    The IdeaPad Pro 5i (2025) is an Intel Evo machine running up to a Core Ultra 9 H series processor. That’s a pretty beefy chip and can go up to 135W in the IdeaPad. There are no dedicated graphics in such a slim notebook but you do get Intels’ upgraded Arc graphics integrated alongside the CPU. 

    A similar story is the memory which is pretty fast (8533MHz) but non-upgradable. But 32GB of RAM alongside 1TB of NVME SSD should be plenty for most office and productivity needs. Nevertheless, there are dual M.2 slots for future expansion just in case.

    Battery and Extras

    The IdeaPad Pro 5i Gen 10 is running off a large 84Wh battery powered via the Type-C port at up to 100W. There’s another Thunderbolt 4 port as well, alongside two type-A ports, an SD reader, a full-sized HDMI, and an audio jack. The ultrabook also has WiFi 7 support for fast wireless connectivity. 

    On the top, there’s a 1080p IR webcam with Windows Hello support while you also get a dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. The keyboard and trackpad look pretty nice too with 1.5mm of travel and glass topping respectively.

This legal change encourages global expansion for Nepali IT companies while supporting Nepal’s economic growth. The primary goal of this decision is to help Nepali IT companies compete internationally. In addition, it aims to generate foreign income, which is expected to strengthen Nepal’s economy.

    Process for Foreign Investment

    Companies looking to invest abroad will need to apply to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The Ministry will assess the company’s capacity before granting approval. After approval, Nepal Rastra Bank will assist with the foreign currency exchange process.

    Industry Reactions

    According to Kantipur, some industry experts welcomed the decision, seeing it as a positive step for the growth of the IT sector and a move towards achieving the $6 billion export target over the next decade. However, others raised concerns about the lack of clarity regarding earlier investment provisions and the potential for restrictions. There were calls for more flexible policies to manage investments and skilled manpower effectively.

    In 2022, IT exports contributed $515 million to Nepal’s economy. IT services accounted for 1.4% of GDP and 5.5% of the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

    Design and Display

    Right from the get-go, it is pretty clear that Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is trying to emulate what the higher-end Note offering did last year. Among the available designs, a single purple color option sticks out the most with a vegan leather finish — similar to the Note 13 Pro+! Additionally, the phone comes with IP68 water and dust resistance — pretty reminiscent of you know which phone. It also dons a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front adding to its toughness. The overall design has been overhauled with a reshaped and relocated camera island.

    Along with the aesthetic, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G gets an upgrade on the performance side of things as well. Firstly, the new phone houses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, which is decently better than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 on its predecessor. It is available in two configurations, those being: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Likewise, the battery is 5,110 mAh. However, the charging speed has dropped to 45W from 67W, which is still plenty fast.

    The camera department gets some adjustments too. Xiaomi has once again gone for a 200MP main sensor on the global variant, ditching the 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor found on the Indian and Chinese variants. A while ago, the Chinese company launched the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in China and India. While the global version is also out with some changes and it has gone official in Nepal.     The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ features come with a slightly revamped design as compared to the Note 13 Pro Plus.     Xiaomi just updated its popular midrange offering under its sub-brand — the Note series. Given that, the Redmi Note 13 5G has now been succeeded by a newer phone with welcome upgrades in Nepal. We will discuss the Redmi Note 14 5G further in this article along with its official price in Nepal.

    Design and Display

    The core design of both phones remains the same, however, the Redmi has given the Note 14 5G enough tweaks to be visually distinguishable. The camera cutout has grown larger, while the back panel has gone back to being curved. Similarly, the camera island has gone a bit softer with the edge and the LED flash has shifted a coupled millimetres up.     The MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra serves as the brain of the Redmi Note 14 5G. With 6nm fabrication and a higher 2.5GHz clock speed, this chipset offers a decent upgrade over the Dimensity 6080 on its predecessor. Furthermore, the chip is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. However only the 8/128GB and 8/256GB are likely to launch in Nepal For battery, it has a sizable 5,110 mAh cell with 45W charging support.

    Camera and the rest

    The primary shooter on the Redmi Note 14 5G is a 108MP OIS-enabled lens coupled with a Sony LYT-600 sensor. Additionally, there is an 8MP ultrawide unit and a 2MP macro sensor. The latter barely adds to the photography experience though. Meanwhile, a 20MP camera sits on the front for selfies and 2D face scanning.
