Samsung oopsie?
The supposed Samsung phone appeared on the company’s official support page. The codename “SM-E556B/DS” was seen on the said page. This code has been linked with the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G for some time now. Moreover, this page only appeared on the Indian, and Bangladeshi Samsung sites.
This is not the first time a Samsung phone carrying this codename appeared though.
Certifications
The “SM-E556B/DS” smartphone made its appearance on BIS — an Indian certification site — back in January. This certification does not reveal anything per se — other than — that a Samsung smartphone has been certified for launch in India.

Specs Speculation
There is barely any information about the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G available right now. We know for sure that, this phone will be the successor to the Samsung Galaxy F54 and it will more or less be a budget version of the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. So, we will be doing guesswork based on this information.
Design and Display
Design-wise, Samsung has kind of reached its end goal as they have been sticking with a uniform design for all its phones across the board. So, it is quite obvious that the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G will come in that “Galaxy” design we all are familiar with.
On the front, it will likely boast the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Samsung’s F50 series phones are normally water-down versions of their A50 series counterpart. Thus, even though the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G ascended to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ this year. It might come with the same Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection we saw on the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G predecessor.
Performance and more
The South Korean tech giant featured its in-house Exynos 1380 chipset on 54-number phones all across the board last year. The Galaxy A55 naturally progressed to Exynos 1480 this time around. However, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G has been linked up to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 instead. So, this F-series entry might opt for either of two chipsets or even stick with the Exynos 1380. Anyway, it will be a 5G-ready smartphone.
Other than that, we might not see much of a hardware upgrade on the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G. Therefore, Samsung will probably stick with a sole 8GB + 256GB memory and storage configuration. Meanwhile, the optics department will be led by the same 108MP camera coupled with an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP decorative macro shooter. The front camera might also remain unchanged with a 32MP lens sitting under the Infinity-O cutout. In the tank, you will likely see a 6,000 mAh cell, which is on the larger end by the current standard. Lastly, the charging speed might be 25W fast charging.

Given that, the phone has practically made its appearance on the official Samsung website. It suggests that the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is nearing its launch which will happen likely happen in India or Bangladesh. Talking of the price, it will likely sit in the midrange price segment.
