HP is one of the most popular PC manufacturers offering many different options. They just introduced four new 14-inch Chromebooks with multiple configurations to their already wide selection. In this article, we will look at the latest HP Chromebook 14 series including all its variants as well as their expected price in Nepal.

HP Chromebook 14 Series Overview

The HP Chromebook 14 Series includes three members i.e. HP Chromebook Plus x360, HP Chromebook Plus, HP Chromebook x360, and HP Chromebook. The Plus variant comes with a comparatively powerful chipset compared to the others.

Design and Display

As the name suggests, the HP Chromebook Plus x360 and the HP Chromebook x360 are a convertible laptop featuring a fully rotatable design. On the other hand, the HP Chromebook Plus and the base HP Chromebook are standard laptops with a regular range of motion. All these models come in a monotone finish with a large company logo slapped onto the lid, while a tiny series branding accompanies on the top corner.

Moving on to the display, you get a 14-inch panel with an anti-glare finish across the board. The two convertible options unsurprisingly come with touchscreen support while the regular variants miss out on it. Similarly, the Plus model comes with a higher FHD resolution while the regular models are stuck with HD only.

Performance

Moving on to the performance side of things, the HP Chromebook 14 series comes with low-powered processors.

Starting with the HP Chromebook x360 and the base Chromebook, you get two Intel processor options. Those are either Intel N100 or Intel N200. Both these processors come with four cores, four threads, and a 6MB L3 cache. However, the former clocks in at a maximum of 3.40 GHz, while the latter reaches up to 3.70 GHz. Additionally, you get either a 4GB or 8GB of memory alongside a 64GB or 128GB storage option.

In the meantime, the Plus variants pack the Intel Core i3-N305 processor that doubles the cores and thread count, while sticking with the same cache size. It also pushes the clock speed to 3.80 GHz. Similarly, in the storage department, you get a sole 8GB LPDDR5 RAM while for storage you get a higher 128GB or 256GB of UFS storage. Moreover, all these laptops boot on ChromeOS.

Battery and the rest

In the tank, you get a 47Wh battery with 45W charging support. These two variants deviate in the webcam department as well. Here, the base variants come with a 720p camera while the Plus versions have 1080p shooters.

Meanwhile, the port options are minimal on the HP Chromebook 14 series. This includes one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, one USB 3.0 Type-A, and one 3.5mm headphone jack on the base variants. On the other hand, the Plus variants get an extra USB Type-C port. Lastly, you get WiFi 6 and Bluetooth v5.3 support on all these laptops for wireless connectivity.

OPPO launched its premium Reno 11 series back in November 2023 with stacked specs. Now, they have added a new member to the series in the form of OPPO Reno 11 F 5G and this guy goes official in Nepal too! Let’s take a deeper look at the OPPO Reno 11 F 5G including its official price in Nepal.

OPPO Reno 11 F 5G Overview

Design and Display

The phone comes in a flat boxy design with an IP65 rating and a large rectangular camera island. Additionally, there are two circular cutouts for the cameras that house three lenses. All this makes the rear panel of the phone very eye-catching. The OPPO Reno 11 F 5G is available in three colours: Palm Green, Ocean Blue, and Coral Purple. The first, and the last option come in a glittery finish while the middle one flaunts water-like patterns on the back.

On the front, you are greeted with a 2.5D curved screen that measures 6.7 inches diagonally. The panel here is an OLED that is twice-reinforced by Panda glass. Meanwhile, the screen spans FHD+ in resolution with 1,080 horizontal and 2,412 vertical pixels. It also offers a refresh rate of 120Hz, maximum touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and peak brightness of 1,100 nits. Other than that, it supports a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Performance

For its primary performance, the OPPO Reno 11 F 5G relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. This is a 2023 processor that comes with eight cores, 6 nanometre fabrication, and a peak clock speed of 2,600 MHz. Meanwhile, the graphics on this phone are handled by ARM Mali-G68 MC4.

The silicone is then coupled with an LPDDR4x-4266MHz RAM and UFS3.1 storage. This phone only comes in a single 8GB + 256GB configuration. However, it does offer RAM extension and storage expansion of 8GB, and 2TB via a MicroSD card respectively. In the meantime, this phone boots on the ColorOS 14.0 based on Android 14.

A 64MP primary shooter with autofocus support spearheads the camera department on this phone. Two new Nothing earbuds are coming — with a new naming convention!

Nothing’s earbuds have been iconic in some shape or form so far. Recently the company announced that they will be resetting the naming convention of the product while also launching two new earbuds. This article will look into the upcoming Nothing Ear and Ear (a) including the history of their earbuds alongside the new naming and its implications.

Nothing Ear and Ear (a) Overview

Design

At this moment, not much is known about the products themselves. However, the company has put a great emphasis on the design dubbing it the “ultimate iteration”. This suggests that the company has reached an endpoint with the design and we will not see many tweaks hereafter.

History

Additionally, the company also announced resetting the naming scheme for its audio lineup. So far, they have launched three earbuds. Firstly, they started the lineup and the company with the launch of Nothing Ear (1) in 2021. Two years later, they followed up with the Nothing Ear (2). In the meantime, they launched the Nothing Ear (Stick) in between. But these half-in-ear earbuds seem to be irrelevant and forgotten at the moment.

Moving on, Nothing is dropping the numbering from their product names. This means the upcoming iteration of the earbuds will not be dubbed “Nothing Ear (3)”. Instead, the company will be sticking with “Nothing Ear” only.

Meanwhile, a more affordable wireless earphone will be sharing the stage with the upcoming “Nothing Ear”. Following in the footsteps of their phones, these budget earbuds will be dubbed the “Nothing Ear (a)”.

The new naming

The company cites that stripping the numbers from the name will allow “to centre the focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user.” Now what does that mean? To me, it sounds like a bunch of “nothing”.

The bottom line is that this design-focused company has finally decided on the design of their audio products and they will be sticking to it hereafter. Therefore, the upcoming earbuds will be a milestone when you look back at it. And in order to signify the gravitas, the company is switching up the naming trend.

Implications

Now, it’s cool and all that Nothing has reached its final destination with its earbuds’ design. However, it opens up a new confusion regarding the future offering. How are we going to identify this Nothing Ear from the one that will launch a year later? Perhaps we will have to slap the launch date after their name.

Nothing Ear and Ear (a) Launch and Availability

Nothing announced the upcoming earbuds along with their decision to opt for a new naming scheme through their social media. In the same post, they also dropped the launch date for their new products. That being said, the Nothing Ear and Ear (a) will launch on 18 April 2024!

Asus’s latest Vivobook Pro catered for both ‘pro creators’ and ‘pro gamers’ is now available in Nepal for an appealing price. In this piece, let’s take a look at the all-new Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (2024), its unique features, full specifications, price in Nepal, and availability details.

Design and Display

The new Vivobook Pro 15 features a modern and minimal design with a subtle ‘Vivobook’ branding on the lid. Its dual-tone keyboard, paired with the Asus DialPad, gives the Vivobook Pro a unique look that you’ll not get elsewhere. The overall package has a bit of heft to it measuring just shy of 20mm in thickness and weighing 1.8 kilos but that does mean a bigger battery, better cooling, and some extra ports. It also makes for a durable product, one that has passed the US MIL-STD 810 tests.

The 3.2K Lumina OLED display is one of the major highlights of the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 (2024). The 15.6” panel features a fast 120Hz refresh rate, Pantone-validated colors, and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Other notable features include a minimal 0.2ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR certification, and TUV Rheinland certification for a low-blue-light and flicker-free experience. We also have a FHD variant of this same laptop with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Pro notebook supports up to a Core Ultra 9 185H from Intel. These latest Meteor Lake chipsets not only promise improved CPU performance but also greater efficiency and a huge boost in onboard graphics. The latter might not be very relevant in the Vivobook Pro 15 (2024) though as it ships with dedicated graphics with up to an NVIDIA RTX 4060 running at around 75-80W (125W TDP for CPU+GPU). All this is cooled with a triple-vented dual fan design dubbed the Asus IceCool Pro.

Memory-wise, you get up to 24GB of 5600MHz DDR5 sticks with an upgradable SO-DIMM slot alongside support for up to 2TB of fast Gen 4 SSD storage.

The laptop ships with a slew of ports from Thunderbolt 4 to an Ethernet port and HDMI. There are two USB Type-A ports, two Type-Cs (one Thunderbolt), an RJ45 for ethernet, an SD reader, an HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

The battery is a 75Wh cell powered by a 200W AC adapter that fills it up to 50% in under half an hour. You can also charge it via the USB-C ports on the right. There’s the Asus DialPad for precise control of settings and elements in your creative apps, and a number pad on the right for crunching digits when needed. The 5MP webcam comes with a physical privacy shutter while there’s also a built-in NPU in the Core Ultra chip for accelerating AI-related workflows.

I have already stated that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will more or less be a rebrand of the Galaxy Watch 4 that launched back in 2021. As such, it will probably come in round casing. Or they might go square perhaps?

Other than that, the watch will likely receive a software update and boot on the latest Google Wear OS. Meanwhile, it should have the same flagship-like features and functionality.

There is barely any information on this FE model of the Galaxy Watch as of now. However, we can assume that it will cover more budget-friendly space. Maybe, around USD 100 to 150 range?

Not after the long release of the Honor X7b, Honor has officially listed a 5G variant on their website. While the smartphone doesn’t differ a lot from the 4G variant, it does come with an upgraded chipset.
