We’re still months away from Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series. But a bunch of leaks and rumors about these flagship phones have already started hitting the internet. And one of the interesting rumors we have heard is that Samsung will also be launching a “Galaxy S26 Pro” this year.

A new product lineup?

Now you might be wondering, since when did Samsung start releasing a “Pro” model in its flagship phone? Well, this “Pro” variant is basically the standard model, but just with a different name.

And while the “Ultra” series isn’t going anywhere, there won’t be a Galaxy S26+ this year either. Which will instead be replaced by the “Edge” model instead with a thin-and-light design.

In short, the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will likely include three devices: Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Slightly bigger display and new camera

Galaxy S26 Pro is rumored to feature a 6.27-inch display, which is barely larger than the Galaxy S25‘s 6.2-inch display.

The S26 Pro is supposedly getting a new image sensor for its primary camera as well, although its exact details are scarce for now. And of course, it will get the next-gen flagship chip, which might be Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2.

But the more interesting upgrade lies in the battery department since Samsung’s new base flagship will apparently get a 4,300 mAh battery. A considerable leap by Samsung’s standards since the Galaxy S25 had a tiny 4,000 mAh battery only.

As we know, many competitors have moved to using silicon-carbon battery technology, but Samsung is still sticking to good ol’ lithium-ion batteries.

Honor, for example, is already testing silicon-carbon batteries with capacities as high as 10,000 mAh for the Honor Power 2.

This only widens the gap, showing how far behind Samsung is when it comes to next-gen battery innovation. There were initial rumors that suggested the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be equipped with a silicon-carbon battery, although it seems those weren’t true after all.

Like always, Samsung will launch its next flagship phones at the beginning of the year. Tech YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead claims he’s seen internal AMD and Sony docs for a console codenamed “Orion,” and if he’s right, Sony’s learned some lessons from this generation. Remember when the PS5 launched as this massive, space-age router that barely fit in TV stands? Well, apparently Sony’s aiming for a 160W total board power this time – actually lower than the current PS5.

It’s funny how we’ve gone from wanting the most powerful console possible to realizing that maybe efficiency matters more than having a jet engine in your living room. The leaked specs point to 8-core Zen 6 CPU and 40-48 RDNA 5 compute units running at 3GHz or higher, which should deliver around 3x the rasterization performance of the PS5.

4K 120fps: The holy grail nobody asked for

The big marketing push seems to be 4K 120fps gaming, which sounds impressive until you realize most people are still playing on 1080p TVs or 60Hz displays. But here’s the thing – Sony’s apparently focusing more on ray tracing and efficiency rather than just throwing more compute units at the problem. That’s actually smart, because ray tracing is where current consoles still struggle most.

They’re planning GDDR7 memory with a 160-bit or 192-bit bus, which is interesting because it shows Sony’s not going crazy with memory bandwidth costs. Sometimes the most impressive thing about new hardware is what the engineers choose not to include.

The Chiplet Question and TSMC 3nm

There’s talk of AMD chiplet design and TSMC’s 3nm process, which makes sense given where the semiconductor industry is heading. Vivo has launched a new smartphone under its G-series, the G3 5G. It’s the successor of Vivo G2, which was lastly launched in China in January 2024. So let’s look at what Vivo has brought to the table with this new G3 5G in this article, alongside its expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

Starting with design, the Vivo G3 has a couple of design upgrades across the board. It now has IP64 dust and splash resistance, and what seems to be “Aura Light” that we’ve seen on Vivo’s “V” series phones. Although here, it doesn’t seem to do anything.

Like most Vivo phones these days, the G3 also received SGS five-star drop-resistant certification, by the way. And in terms of security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint reader here.

But getting to the display, Vivo still went with an IPS panel here with a waterdrop notch, an HD resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate like last year. The only piece of upgrade is that this screen now measures slightly taller at 6.74 inches instead of 6.56 inches.

At least the Vivo G3 has a couple of performance upgrades. It’s now powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 compared to Dimensity 6020 on G2 5G, which brings 5 – 10% performance uplift.

Up front, you get a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. It hits a peak brightness of 670 nits, which is notably lower than some recent budget phones like POCO M7 4G (850 nits).

They’re positioning this as their “flagship portable speaker” with enough power to fill any outdoor space. So, let’s dive into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest JBL Boombox 4, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

The Boombox 4 gets a complete redesign that’s actually 12% lighter than the Boombox 3, which is impressive considering the power bump.
