Samsung launched its flagship Tab S9 series, a while ago. Now rumors are surfacing about the Galaxy Tab A9. It has received the BIS certification, pointing to the launch in the Indian market. In this article, we’ll get through the rumored specs and features of the Galaxy Tab A9.

Helio G99 Chipset
As a budget tablet, the upcoming Galaxy Tab A9 will reportedly feature a Helio G99 SoC, running the show on its core. This 6nm fabbed midrange chip from Mediatek has two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2000 MHz. If it goes true, the Tab A9 will offer a significant performance boost as compared to the Tab A7 which came with a Helio P22T SoC. Meanwhile, there is no solid info about the memory and storage options.
BIS Certification
As known, gadgets entering the Indian market has to go through the tests of BIS (Burea of Indian Standards). The BIS listing has now confirmed the launch of the Tab A9 with the model numbers SM-X115.
Battery and Others
As per rumors, the tablet will be powered by a 5,100mAh cell with 15W fast charging support. In terms of design, we can expect a rectangular form factor as the more expensive Tab S9. Build-wise, it will be safe to assume a plastic unibody. Other confirmed features include LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB Type-C port and FM radio support.
