We heard that Motorola was working on the Moto G Power 5G a few months ago. Now the company has formally outed the phone. In this article, we will discuss the new Moto G Power 5G (2024) in further detail including its expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display
The latest iteration of the Moto G Power 5G comes with a design update from the last one. This phone has a design that is more in line with the company’s other recent offerings such as Moto G Play (2024), Moto G24, Moto G24 Power, and Moto G04! Even the flagship Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a similar blueprint. So, it appears Motorola is also taking the Samsung approach and giving all their offerings a uniform look.
Moving on, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) comes with a slightly larger screen than its predecessor. Given that, the screen here is an LCD that measures 6.7 inches diagonally. It comes in an FHD+ resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the phone ships in two colour options — Midnight Blue, and Pale Lilac. Both of these variants come with a vegan leather finish on the back.
Performance
Under the hood, you get the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, which is basically the same chip as the Dimensity 930 featured in the last-gen Moto G Power 5G. When comparing these silicons in NanoReview, we can see the 7020 fares slightly better in the AnTuTu benchmark. Other than that, you get the same configuration, the same fabrication, and the same peak frequency of 2.2GHz.
Memory-wise you get 8GB RAM with an option to expand to 16GB with the “RAM Boost” feature. Similarly, you get 128GB UFS 2.2 storage on the Moto G Power 5G (2024). In the meantime, the phone boots on Android 14 with Moto’s My UX skin on top.

Camera and the rest
The camera department is led by a 50MP primary shooter supporting optical image stabilisation. The auxiliary lens on the Moto G Power (2024) is an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 118° field of view. On the other end, you get a 16MP lens handling the selfies.
Additional hardware features on the Moto G Power (2024) include a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W wired charging. On top of that, you also get 15W of wireless charging support. Furthermore, it is equipped with stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos. Lastly, the phone also has NFC support.
