Honor is getting ready to launch its next-gen foldable phones, including the Honor Magic V Flip 2 and the Honor Magic V5. In this article, we will focus on the latter, which is the follow-up to the Honor Magic V3 (Honor might skip the V4). This new foldable will feature a big 6,000 mAh battery.

Li Kun, who manages Honor’s flagship mobile line, has hinted that their next foldable (likely the Honor Magic V5) will be released in the year’s first half. He also said it will be the world’s thinnest and lightest foldable phone. That’s a bold claim, and we’re definitely intrigued.

Performance and Battery

Reports suggest the Magic V5 will be the only other foldable this year from a Chinese brand, after the Oppo Find N5, to use the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Interestingly, while the Find N5 has a special 7-core version of the chip, the Magic V5 will use the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite, according to Li Kun. Moreover, the phone has passed 3C and CMIIT certifications, confirming a 6,000+mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Tipster Experience says it won’t support satellite calling, but it will allow Beidou satellite messaging, which is still a helpful feature.

Against Vivo X Fold 5?

The Vivo X Fold 5 is expected to feature a 6,000mAh battery. It will be the first foldable phone to cross the 6,000mAh battery mark. Vivo Y19s arrived in Nepal back in November last year, emphasizing strong battery performance and some RGB lighting to give it some colors. Vivo Y19s Overview

Design and Display

Although the name might have you believe it’s related to the Y19, it’s much closer to call it a follow-up to the Y17s. So on the design front, the Vivo Y19s has a sleek look with rounded edges and appears to have a matte or slightly shimmery finish. Furthermore, the phone has a dual rear camera prominently featured, with the cameras arranged vertically in an oval-shaped camera module.

On the front, this smartphone has a 6.68” LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and goes up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. Additionally, it boasts a drop-resistant design and is rated for IP64, making it dust-tight and offering basic water resistance.

Performance

On the inside, Vivo Y19s features a Unisoc T612 chipset, built on a 12nm process and featuring two Cortex-A75 cores and six A55, all running at 1.8GHz, alongside a Mali-G57 GPU.

Furthermore, this chip is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. While all that’s not exactly super exciting, the bright side is that the card tray can accommodate two nano-SIMs and a microSD.

The Vivo Y19s features a standout 5,150mAh battery, which is impressive for a phone of this size. However, the battery charges at a modest 15W. Notably, it is rated to retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,460 cycles, meaning that if you charge it once a day, it should last long even after four years of use.

Camera and the rest

In terms of the camera, the rear camera comes with a 50MP sensor. The selfie camera is inside a punch-hole which has a resolution of just 5MP. In addition to that, there is an RGB LED ring on the camera island which can be used for notifications or to add a bit of flair to music.

Moreover, the Vivo Y19s launches with FuntouchOS 14, based on Android 14. It comes with stereo speakers, and the company claims that in noisy environments, you can boost the volume up to 300%, which is most likely just a gimmick. Additionally, this smartphone includes a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom.

Lenovo LOQ 15 15IRX9 Price in Nepal (2025 Update)

14th-generation laptops have been slowly rolling to Nepal in the last month or so. Notably the new Zenbook 14 with its Core Ultra 7 chipset and just recently the ROG Strix G16 and G18 gaming laptops with their Raptor Lake refresh CPUs. We also expect the 2024 Predator lineup from Acer to make its way to Nepal soon. But wanna know what’s already here ? – the new Lenovo LOQ 15 and 16. In this article, let’s take a look at the Lenovo LOQ 15 (2024), its design, specifications, price in Nepal, and availability.

Lenovo LOQ 15 15IRX9 Overview

Design and Display

We don’t see much departure in the looks department. The new LOQ 15 features a plastic chassis with a decent build like its predecessor (LOQ 15 2023 Review). It weighs about 2.4 kg and is available in Luna Grey color option.

The display panel is a 15.6 inch IPS LCD of Full HD res and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It does have good enough colors at 100% sRGB coverage and features a matte coating. And since it’s a gaming laptop, you do get a fast 144Hz refresh rate with G-Sync support. Do note that not all models have identical screens, so double-check your specs before the purchase.

Performance and Memory

The LOQ 15IRX9 2024 can be configured with both 13th and 14th-generation Intel Core processors. But the highlight is on the new 14700HX.

The Core i7-14700HX in the LOQ 15 is a 20-core, 28-thread chip that has extra efficiency cores (12 > 8), and higher clock speeds than its predecessor (5.5 GHz max clock vs 5.0 GHz) which should bring a performance boost in both single-threaded as well as max load workflows. The 14700HX is a Raptor Lake refresh CPU and is not based on the new Meteor Lake architecture with an Intel 4 process node. But since efficiency, and a better iGPU aren’t the top priorities when it comes to a gaming laptop, the Raptor Lake i7 is a fine choice for the LOQ 15 (2024). Oh! and you have Lenovo’s AI chip (LA1 in this model) for an even better gaming experience and dual fans for cooling.

Currently, you can purchase the Lenovo LOQ 15 (2024) with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 GPU with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 115W TGP in Nepal. As other configurations make their way, we’ll keep updating the article. The laptop comes with 16GB of fast DDR5 (5600MHz) RAM with an extra slot for future upgrades. On the SSD side, you get a 1TB Gen 4 model with an additional M.2 slot.

Under the hood, there’s a decent 60Wh battery and you get a 230W Slim Tip charger in the box that refills the machine in just about an hour. On the ports side, you get three USB-A’s, one type C, an HDMI, a headphone jack, and an ethernet port. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port also supports 140W charging.

Wireless connectivity options include dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. There’s an E-shutter over the 720p webcam and the keyboard features 4-Zone RGB lighting as well.
