It’s only been a few months since the release of the Realme GT Neo 5 (aka Realme GT 3). And it looks like the company is already planning for an upgrade as Realme GT Neo 5 Pro was recently spotted on China’s MIIT certification.

According to a leak, two new Realme phones were recently approved by China’s MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), with the model numbers “RMX3820” and “RMX3823”. Although it’s unclear if these are two different phones or different variants of one phone but one of them is speculated to be the upcoming GT Neo 5 Pro.

And reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has also suggested the launch of Realme GT Neo 5 Pro, alongside other upcoming flagships like the Redmi K60U, OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, and iQOO 11S. The GT Neo 5 Pro will be Realme’s flagship offering and come with the highest-end hardware. On this assumption, it is likely that the phone will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chip.
As expected from Qualcomm’s “+” refresh, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 will bring some slight performance and efficiency gains over the already-excellent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Besides that, the phone is expected to feature a big 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. Just like the regular Realme GT Neo 5, it will have 2160Hz high-frequency PWM Dimming too. It’ll boot on Android 13 out of the box with Realme UI 4.0 on top.

Since this is a flagship phone, we don’t expect Realme to hold back in other aspects either. So the phone could come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Similarly, leaks also suggest a big 5000mAh battery with 100W charging for the GT Neo 5 Pro. Whereas the phone could have a triple camera setup with an optically-stabled 50MP main sensor. On the other hand, its design is also expected to be similar to the Realme 11 Pro series.

Amazfit is a sensation in the smartwatch market with a range of quality products. Its GTR lineup basically revolves around a premium build with all those proprietary fitness tracking features. Today, I’m talking about the Amazfit GTR Mini which was just recently launched in Nepal at 16,400. Having used it for two weeks, here’s my Amazfit GTR Mini Review with its fitness tracking, UI, and battery performance.
The GTR Mini comes in a circular design with an aluminum frame in the middle. Taking a quick glance, you get the feel of a premium design. As usual on a GTR watch, you can find the circular dial on the right side with an Amazfit logo imprinted. And the bottom side houses a PPG sensor for those tracking duties. Amazfit ships this watch with a black strap bundled in the box. The watch didn’t feel heavy. And thankfully, I didn’t get any skin rashes or irritations from the strap at all.

Let’s talk about the display. This circular thing houses a 1.28-inch AMOLED panel with a standard 416 x 416 pixels resolution and 326PPI. As an AMOLED screen, the contents on the watch look crisp with deeper blacks. Be it the inbuilt watch faces or your custom ones, it is a visual treat with flaunting colors and vibrancy. Also, the anti-fingerprint coating keeps all those smudges at bay.
While everything is on the better side, I found the sunlight readability on the slightly underwhelming side. No, you can use it on a sunny outdoors but, I wish, the brightness was a tat bit higher.

Running the show on the screen is Amazfit’s Zepp OS. Scrolling here and there feels smooth most of the time on this 60Hz display. But occasionally, I encountered some UI lags and stutters which should not be common on a GTR watch. I hope Amazfit can fix this in future updates.

Feature-wise, the UI is all packed with goodies. The watch offers PAI, heart rate, Blood Oxygen, Workout, and all such modes. Besides the fitness tracking and features, you get a calendar, alarm, compass, stopwatch, music controls, flashlight, countdown, Find My Phone, Weather, World Clock, you name it.
Talking of the customizations, you can set the menu style in two styles: Hexagon and Classic Style. Plus, the widgets can be set to your preference. And about the controls, a single pressing of the dial takes you to the menu. Similarly, with another press, it takes you back to the home screen. So, to navigate back to a specific interface, you can simply swipe from the left.
Fitness Tracking and Sensors
Let’s get to the health-oriented aspect of the Amazfit GTR Mini smartwatch. With a BIoTracker PPG sensor, this guy can measure your heart rate, and SpO2, track your steps and sleep, plus monitor your exercise via various sports modes. The One-Tap measurement mode is pretty handy which takes 45 seconds to provide your heart rate, SpO2, and stress data at the same time and same page. Besides that, you get a plethora of sports modes to play with.

Well, I’m not a fitness freak, to be honest, I mostly used the watch to track my steps and sleep. And the results were pretty accurate on my usage period. You can rely on it for casual usage for sure. Speaking of accuracy, a smartwatch would not match with a medical-grade device.
But still, Amazfit products are fairly accurate in results and the GTR Mini is also not an exception. Besides that, the inbuilt GPS is also handy for tracking your exercise data with location even though, you don’t carry your phone.

A smartwatch is not complete without a companion app. Here, you get the Zepp App for the GTR Mini which is undoubtedly, one of the best in the market. The app contains adequate features and options.

Besides that, the app lets you change the watch faces and install companion apps for the watch such as a calculator, Navigation Wear, Calorie Intake, and mini games. Plus the Zepp app offers an option to place your customized quick reply texts. And one thing to mention, the watch doesn’t support Nepali (Devnagari) fonts. Furthermore, you also get call alerts on the GTR Mini. But, you can only dismiss it or send a smart reply as the watch doesn’t contain a mic and a speaker.
Battery
The 280mAH cell on this guy tops the juice for an entire week easily. To note, this was with daily steps and sleep tracking with an occasional heartbeat and SpO2 measurement. Plus, the display lit up every now and then with tons of notifications from the social media apps on my phone.
Amazfit GTR Mini Review: Conclusion
All in all, the Amazfit GTR Mini brings in a premium GTR vibe for a price tag of NPR 16,400, which makes it even cheaper than in India. You are sorted with all your fitness tracking needs. The UI is good except for some stutters while the display quality is superb. I really wish, there was a speaker and mic for taking calls. Other than that, the GTR Mini is a viable option in the price range.

And handling the graphics is an Adreno 619 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, it is available in a sole 8/128GB trim in Europe as of now.

Getting to the optics, you are looking at a triple camera setup at the back. The primary camera is a 64MP shooter with OIS while the rest of the lenses are not so useful, including a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensing units. Whereas you’ll find a 16MP selfie shooter inside the hole-punch cutout. Also, the smartphone cannot record 4K videos due to the chipset’s limitations.
Moving on, the V29 Lite is fueled by a 5000mAh battery. It is accompanied by a 44W fast charger, bundled in the box itself. Likewise, the connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. For biometrics security, you get an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In the Czech Republic, the Vivo V29 Lite is priced at CZK 8,499 (around USD 385 / INR 31,700) for the 8/128GB variant. We can expect the Vivo V29 Lite price in Nepal to be NPR 53,499 if and when it launches here.

This cool-looking guy comes with a Military Standard body with aluminum casing all around. Just look at it, the lid looks premium, and the body is slim. Weighing 1.8 kg, daily commuting didn’t feel that heavy at all. Not to forget, the laptop gets opened with one hand, quite effortlessly.

Opening the lid, you are greeted with a 16-inch IPS display with a WUXA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels– which has a very decent viewing angle and a 180 degrees hinge mechanism. Likewise, this 16:10 antiglare panel comes withTÜV Low Blue Light Certification, andSGS Eye Care Display Certification, which is pretty ideal for those hooking up to a screen 24×7. At the same time, the peak brightness is rated at 300nits which is okay for a laptop by the way. Talking of the color gamut, it covers 45% NTSC.
And on my usage period, I found out to be a “more than enough screen’ for work, multimedia, and content watching. So, you get sorted with everyday tasks, be it surfing the web, watching a movie, or writing some articles.
As for the audio, you get an upward-facing stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support. For indoor usage, it’s all good while I would have loved it more if they were a bit louder.

Likewise, the laptop houses a Full HD webcam with a privacy shutter to prevent you from being snitched. The quality is just very fine and much better than 720p cameras, hence it’s good to go for your Zoom meetings or casual video calls.

Also, you get a pretty decent amount of port options here. There are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the right side along with a microSD card reader. Moving to the left, you are greeted with two USB Type-C ports which both support fast 65W PD charging.

But as usual, there is no Thunderbolt 4 support, given that it is an ultrabook with a ‘Ryzen CPU’. (Because AMD Laptops generally do not support Thunderbolt ports). Last but not least is a 3.5mm audio jack and an HDMI 1.4 port.
And talking of the keyboard, you get a 6-row keyboard, with a number pad and also the multimedia Function keys for those handy music playback controls. The typing experience is very good on this thing while the trackpad is also super responsive. And yeah, it’s a backlit one, sufficing the need for use in the dark.
Performance
Alright, let’s head toward the performance side of things. Running the show on the core of this particular Ideapad Slim 5 model is a Ryzen 5 7530U processor. This new AMD CPU is a ‘Deja Vu’ of the Ryzen 5 5625U with minimal improvements and a higher clock speed at 4.5GHz vs 4.3GHz. And following the usual norm, you don’t get discrete graphics here, hence it relies on the default AMD Radeon graphics instead.
Day to Day usage feels smooth and lag-free. I mostly used this guy for writing blogs with multiple Chrome tabs opened, Spotify, and Adobe Photoshop running in the background. And, the experience was as expected, “Super Fine”. By the way, my unit came with 16GB RAM, hence it provided me with a superb multitasking experience.
It is soldered to the system and hence, nonupgradeable. Speaking of the storage, it is a 1TB PCle Gen 4.0 SSD but, the speed is limited to a PCle Gen 3.0’s SSD due to system limitations as per Lenovo. Still, the R/W speed is fast enough for normal users.
Let’s talk about gaming now, shall I? Okay, I played CPU-intensive games like CS Go and Valorant on this guy, and the outcome was satisfactory. On low settings, I got an average of 104 fps while Valorant on similar settings got me 131 fps.
Battery and Charging
The battery life of this laptop is just awesome. It packs a 76Wh battery and I got 7 hours of screen time on normal usage with 90% brightness turned on most of the time. If you are someone who lowers their brightness to 50% or even less, expect an hour or two extra hours of battery life. And you can fill up the juice in less than two hours with the provided 65W Type-C charger. Or else, you can use any 65W PD compatible charger too.
Having used it for more than a week, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 sufficed my daily browsing and working tasks. I absolutely loved the aluminum build with Miltary Standard certification. If you compare it to the last year’s model, there are no major improvements on the performance side, but the 76Wh battery definitely steals the show here from the 56WH of the last-gen IdeaPad Slim 5.
Those seeking for an ultrabook with the proper build quality and enough performance for casual usage, this guy stands as a considerable option at the price of NPR 104,000. Not to forget, you’re getting 1TB SSD storage and 16GB RAM at this price.
