Alienware m16 R2 Overview:

Design and Display

The Dell Alienware m16 R2 is a gaming laptop that comes in an anodised aluminium build and Dark Metallic Moon colour. The laptop features the Alienware logo in purple and “16” engraved on the lid. This time around Dell has trimmed down the protrusion on the back of the Alienware m16 with a re-engineered internal cooling system. Despite the trimming, this laptop is still on the chunkier end weighing over 2.5 kg.

On the front, we are getting a 16-inch display with QHD+ resolution spanning 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It offers a smooth refresh rate of 240 Hz alongside a response time of 3ms. Additionally, the screen comes with a 100% sRGB colour gamut with G-Sync, DDS, and ComfortView Plus support.

Performance

On the performance side of things, Dell’s Alienware m16 R2 can be configured with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. Although there’s also a Core Ultra 7 155H variant, the one making its way to India will sport the more powerful Core Ultra 9 185H. Alongside that, the m16 R2 ships with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with 8GB of VRAM. But we’ll likely see the middle-of-the-road RTX 4060 instead.

Additionally, we are getting 16GB DDR5-5600 RAM with a dual-channel configuration as the memory. Meanwhile, this laptop ships with a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for storage. Furthermore, you can upgrade this laptop with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 8TB of SSD through two M.2 slots.

Battery and the rest

A 90Wh battery powers this laptop with 240W AC charging capability. The Dell Alienware m16 R2 offers wireless connectivity through Intel BE202 WiFi 7 and Bluetooth v5.4. Meanwhile, the port option here consists of two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one HDMI 2.1, one Ethernet port, one global headset jack, and one MicroSD card slot.

Sony launched the highly anticipated a7C II and a7CR full-frame mirrorless cameras a long time back. Now, the former is available in Nepal for purchase. These new photography machines garner the power of the BIONZ XR engine in a compact form factor. Sony a7C II and a7CR Overview:

Compact body

Let’s start with the Sony a7C II first. This Mark II model can be considered as a smaller form of the A7 IV. You get a magnesium alloy and recycled plastic build here as well. It weighs 514 grams with a battery and SD card included. Meanwhile, the Sony a7CR also bags the compact form factor on the lighter side at just 515 grams.

You get 3-inch fully articulating displays and 2360k dot Electronic viewfinders on both a7C II and a7CR. Moreover, Sony has provided weather-sealed bodies for both models.

And talking about the screen, there is a 3-inch flip-up 921k-dot touchscreen LCD, which can also be seen on the a6400 and the a6100. Burst shooting on the device can go as high as up to 11fps with autofocus and auto exposure, the latest real-time tracking AF. Similarly, you can record 4K videos up to 30fps at max.

Meizu is coming back to Nepal with Teletalk as its official distributor

About a year ago, word got around that Meizu was planning to exit the smartphone market to focus entirely on AI. At the time, we believed the Meizu 21 Pro would be the company’s final phone.

But fortunately, that speculation was wrong. The Chinese smartphone brand made a comeback by launching three new models of smartphones. And now it’s heading to Nepal, teaming up with Teletalk as its official distributor. Let’s discuss everything we know.

Meizu comeback

Brand that was big once

Meizu started out in 2003, first making MP3 players, then moving into smartphones. Back in the day, phones like the Meizu M9 and MX series stood out for their sleek design and a custom Android system called Flyme OS. Around 2015–2016 Meizu was a big name in China, going head-to-head with brands like Xiaomi and Huawei.

But things went downhill. Tough competition, lack of new ideas, and weak marketing outside China caused Meizu to fade from the spotlight. By 2020, the brand had almost disappeared from the global scene.

In 2022, Meizu was bought by Geely, the company behind Volvo and Polestar. Since then, Meizu has shifted focus i.e., not just making phones, but also building a tech ecosystem that connects smartphones, cars, and smart devices.

Inside, there’s a dedicated chip that makes voice interactions quick and responsive. The buds only connect to the cloud when activated with “Hi Mi,” which saves battery and adds a layer of privacy. Audio is tuned by Mivi, and you get hands-free control, so it’s easy to use them while multitasking. Furthermore, the hardware and software are designed to work closely together, which should help avoid lag or glitches during use.

HP has launched two new midrange laptops in its refreshed OmniBook series. This includes the standard OmniBook 5 with AMD’s Ryzen AI 5 340 and a higher-end variant with the Ryzen AI 7 350 CPU. So, without further ado, let’s head into the specs, design, features, and expected price of the HP OmniBook 5 series in Nepal in this article.

Display and design

Starting with the display, the HP OmniBook 5 has a 16-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 62.5% sRGB colors. The display also has an anti-glare coating, which helps in reducing reflections indoors, but visibility may be limited in bright outdoor settings since it can kick up to 300 nits of brightness only.

In terms of portability, the HP OmniBook 5 weighs 1.79 kg and measures 18.6 mm thick. For a 16-inch laptop, the weight and dimensions are fairly standard. HP has also used recycled metal for the lid, keyboard frame, and hinge cap. And since it’s a big 16-inch laptop, this guy also has a dedicated numpad.

These processors are paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, which is soldered and not user-upgradable. For storage, both models come with a 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, with no mention of additional drive slots.

This guy relies on integrated AMD Radeon 860M (8 cores) graphics on the Ryzen 7 variant and Radeon 840M (4 cores) graphics on the Ryzen 5 model. While not designed for gaming, it should handle basic graphical tasks and light gaming in titles like Valorant at lower settings.

As for connectivity, the HP OmniBook 5 includes a range of ports and wireless options. It has two USB-C, two USB-A, and a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port for external displays. For audio, there’s a 3.5mm headphone/mic jack and dual speakers. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity. It also features a 1080p FHD IR camera for video calls, along with dual-array microphones.
