Xiaomi 17 Pro Max teaser confirms a new design, and completely skips the 16 series

0

Xiaomi just teased its new flagship series and confirmed it’s launching the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max later this month in China. But surprisingly, they have skipped the 16 series entirely and seems like they want to line up with Apple’s iPhone 17 naming scheme. The 17 Pro Max is the flagship among this series, but it appears that Xiaomi might also launch the 17 Ultra, but much, much later. Now, let’s jump in this, where i will cover everything about the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, including specs, rumors, and what we know about availability.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max Overview

Display and Design

Xiaomi 17 pro max design

From what we’ve seen, the 17 Pro Max looks almost identical to the 17 Pro. The big talking point on both of these phones is the secondary display on the back, sitting in the camera island. The design is clean, and it keeps the triple Leica cameras upfront. The main differences from the 17 Pro could be size and maybe slightly different camera sensors, or battery sizes, but we don’t know for sure yet.

The rear screen looks big enough to run full-screen apps, similar to the Pro. Xiaomi briefly posted a photo on Weibo before taking it down and it could have been a teaser, but it could also be a slip-up. Either way, it confirms what people have been guessing about the back design.

Performance

Under the hood, it’s running the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That’s the newest flagship from Qualcomm. Now, the 15 Pro already went all-out with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, so we already saw what that chipset was capable of, and for that reason, there would be no reason to buy this phone simply for the performance, if you already own one of those Xiaomi flagship. But what might be interesting is what the new chip can do beyond just performance like AI, camera tricks, maybe battery efficiency, or improved connectivity?

Battery

The 17 Pro Max is rumored to have a 7,500mAh battery, which is the biggest in the 17 lineup. The regular 17 sits at 7,000mAh, and the 17 Pro is likely just a little smaller than the Pro Max because it’s more compact. For reference, the 15 Ultra had a 5410 battery, so we’re seeing a decent bump here. All three phones share the usual flagship goodies: big batteries, high-refresh displays, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 but the Pro Max is about size and maybe camera power. Its predecessor, the Mi 11 Ultra, was a huge hit, and Xiaomi seems to be following the same playbook.

Interestingly, before it got the Pro Max tag, this phone was rumored to be the “Ultra,” just like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. That phone is still one of the best options in Nepal under 150,000 NPR. Looks like Xiaomi is trying the iPhone-style Pro/Pro Max naming. And whether an Ultra model will come later is still anyone’s guess. But in my opinion, it should, after all, the camera in the Pro Max doesn’t really appear to be upgraded compared to the 15 Ultra’s quad camera.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max Specifications (Rumored)

  • Display: 120Hz LTPO main panel, narrow 1.1mm bezel
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Memory: 12/16GB, 256GB,512GB

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra renders are now online

0

Last week has been pretty wild in the smartphone world. On one hand, we’ve had all the hype around the launch of the iPhone 17 series, and on the other, plenty of chatter about the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max redesigns (with those rear screens making headlines). Now it’s Samsung’s turn to step into the spotlight, as the Galaxy S26 Ultra has leaked in renders that give us our clearest look yet at the Korean giant’s next flagship. So, let’s dive in.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Rumors

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Rumors

Through the newest leaked renders, it fairly appears that the Galaxy S26 Ultra doesn’t seem to reinvent itself, not by any stretch, but it definitely looks more polished than the S25 Ultra. The bezels are now slimmer, which makes the 6.89-inch display feel even larger, even though the actual size barely changes from last year’s model. Samsung will almost certainly market it as a 6.9-inch screen, just like before.

The design is also noticeably curvier, both along the edges and in the corners. If you’ve been following Samsung’s design language, you’ll notice the S25 Ultra leaned a little flat and boxy, but the S26 Ultra looks more organic. Even from the side profile, the edges now form more of a pill-shaped curve rather than the flat sides we’re used to.

And then there’s the screen tech itself. Samsung’s display surprises are still under wraps, but leaks hint at features like Flex Magic Pixel, which uses AI to tweak viewing angles and possibly even boost privacy, and CoE tech, which should improve brightness, outdoor visibility, and power efficiency. Moving on to specific display specs, we are absolutely unsure about what this latest flagship will feature. Last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra featured Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X, so my guess is the same for this as well. And talking about materials, Samsung will likely continue with the Titanium, even though Apple ditched it this year.

Will there be an S Pen?

The Galaxy S26 Ultra was previously rumored to ditch the S Pen to make room for a bigger battery or new features like Qi2 wireless charging, but from recent leaks, it looks like it is set to keep the beloved built-in S Pen. Recent leaks from tipster Ice Universe have confirmed that the phone will feature a dedicated S Pen slot on the bottom. And according to the leaks, the S Pen could see some upgrades too, a new hexagonal shape, improved digitizer to reduce magnetic interference, and better compatibility with foldables and magnetic accessories.

Cameras

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra camera

Samsung’s Ultra series has always been about cameras, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra looks set to keep that tradition. The main 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor is rumored to feature a wider f/1.4 aperture, up from f/1.7, which could let in about 47% more light for sharper shots and better low-light performance. It’s also expected to get AI-powered processing through the upgraded ProVisual Engine, including 8K 60fps video. The 50MP ultrawide might get a brighter f/1.9 aperture, while the 50MP 5x periscope telephoto could go up to f/2.9, with the AI-assisted zoom reach up to 100x, featuring a new laser autofocus system rumored across all lenses. Even the 12MP front camera may get laser AF for portraits.

The 3x telephoto lens, though, could be a bit controversial. New leaks suggest it might use a 12MP sensor, possibly cropped down to 10MP, which could hurt low-light performance compared to competitors. The same leaker, Ice Universe, even called it a “downgrade,” so it will be interesting to see how it performs in real life. Early rumors about a 200MP periscope or variable-aperture main lens have died down, with Samsung likely sticking to the existing sensors to save space for a slightly bigger battery.

On the design side of the camera module, the leak shows us that Samsung is about to switch things up with a single raised camera module instead of the separate floating rings from the S25 Ultra. The triple camera plus periscope setup is still there, but the unified module makes the back look cleaner and more like Samsung’s midrange Galaxy A phones.

What Else We Know

In terms of lineup, Samsung is expected to go with three models: Ultra, Pro (the new name for the standard model), and Edge. The Plus variant might be scrapped altogether. As for timing, the launch window is rumored for January 2026, which would fit Samsung’s usual cycle.

Samsung’s Silicon-Carbon Battery Plans?

Samsung was rumored to be developing silicon-carbon batteries to improve power efficiency while maintaining a slim design at the same. But it seem that we this device will not be featuring the 7500 mAh Silicon Carbon battery as previously told.

Although it’s about time for Samsung to go big on batteries because Chinese smartphone manufacturers have already started adopting Si/C batteries. Almost every other Chinese smartphones, from budget to flagship now feature batteries that range anywhere from 6500 mAh to 8500 mAh as well.

Performance

While its too early to tell, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite series. Previously, the chipset that could be used in the Galaxy’s upcoming flagship series was rumored to be either of Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. But with the latest teaser of Xiaomi 17 Pro series, it appears that the SD 8 Elite 2 will instead be called 8 Elite Gen 5. Similarly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Price in Nepal and Availability

Samsung has not officially confirmed the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s pricing or release date. If launched in Nepal, it is expected to start at no less than NPR 190,000, based on current flagship pricing trends

Xiaomi 17 Pro leaks reveal a display on the back and so much more

0

Xiaomi has teased its new flagship series, and it seems they’ve skipped the 16 series entirely, moving straight to the 17 lineup. Xiaomi has not clarified why they skipped the 16 series, but this new series and especially the Xiaomi 17 Pro come with interesting changes in design, performance upgrades, and so on. Now, let’s jump into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Xiaomi 17 Pro, including its specifications, design, and expected availability.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Overview

Display and Design

Xiaomi 17 pro Design and Display

This upcoming 17 Pro appears to take cues from the Mi 11 Ultra (which was a massive success), with a focus on the rear design. The most noticeable addition is a secondary display which is integrated into the camera island. Unlike the Mi 11 Ultra, this screen seems larger and could support full-screen apps, although it’s unclear if this will be standard across all 17 Pro units or reserved for a Pro Max variant. The main display is expected to be a 120Hz LTPO panel with narrow 1.1mm bezels.

The back also packs three flagship cameras, with two in the main island and a third tucked under the camera module beside the flash. Xiaomi continues to partner with Leica optics, which follows the legacy of its previous flagship models.

Performance and Chipset

At the heart of the 17 Pro is the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the latest and greatest. Its predecessor, the 16 Pro, already pushed performance ceilings with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, so i think that this new chip may certainly bring improvements beyond raw power (which can be said to be peaked two years back) with possibly efficiency, AI features, or camera processing, connectivity, etc? But the exact benefits remain to be seen.

Battery

The 17 series reportedly ranges from 7,000mAh on the regular 17 to 7,500mAh on the 17 Pro Max. From this, we can infer the 17 Pro will likely sit somewhere in the middle, slightly lower than the Pro Max due to its more compact size. The 16 Pro previously featured a 6,100mAh battery, and looking into recent trends, almost every other smartphone, except non-Chinese ones, featured 7000 and above batteries; hence, this doesn’t feel surprising to say the least.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Specifications (Rumored)

  • Display: 120Hz LTPO OLED panel, narrow 1.1mm bezel
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Memory: 12GB/16GB
  • Software & UI: HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16
  • Rear Camera: Triple 50MP cameras with Leica optics
  • Front Camera: 32MP
  • Security: In-display Ultrasonic fingerprint
  • Connectivity: 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc.
  • Battery: 7,000 mAh

Xiaomi 17 Pro Rumors and Availability

There’s no official launch date yet, but considering the 15 Pro launched at the end of October last year, it’s likely the 17 series will arrive around the same time this year.

iOS 26 with “Liquid Glass” design is now rolling out for everyone*

0

Apple first unveiled the iOS 26 update back in June at its WWDC event. iOS 26 marks one of the most transformative updates in iPhone history. Skipping from iOS 18 to 26 to align naming across platforms, this update introduces the visually striking “Liquid Glass” design language, deeper integration of Apple Intelligence (AI), and a host of new features. And now, Apple has rolled out the stable public release of iOS 26 update to various iPhones as well.

iOS 26 features overview

Liquid Glass design

The standout feature in iOS 26 is definitely the new “Liquid Glass” interface. This design brings a fresh, fluid aesthetic to the iPhone experience, replacing static elements with dynamic, translucent layers that respond to movement and touch.

Inspired by visionOS, this new visual language gives the interface a glass-like sheen, making it feel more immersive and alive. From floating widgets and rounded tab bars to animated transitions that mimic liquid motion, Liquid Glass adds depth and personality while maintaining the familiar usability of iOS.

Liquid Glass design on iOS 26

From icons and widgets to tab bars and the keyboard, everything now exhibits a floating, glassy aesthetic. Even system animations have been reimagined, such as the water droplet effect in the Clock app’s tab bar or translucent layers over wallpaper and text.

Moreover, the Lock Screen adapts dynamically to images and notifications, while wallpapers gain 3D-like spatial scenes, reminiscent of Nintendo 3DS effects. Customization options extend to app icons and widgets, now offering a clearer and more expressive look.

Apple Intelligence comes alive on iOS 26

iOS 26 deepens the integration of Apple Intelligence, ensuring that tasks are not only smarter but handled on-device for better privacy. From live translation in calls and messages to on-screen visual understanding, AI now plays a central role in user experience.

Apple Intelligence

This update also brings a new “Ask” tool and image recognition, which lets users take a screenshot and highlight elements for more information, shopping, or contextual actions. We have already seen something similar in Google’s “Circle to Search” on Android devices.

A newly added feature on iOS 26 called “Smart Shortcuts” now incorporates Apple Intelligence, unlocking context-aware actions, auto-suggested responses, and even personalized order tracking from email content. Developers can also tap into Apple’s foundation models using a new API framework.

Communication, reimagined

The redesigned Phone app now includes tabs for Favorites, Recents, and Voicemail, all in one scrollable view. “Call Screening” only rings your device after unknown callers state their name and purpose. Whereas “Hold Assist” will alert users when a customer service rep is available after long waits. Once again, these are something we’ve seen on Pixel phones for a while now.

Communication Reimagined on iOS 26

The Messages app adds support for AI-generated chat backgrounds, polling in group chats, and Apple Cash transfers on iOS 26. Screening tools now silence and sort messages from unknown senders into a dedicated folder until reviewed.

FaceTime introduces video messages and personalized contact posters. Integrated Live Translation offers real-time audio and caption translation during calls.

Redesigned core apps

The Camera app gets a simplified Liquid Glass interface with easier access to quality settings. In Photos, 2D images can now be converted into immersive 3D Spatial Scenes. Tabs for Library and Collections make organization simpler.

Safari now features a floating, adaptable tab bar that shrinks during browsing and expands when needed, offering a distraction-free experience.

Apple Music gets lyrics translation, pronunciation tools, 3D album artwork on the Lock Screen, and AutoMix for seamless transitions. Music Pins lets users bookmark favorite songs, artists, or genres.

Enhanced experiences with iOS 26

iOS 26 transforms the in-car experience with a Liquid Glass-inspired CarPlay design. Widgets, Live Activities, and Tapbacks come to the dashboard. CarPlay Ultra allows for total system integration across vehicle screens, including climate and audio controls.

Enhanced experiences with iOS 26

Apple Maps now learns user behavior for better commuting suggestions and introduces Visited Places to revisit previous locations. The Wallet app features a more intuitive boarding pass UI and supports Find My trackers and flight status sharing.

A new playground for gamers

iOS 26 introduces a dedicated Games app, consolidating the gaming experience under one roof. Users can discover new titles, track updates, and join multiplayer sessions via tabs like Home, Arcade, Play Together, and Library.

Which iPhones will get the iOS 26 update?

While the developer beta of iOS 26 was available in June 2025, followed by the first public beta in July, Apple has started rolling out its stable release on September 15. The complete list of iPhones that will get the iOS 26 update is as follows:

Acer Aspire Spin 14 (2025) with Intel’s “Meteor Lake” CPU is launching soon in Nepal

The new generation of the Acer Aspire Spin 14 with Intel Core Ultra Series 1 “Meteor Lake” processor is finally making its way to Nepal. And the good thing about this 2-in-1 laptop is that Acer has provided a stylus for free, which you can securely store in the laptop itself. So without any delay, let’s dive into the specifications, features, and expected price in Nepal for Acer Aspire Spin 14 2025.

Acer Aspire Spin 14 2025 Overview:

Design and display

Starting with design, the new Spin 14 is much like its predecessor. With a minimal look and thin bezels upfront. And since this is a 2-in-1 laptop, you can also fold it to use it like a tablet. The Aspire Spin 14 is pretty lightweight at just 1.5 kg, it’s available in a single “Steel Gray” finish, and you also get a standard backlit keyboard here.

Acer Aspire Spin 14 2025 - Design

Acer hasn’t wowed us with the display on this thing. We’re looking at a standard 14-inch IPS touchscreen with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The company also mentions that this screen supports “BlueLightShield” technology to minimize the effect of blue light emission on your eyes.

It supports stylus input as well, and as I mentioned in the beginning, you get a stylus for free. The Acer Active Stylus has 4,096 pressure levels, support for tilt detection, and it sits inside the dedicated stylus slot on the right side of the laptop.

Performance and Memory

Getting to performance, the Acer Aspire Spin 14 2025 is powered by Intel’s 14th Gen “Meteor Lake” CPU. You have two options in total, which include:

Cores / Threads Base TDP Max boost frequency
Core Ultra 5 125U 12 / 14 15W 4.3 GHz
Core Ultra 7 155U 12 / 14 15W 4.8 GHz

Both of them are pretty decent budget processors that should be fine for light everyday work, but don’t expect much in terms of performance from this laptop. And since it doesn’t have a discrete GPU, all graphics-related tasks are handled by the integrated Intel Graphics. Acer has paired it with either 8/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.

Battery and rest

The Acer Aspire Spin 14 features a modest 50Wh battery, which is pretty average for a 14-inch thin and light laptop. But according to Acer’s internal testing based on the MobileMark 2025 benchmark, this 2-in-1 laptop has a maximum battery backup of up to 9 hours. Moreover, it supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.

Acer Aspire Spin 14 (2025) Ports

For a 14-inch laptop, the Aspire Spin 14 brings a pretty impressive port selection. It has two Thunderbolt 4, one HDMI 2.1, and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connection on the left, followed by another USB-A port and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the right. Other than this, we also get a fingerprint scanner for easy login and an FHD front camera for video calls.

Lenovo Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition unveiled with up to Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 5080

0

Lenovo has just unveiled the Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition, a gaming laptop that’s worthy of a workstation, featuring the latest RTX 5080 and Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processors. This beast also comes in a much cheaper price than other variants, consisting of RTX 5070 Ti. Now, let’s jump in this article, where i will discuss everything about the latest Lenovo Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Lenovo Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition Overview

Display and Build

Lenovo Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition Design and Display

The laptop uses a 16-inch OLED screen at 2560 × 1600 resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. It’s bright too, peaking at 1100 nits, and carries Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. Both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium are here, which means frame syncing across Nvidia and AMD cards is available as well.

Performance and Cooling

Inside is AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D with 16 cores and 32 threads, paired with Nvidia’s RTX 5080 GPU running at 175W. Together, that’s around 275W of sustained draw—huge numbers for a laptop. In benchmarks, the processor alone outperforms Intel’s Core Ultra 9 285HX by around 16% in average FPS in modern AAA titles, and the extra cache helps maintain higher minimum frame rates in CPU-heavy games. Lenovo claims its Qiankun Ultra cooling system with Falcon 2.0 fans and a custom vapor chamber can handle it. History shows earlier Legion models were already pushing thermals hard, so this generation doubling down makes sense.

Memory, Storage, and Connectivity

You’re getting 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD out of the box, plus an extra M.2 slot if you want to upgrade later. Ports cover Wi-Fi 7,  Ethernet, USB-C with DisplayPort 2.1 and 140W charging, HDMI 2.1, and the usual USB-A and 3.5mm jack as well.

Keyboard and AI Features

The TrueStrike 2.0 keyboard brings per-key RGB lighting and a larger touchpad. Audio is handled by a four-speaker Nahimic setup. On the software side, Lenovo is layering in AI tools like Legion AI Tuning, DeepSeek R1 integration, and the Tianxi assistant. Some of these are clearly aimed for the chinese market. For example, the DeepSeek in particular has been trending on local forums, so i guess it’s worth noting this model may stay limited to that market.

Lenovo Legion R9000P 2025 Ultimate Edition Specifications

  • Display: 16-inch OLED, 2560 × 1600, 240Hz, 0.08ms, 1100 nits, Dolby Vision, HDR True Black 1000, G-Sync, FreeSync
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, 16 cores, 32 threads, up to 5.4GHz, 144MB cache, 125W sustained
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080, 175W, 16GB GDDR7, 256-bit, Blackwell architecture
  • Cooling: Qiankun Ultra (Falcon 2.0 fans, vapor chamber, dedicated memory/SSD cooling)
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5-5600
  • Storage: 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, dual M.2 slots
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7 (320MHz), 2.5GbE LAN, USB-C (DP 2.1, 140W charging), HDMI 2.1, USB-A, 3.5mm jack
  • Keyboard & Audio: TrueStrike 2.0 with per-key RGB, large touchpad, 4-speaker Nahimic system

Lenovo Legion R9000P 2025 Price in Nepal and Availability

Now, will this come to Nepal? That’s doubtful. Previous Legion R9000P variants were often China-only, and warranty support outside China was murky. Even if imported, high-end gaming laptops like the R9000P Ultimate would probably end up even pricier. For most Nepali buyers, the grey market is the only way this laptop shows up. Anyway, the laptop starts at CNY 21,999 in China

Honor Play10T launched with 7000mAh battery and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3

0

Honor just dropped the Play10T in China. Recently, the company launched the Play 10 4G, which itself followed the Play 10c. But this new phone improves on that line with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset and a massive battery. Now, let’s jump in this article, where i will discuss everything about the latest Play10T, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Honor Play10T Overview

Display and Design

honor play 10t Display and Design

Starting off the display, the Play10T has a 6.77-inch LCD display with 2412×1080 resolution. For 2025, seeing a mid-range LCD smartphone feels a bit tired now as they could they not have perhaps afforded an AMOLED display? Anyway, the panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 700 nits of brightness. Honor has added aluminosilicate glass for protection and an “eye comfort mode.” The phone measures 8.24mm thick, weighs 207 grams, and comes in black, white, and blue.

Performance and Software

At its core, the Play10T packs the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. This chipset isn’t exactly new, it launched back on June 8, 2024, and is essentially a slightly clocked version of the Snapdragon 695. You’ll find it in devices like the Moto G85 and Redmi 15 5G. On Antutu v10, it scores around 470,000. Which means, the chipset is not performance heavy, but you can still game Pubg and genshing impact at low settings.

Camera and Battery

The rear camera has a 50MP sensor, while the front has a 5MP unit. The real highlight is the 7000mAh battery. It supports 45W wired charging and reverse charging, which means it lets you top up other devices. And honestly, a battery this big is a warm welcome for anyone tired of hunting for outlets during the day, especially in budget smartphones.

Connectivity and Extras

Other features include IP65 dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and single-frequency GPS. Dual speakers are onboard, and Honor claims up to 400% volume. The phone has earned SGS’s five-star durability certification.

Honor Play10T Specifications

  • Design, build: 8.24mm thick, 207 grams, aluminosilicate glass, colors black/white/blue

Oppo A6i launched in China with rugged design and 6000mAh battery

0

Oppo just launched the A6i in China as part of its entry-level lineup, alongside the A6 Pro (which we have covered here). The phone focuses on durability, a large battery, and 5G support. Now, let’s jump in this article, where i will discuss everything about the latest Oppo A6i, including its price, specifications, and practical relevance.

Oppo A6i Overview

Design and Build

Oppo A6i Display and Design

The A6i uses what Oppo calls a Diamond Shield Frame, made from strengthened glass and high-strength aluminum alloy. But whether the name is just marketing or genuinely adds extra toughness remains to be seen, but it’s good to see companies at least trying to highlight durability, when budget phone appears so fragile these days. And at 7.99mm thick and 194 grams, the phone is reasonably slim and light for a “rugged” entry-level device. IP65 dust and water resistance and SGS 5-star drop certification give it an extra layer of protection as well.

Display

You’re getting a 6.56-inch LCD with 1604 × 720 resolution. The 120Hz refresh rate is nice, but that’s becoming standard even in budget phones. I wish entry-level devices came with AMOLED panels too that would really make the display pop. Oppo claims the screen is touch-responsive even with wet, oily, or gloved fingers. If it actually works as well as they claim, that’s a welcome addition as well.

Performance

At its heart, the A6i runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. This chip is now on a spree, showing up in almost every budget 5G phone. I was literally talking about this in yesterday’s Realme P3 Lite 5G article and now the market is flooded with the same chipset. Although this chipset does handle daily tasks fairly well, light gaming is also fine, but midrange performance for demanding apps is limited here. Honestly I really hope phone makers start putting midrange chips like the 7 Gen 3 in budget phones soon, rather than recycling a 3–4-year-old chipset again and again.

Camera

The rear packs a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Daylight shots should be decent, but low-light performance will likely struggle. And even though Oppo has provided the 2MP depth sensor, which in all honesty is practically useless, something no better than a dummy camera inserted for marketing checkbox. The front 8MP selfie camera is fine for social media and video calls. Oppo includes AI features like portrait mode, dual-view video, object removal, and pixel-level zoom upscaling as well.

Battery and Charging

The A6i comes with a 6000mAh battery using graphite cells and “electrolyte recovery” tech. 45W SuperVOOC fast charging tops it up quickly. According to oppo, it charges 50% in 37 minutes, even at –20°C. Oppo claims up to 22 hours of calls or 19 hours of video playback, and the battery is rated for five years of use.

Software and Features

Running ColorOS 15, the A6i has AI functions like handwriting recognition, English tutoring, and math correction. Family and safety tools,  health tracking via wearables, regional alerts, and fraud detection are also really nice touche by the Chinese company.

Vivo Y31 5G launched in India with 6,500mAh battery and IP68/69 rating

0

Vivo just dropped the Y31 5G in India. This budget-friendly device surprisingly features a flagship-level dust and water resistance and quite a large battery. Now, let’s jump in this  where i article will discuss everything about the latest Vivo Y31, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Vivo Y31 5G Overview

Display and Design

Vivo Y31 5G Design and Display

The Y31 has a tall 6.68-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The phone measures at 8.39mm, which i wouldn’t call a slim device in any meaningful sense of the word, only because most smartphones these days now measure less than 8mm, and almost at 8.8mm, you would also get the likes of Magic V5 and Z Fold 7. But considering the battery and for the price it comes, i think it’s commendable. Similarly, you get a simple, clean design with two color options: Diamond Green and Rose Red.

Performance

Under the hood, the Y31 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, first launched in June 2023. The last device we covered with this chip was the X7c 5G, and Vivo isn’t new to it either — the Y300 and Y37 Pro in India used this SoC about a year ago. The 4 or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage handle things just okay. Heavy AAA games might need much lower settings, but for most users, performance is decent and reliable.

Camera

On the rear, there’s a 50MP AI dual camera setup that should takes decent daylight shots. The 8MP front camera works well for selfies and video calls. Vivo adds AI-powered features like AI Erase and Circle to Search, the latter is by far the best AI feature i have come across.

Battery and Durability

The 6,500mAh battery is big, but many budget phones today push 6,500 to 7,500mAh, so the number alone isn’t a head-turner. The real gem is the IP68 and IP69 rating  full dust and water resistance at this price is rare. . The 44W wired fast charging is a welcoming factor for this device. The Y31 supports Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band WiFi, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

Acer launched the Swift Lite 16 AI 2025 a few months back. And we can now confirm that this thin-and-light 16-inch laptop is launching soon in Nepal as well. With both Intel and AMD CPU options. So without any delay, let’s dive into the specifications, features, and expected price in Nepal of the Acer Swift Lite 16 AI 2025.

As for the display, the Swift Lite 16 AI has a massive 16-inch IPS LCD panel with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a basic 60Hz refresh rate.

Performance and memory

And like I said in the beginning, the Acer Swift Lite 16 AI will be available with both Intel and AMD CPU choices.

On Intel’s side, you have 14th Gen “Meteor Lake” Core Ultra 7 155U. It’s a 12-core / 14-thread CPU with a 15W base TDP and a max boost clock of 4.8 GHz. Whereas with AMD, there is the Ryzen 7 260 “Hawk Point” CPU with 8 cores, 16 threads, a 35 – 54W TDP, and a 5.1 GHz boost clock.

Both these CPUs also include an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for handling AI tasks. This laptop is paired with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage.

The Acer Swift Lite 16 AI features a 70Wh battery, which is a pretty standard for this size of a laptop. Acer also claims it can last up to 10 hours in regular usage. Moreover, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 for wireless connectivity.

For a 16-inch laptop, the Swift Lite 16 AI’s port selection is a little disappointing. Because all we get here are two USB-C, one USB-A, one HDMI, and one headphone jack. Other than this, there is also a 2MP front camera with a white backlit keyboard here.
