There is a built-in digital image stabilization system, with an additional boost mode available for steadier video.

5-Axis IBIS and Fast Autofocus

The camera features 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) with up to 7 stops of compensation. This helps reduce camera shake when shooting handheld or in low-light conditions.

It uses an Intelligent Hybrid AF system that combines phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus. Subject detection modes include face/eye, animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, airplanes, and trains.

OLED EVF and Vari-Angle LCD

The X-H2 features a 0.5-inch OLED electronic viewfinder with 5.76 million dots and 0.8x magnification. It also has a 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD with approximately 1.62 million dots for flexible shooting angles.

Fujifilm X-S20 Officially Launches in Nepal with 6K Video and Deep Learning AF

0

Fujifilm has officially launched the X-S20 mirrorless camera in Nepal. It brings several high-end features into a compact body, including 6K recording, AI-powered autofocus, and long battery life, making it one of the most capable APS-C cameras in its class. This article will discuss the latest FUJIFILM X-S20, including its expected price in Nepal.

Fujifilm X-S20 Overview

X-Processor 5 Performance

For the first time in the X-S series, the X-S20 is powered by the X-Processor 5—the same chip used in Fujifilm’s flagship X-H2S. This processor is twice as fast as the previous generation, enabling smarter autofocus, improved power efficiency, and reduced rolling shutter during video capture.

The X-S20’s autofocus system includes subject detection powered by deep learning. It can identify and track faces, eyes, animals, cars, motorbikes, birds, airplanes, and even drones. This makes it useful for various real-world use cases, including action, wildlife, and tech content creation.

Video Capabilities

The camera supports internal 6.2K video recording at 30fps, oversampled from the full sensor width. Additionally, it allows external recording of 12-bit ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW via its micro-HDMI port—something rarely found at this price segment.

For extended video shoots, the X-S20 is compatible with Fujifilm’s FAN-001 active cooling accessory. With this, 6K recording time can extend from 32 minutes to around 78 minutes—especially useful for interviews or long-form content.

Battery Life

The NP-W235 battery inside the X-S20 is rated for up to 750 shots (CIPA standard). In everyday usage without EVF or IBIS, many users have reported getting over 1,000 shots per charge. A dedicated Vlog mode gives users quick access to background defocus, product focus, and touchscreen control. The camera also includes both microphone and headphone jacks—a notable addition in this compact category.

Film Simulations

Like other Fujifilm cameras, the X-S20 offers a wide range of film simulations, including Eterna Bleach Bypass, Classic Neg, and Acros. These can be applied directly during recording, acting like built-in LUTs to save time in post-production.

Design and Usability

Though more compact than most DSLRs, the X-S20 offers a deep grip for better ergonomics—especially preferred by users with larger hands. It also features a fully articulating screen, unlike the tilt-only design of the X-T30 II.

The X-S20 can be used as a 4K60 livestreaming camera by connecting directly to a computer via USB-C. It also supports wireless control, transfer, and preview through the FUJIFILM XApp.

FUJIFILM X-S20 Specifications

  • Sensor: 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4
  • Image Processor: X-Processor 5
  • Storage: SD / SDHC / SDXC (UHS-I supported)

Canon EOS R10 and R7 mirrorless cameras now available in Nepal

Canon added two new members to its mirrorless R-series, called the Canon EOS R10 and R7, couple of years back. These were the first from Canon to feature an EOS R APS-C crop sensor. And now they are finally available in Nepal. Here, we will go through the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Canon EOS R10 and EOS R7 in Nepal.

Canon EOS R10 Overview:

The EOS R10, the series’ entry-level model, is a compact mirrorless camera with a 24.2MP sensor. Because it’s an APS-C CMOS lens, it offers 1.6x more telephoto reach than equivalent focal lengths on a full-frame camera. The back of the camera flaunts a 2.36M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF) and a 3-inch fully articulating touchscreen with 1.04M-dot resolution.

Inside, the camera is powered by a DIGIC X processor which allows for 15fps burst capture with the mechanical shutter and 23fps with the electronic shutter. The R10 has auto-focus ability as good as the more expensive R-series camera, which allows it to track humans, vehicles, and animals. But, it can’t do things as quickly since it lacks backside illumination and the sensor here is not stacked either.

On the video side of things, the R10 can capture 4K videos at 30fps by supersampling the full width of the sensor. You can also shoot 4K 60fps videos, however, it crops the frame by 1.56x. Also, it’s worth noting it can not shoot C-Log or RAW videos.

In addition, the Canon EOS R10 accepts UHS-II SD cards, has a built-in flash, Canon’s multi-function hot shoe, and a joystick on the back of the camera to make navigation easier. The EOS R10 is fueled by a Canon LP-E17 battery.

Canon EOS R7 Overview:

The EOS R7, on the other hand, sports a 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor with a 1.6x crop ratio. It has the same DIGIC X processor as the R10, however, it can capture up to 30fps in electronic shutter mode and up to 15fps in mechanical shutter mode.

The R7 can capture 4K video at up to 60 frames per second in 10-bit color. However, the recording time in this resolution is limited to 30 minutes. Nonetheless, you may record Full HD video at up to 120 frames per second without being limited to a 30-minute recording time. Also, it supports C-Log 3 recording and in-body image stabilization.

This camera, unlike the R10, is meant to be dust and moisture-proof. The viewfinder and screen dimensions remain the same, yet the display resolution has been increased to 1.62M.

Furthermore, the EOS R7 has all of the I/O choices of the R10, as well as two UHS-II SD card slots on the side and a headphone jack. Likewise, it is driven by a bigger LP-E6NH battery.

New Lenses

Canon also introduced two new RF-S lenses for the smaller sensor-size cameras. When used with an APS-C sensor, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM lenses have a 1.6x crop factor. These lenses are compatible with any R-series camera.
