In case you didn’t know, Ultima is a local OEM brand specializing in consumer electronic products. The “Navigator” is Ultima’s latest smartwatch—and as the name suggests—this is an outdoor-focused timepiece with features to match. 

Including a built-in single-band GPS to get your approximate location, an altimeter to measure elevation level, and also a barometer to check changes in atmospheric pressure. The Ultima Watch Navigator is 3ATM water-resistant too, so if you’re an outdoor enthusiast, this thing’s spec sheet should appeal to you a lot. 

It also has a nice circular AMOLED display with 1,000 nits of peak brightness, and up to 7 days of battery life under normal usage. Its software side of things is where we wish Ultima could’ve done better, and the Navigator’s health tracking isn’t that promising compared to some other smartwatches on our list, so there you have it.

5. Honor Watch X5i

Moving on, the new Honor Watch X5i also finds its way on our list of best smartwatches under NPR 10000 in Nepal. Which looks like a slightly more affordable alternative to Honor's more expensive Choice Haylou Watch, by the way. It has a similar squarish dial and what seems like a rotating dial on the right frame, but there's an additional button here to launch the workout menu. 

The Watch X5i is pretty slim and lightweight to wear as well. It measures just 10.9mm thick while weighing around 28 grams without the strap, so you should have no problem wearing this smartwatch throughout the day. Other than this, it has a large 1.97-inch AMOLED display with pretty thin bezels, although we often noticed some major frame rate drops despite Honor saying this is a 60Hz display.

As for health and fitness tracking, the Watch X5i covers all the basics. Including 24/7 heart rate, stress, SpO2 monitoring, and 109 exercise modes. Interestingly, there's even an app market for this smartwatch with some interesting apps and mini-games. Finally, the Honor Watch X5i is a battery champ since, under normal usage, you can expect up to 21 days of battery life here.

4. Realme Watch 5

The fourth spot on our list of best smartwatches in Nepal under NPR 10000 goes to the Realme Watch 5. And I don't think I even need to point out which watch it reminds us of, right? Hint: it rhymes with “Sapple Swatch Sultra”. But setting the design inspiration (maybe imitation is the better word here) aside for a moment, one thing really impressed me here. Location tracking.

So, just like the Ultima Watch Navigator I mentioned above, the Realme Watch 5 also has single-band GPS. But what's great here is that this guy is fairly quick at latching on to a location signal, and when I checked the actual route it tracked, it was surprisingly close to accurate. As long as I wasn't somewhere with lots of physical infrastructure like trees and buildings. That means if you're into walking, running, or cycling exercises, the Realme Watch 5 could actually be your neat little companion.

It also has an almost 2-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 60Hz refresh rate. I would've loved it more if it had auto-brightness support (and maybe also a higher brightness level), but neither of them is a major dealbreaker. Battery life is another thing I like about the Watch 5, although its health and fitness tracking is definitely not the best you can get for the price. So overall, if you're looking for a budget smartwatch with a particularly head-turning design, Realme has definitely brought a compelling option with this thing.

3. Redmi Watch 6 Active

Now, the newly launched Redmi Watch 6 Active takes the bronze medal on our list. It's the successor to the two-year-old Redmi Watch 5 Active, and compared to its predecessor, this guy brings a couple of really interesting upgrades.

First things first, the Watch 6 Active now brings a much nicer 1.85-inch AMOLED display instead of an IPS panel. With 1,200 nits of peak brightness, outdoor visibility is also excellent here. We love how Xiaomi has also made it significantly slimmer this time—measuring just 9.9mm thick. Pair that with its new quick-release TPU strap, and the Redmi Watch 6 Active should be on the radar of those who want a stylish timepiece on their wrist. That “Sunset Orange” variant looks particularly nice, if you ask me.

In terms of health and fitness tracking, you get all the basics here. Including all-day heart rate, stress, SpO2, women's health, and SpO2 monitoring—alongside over 140 different workout modes. And I was quite happy with all the readings I was getting from this watch. Its software experience with Xiaomi's new HyperOS 3 platform is also pretty great, by the way. The UI feels well-designed and smooth to navigate. The Watch 6 Active also impresses with its 18 days of battery life, but for something that costs a little over NPR 10000, we are definitely quite disappointed with the fact that this smartwatch doesn't have a built-in navigation system. Aka GPS tracking.

2. Moto Watch

I'm also keeping the upcoming Moto Watch here. It's been a while since this smartwatch made its global debut, but we can confirm that the Moto Watch is launching very soon in Nepal as well. And man… does its design punch way above its weight! ‘Cause people were constantly asking me if I was wearing something expensive, and when I told them it's a budget watch, I could see the surprise all over their faces. Not only does it look good to wear, but the Moto Watch is just as well-built.

Its frames are made of aluminum, there’s stainless steel for the rotating crown, you get a proper IP68 dust and water resistance, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 to handle scratches too. Even in terms of health and fitness features, the Moto Watch is probably the most promising budget smartwatch I’ve seen. On paper, at least. 

For one thing, it has dual-band GPS for more accurate location tracking. But the thing is, it didn't really work that well as I walked around Kathmandu streets. And even though Motorola has teamed up with Finnish brand “Polar” for its heart rate monitoring tech, I wasn't too impressed with its step and sleep tracking all that much. Maybe this is something Motorola could fix with an update or two, but that's what you're getting out of the box here.

1. CMF Watch 3 Pro

Finally, the just-discounted CMF Watch 3 Pro takes home the coveted gold medal on our list of best smartwatches under NPR 10000 in Nepal. It originally launched for NPR 14,999—but right now—you can get it for just NPR 11,999. Which I know is still a couple of thousand rupees more than our optimum budget, but if you want the very best smartwatch in this segment, this CMF watch is definitely a strong contender. 

You get a classic circular dial here, that too with premium metallic frames. Although I will say that the Watch 3 Pro's large 47mm dial definitely may not look the best if you have a relatively small wrist. Its AMOLED display with a smooth 60Hz refresh rate is a joy to look at as well, and if you're a fan of minimal design, then the way Nothing has designed the user interface around this watch should also feel right at home. 

What's even better is that the CMF Watch 3 Pro is also among the most reliable health + fitness trackers I have seen in this segment. I wish it were more in-depth in terms of analyzing my health data and making appropriate suggestions, but overall, everything from heart rate to sleep, stress, and SpO2 tracking was well within the margin of error on this thing. I was also pretty stoked about its location tracking, by the way. But unfortunately, that turned out to be a bit disappointing—at least considering that the Watch 3 Pro has dual-band GPS.
