Nothing Phone 2Because of popular demand, the Phone (2) shifted gears into premium-midrange territory with a flagship-grade chipset. There came more versatile cameras, a better screen, and longer battery life, but the core experience was still pretty similar. As such, the Phone (2) felt like a solid semi-flagship but nothing too far off from its predecessor.

Nothing Phone 2a

Finally, there’s the Phone (2a) meant for a wider audience at a more accessible price point. On paper, this guy looks VERY compelling getting almost everything right for the price.

Then you are greeted with spacious 6.7 inches of screen estate with relatively thin bezels and a punch-hole. That’s all powered by a custom-tuned Dimensity 7200 (Pro) chipset based on a 4nm architecture alongside plenty of memory (up to 12/256GB) and reliable software experience (Nothing OS 2.5). The cameras are decent too, but could use some further optimization. All in all, a pretty solid deal for around NPR 50,000.

CMF Phone 2 Pro is up for pre-booking in Nepal with free Buds 2a TWS

CMF phones have become a popular choice in Nepal in the budget price segment. Today, the company officially launched its new model under the name the CMF Phone 2 Pro in Nepal. It’s also now open for pre-booking in Nepal. In this article, let’s take a closer look at the CMF Phone 2 Pro, including its specifications and the official price in Nepal.

CMF Phone 2 Pro Overview

Design and Display

CMF has designed the CMF Phone 2 Pro as the slimmest phone yet, with a profile of just 7.8 mm and a lightweight feel at 185 grams. On the back, it carries CMF’s trademark stainless steel screws. The design doesn’t break any new ground and looks similar to the CMF Phone 1. It is available in White, Black, Orange, and Light Green.

CMF Phone 2 Pro Design

Now, up front, the phone has a large 6.77’’ FHD+ flexible AMOLED display. It supports a jaw-dropping 1.07 billion colors, which is nearly a billion more than the CMF Phone 1. This makes the visuals look more lifelike, which I think really boosts the entertainment experience. The screen also gets a massive 3000 nits of peak brightness (50% brighter than their first phone).

Alongside this, the display supports a super-responsive 1000 Hz touch sampling rate and a smooth 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. For protection, the phone carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and for security, you get an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. On the durability side, it’s passed a 20-drop test from 1.5mm height at 10 angles.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the CMF Phone 2 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chip, with an 8-core CPU reaching speeds of 2.5GHz. Compared to the CMF Phone 1, this chip gives a 10% faster CPU and 5% better GPU performance. That boost should definitely help in daily tasks and gaming.

The Pro model packs up to 8GB of RAM with a RAM booster for smoother multitasking. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, and the best part is you can expand it up to 2TB, which is rare at this price. Running on Nothing OS 3.2 built over Android 15, the phone promises 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.

MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro

Coming to the battery, the device houses a big 5000 mAh battery. It can last for two full days on a single charge, more specifically 47 hours of voice calls, 22 hours of YouTube, or 10 hours of BGMI gaming. Even better, the battery retains more than 90% of its health after 1200 charging cycles. The 33W fast charging lets you power the phone for an entire day in just 20 minutes. You also get a 5W reverse wired charging option.

Camera and More

As for the camera, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to include a 50MP main lens, a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. On the front, there’s a 16MP camera for selfies. It supports 4K video recording at 30 fps, which is great for content creators or video calls. Plus, there’s a feature called TrueLens Engine 3.0 that enhances lighting and shadows by 89%. That should make your photos look more professional without needing any edits.

CMF Phone 2 Pro Camera

On the connectivity side, the phone also has 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 for a fast and stable experience. Audio-wise, it packs two high-definition microphones and a 150% ultra-volume speaker, which honestly sounds like a good upgrade for media consumption or calls.

DJI Drones Price in Nepal: Conclusion

So, these are all the DJI drones that you can get in Nepal right now. If there are any new drones or changes in prices of the existing ones, we’ll make sure to keep this list up-to-date. You can consider one of the options above according to your budget and requirements.

In most cases, the price of DJI drones has been set quite competitively in Nepal. But before making any purchase decision, make sure that you have a drone flying permit.

Rules and regulations in Nepal for the use of drones:

It’s illegal to operate a drone in Nepal. But with official papers and permits, one can easily fly a drone.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has set some rules regarding the use of drones. Operators must ensure that they follow the following rules/ laws issued by the Nepal Government:

  • You must first apply for and receive permission from the Civil Aviation Authority before flying a drone.
  • You cannot fly your drone over people or crowds of people.
  • Respect others’ privacy when flying your drone, there have been reports of locals not appreciating drones flying near them.
  • You must fly during daylight hours and only fly in good weather conditions.
  • Do not fly your drone over military installations, power plants, or other areas that could cause concern among the local authorities.
  • Do not fly your drone near airports or in any area where aircraft are operating.

Process of obtaining a permit to fly a drone in Nepal:

  • First of all, you should take the permission letter from the municipality of the place where you want to fly a drone.
  • Second, you need to take a recommendation letter from the CDO office. The CDO office will give the recommendation letter only after getting the permission letter from the municipality.
  • Then the police headquarters of the places that you want to fly your drone over will give you a security clearance letter or even provide security in those areas, if necessary.
  • Then with the security clearance letter and all the documents listed above, you should submit the documents to the CAAN.

You do not need to pay money to get a permit to fly drones. The above-mentioned process will take 3 days in total.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i Gen 9 (2024) now available in Nepal with Core Ultra and OLED screens!

Lenovo announced new iterations for almost all of its laptops back in January at CES 2024. One of those SKUs was the Gen 9 of the IdeaPad Slim 5 series, which is now available in Nepal as well. In this article, let’s take a deeper dive into the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i Gen 9 (2024), its specifications, official price in Nepal, and availability details.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i Gen 9 (2024) Overview:

Design and Display

Starting off with how the IdeaPad looks and feels, you’ll not find many changes from the predecessor. Both 14-inch and 16-inch variants look very much like their Gen 8 counterparts, but while the chassis remains untouched for the former, the new IdeaPad Slim 5i 16 is a bit heavier now. Starting at 1.89 kg. There’s also a 15-inch model in the mix, but since it’s not available here yet, we’ll save that for later.

Anyways, the variants that have landed in Nepal feature a metal build with an aluminum top/bottom, but plastic-built IdeaPads are also available in other markets. Colors-wise, you get your standard Cloud Grey and Abyss Blue options.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i 2024 design

Getting into the display, you can purchase the IdeaPad Slim 5i Gen 9 with IPS and OLED screens. The 14-inch screen offers WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, while the 16-inch offers up to a 2K one. Brightness, color coverage, and coating depend on the configuration of the panel. These can range from a 300-nit matte display with 45% NTSC colors to a 400-nit glossy with full DCI-P3 gamut coverage.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood of the brand new IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultrabooks, you are getting brand new Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors based on the newer Intel 4nm process. Not only are these chips faster than last-generation “Raptor Lake” processors, but they are also more efficient and feature much more powerful integrated graphics.

Intel Arc graphics in these Meteor Lake SoCs are said to be up to twice as powerful as their predecessors. A perfect combo of power and efficiency, ideal for ultrabooks like the IdeaPad Slim 5.

Intel core ultraIn terms of memory, you get up to 32GB of fast RAM, but unfortunately, it’s soldered to the motherboard. Similar is the story with storage, where you get up to 1TB of Gen 4 SSD but no extra slots in the IdeaPad Slim 5i (2024).

Battery and Connectivity

Moving on to the endurance side of things, there are three different battery configurations in total: an underwhelming 47 Wh one, a respectable 57 Wh one, and a jumbo 76 Wh cell. All IdeaPad Slim 5i models currently available in Nepal have a 57Wh battery regardless of the size. The 14-inch model supports up to 65W charging, while the 16-inch can accept 100W.

Despite the larger chassis, you don’t get any extra ports on the IdeaPad Slim 5i 16. Both models share two USB-C, two USB-A, an HDMI, a micro SD card reader, and a 3.5mm jack.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro launched in Nepal with up to 6K res recording

DJI has officially unveiled the Mavic 4 Pro, marking a significant leap forward in drone technology. Now available in Nepal, this flagship model introduces exciting features, including a triple-camera system, enhanced flight performance, and advanced obstacle sensing capabilities. Let’s delve into the specifics of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, including its official price in Nepal.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Overview:

Triple Camera Setup

The highlight of the Mavic 4 Pro is its upgraded triple-camera array. Unlike the Mavic 3 Pro, which offered a 20MP Hasselblad-tuned sensor, the Mavic 4 Pro dramatically improves on this with a new 100MP 4/3-inch CMOS Hasselblad camera. This main shooter supports 6K video at 60fps and offers rich dynamic range.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Camera

Then comes the medium telephoto lens. It packs a 48MP 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a 70mm equivalent focal length — perfect for that cinematic mid-range compression and subject separation. It offers 3x optical zoom, and like the main camera, supports advanced video capture capabilities including D-Log and HLG color profiles.

Likewise, the third is the upgraded telephoto camera, now featuring a 50MP 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor with a whopping 166mm focal length equivalent. This provides up to 7x optical zoom, a significant step up from the Mavic 3 Pro’s 166mm 12MP tele lens.

Codec Support and Others

The Mavic 4 Pro enhances professional workflows with broader codec support and smarter built-in AI tools, such as improved subject tracking, automatic editing, and intelligent shot composition. These upgrades build on what the Mavic 3 Pro Cine offered with Apple ProRes, making content creation and post-processing faster and more efficient, especially when used alongside DJI’s upgraded LightCut editing app.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Drone

Another highlighting feature here is its “Infinity Gimbal,” which allows for 360-degree rotation. This innovation provides creators with unprecedented freedom to capture dynamic angles and cinematic shots, surpassing the traditional 3-axis gimbal limitations found in the Mavic 3 Pro.

Battery

Equipped with a 6654mAh battery, the Mavic 4 Pro offers a maximum flight time of approximately 51 minutes, a notable increase from the Mavic 3 Pro’s 43-minute flight time. This extended duration allows for longer missions and more creative opportunities during each flight.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Specifications:

  • Dimensions:

    • Folded: 231.1×98×95.4 mm
    • Unfolded: 347.5×290.8×107.7 mm
