Alongside the regular iQOO Z8, the iQOO Z8x is now official in China as well. Both phones look quite similar design-wise, except for a few subtle changes. Like, the headphone jack of Z8x is placed at the bottom while in Z8, it is placed at the top. In this article, we’ll go through the specs, price in Nepal, and availability of the iQOO Z8x.

Design, Display, and Performance

The new iQOO Z8x boasts a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD screen with HDR10+ support. Like the Z8, the Z8x also comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display on both iQOO Z8 and Z8x is exactly the same actually.

But in terms of performance, the iQOO Z8x brings a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip instead, which is not as powerful as the Dimensity 8200 on the iQOO Z8. The phone runs on OriginOS 3.0 on top of Android 13.

Just recently, Jabra introduced two new earbuds to the market: the Jabra Elite 8 and the Jabra Elite 10. According to the company, the Elite 10 represents their most advanced earbuds, with support for Dolby Atmos with Dolby Head Tracking. In this article, we will be discussing the features, specifications, availability, and price in Nepal of the Jabra Elite 10 in.

Jabra Elite 10 Overview:

Design

The Elite 10 supposedly combines the “comfortable fit” of the Elite 7 Pro with the “all-day comfort” of the Elite 85t, with each earbud weighing 5.7g. Jabra introduces the ‘ComfortFit’ design, featuring a semi-open design to reduce ear pressure and occlusion. They come with various-sized (extra large, large, medium, small) silicone EarGels for added comfort. The earbuds do not support high-fidelity Bluetooth audio codecs like LDAC, LHDC, or aptX HD, limiting compatibility to AAC and SBC codecs only. However, they do feature the latest Bluetooth 5.3 standard and Bluetooth Multipoint for versatile connectivity.

Battery life

The earbuds provide 6 hours of music playback with ANC on, extending to 27 hours with the case. With ANC off, the total music playback time increases to 36 hours.

Charging the earbuds and case takes approximately 3 hours and they do support wireless (Qi) charging. A quick 5-minute charge offers up to 1 hour of use, and the earbuds can remain in standby mode for up to 345 days. There is also a sleep mode that increases your battery life even further.

iQOO, the Vivo subbrand, has just launched a couple of new midrange phones. Roughly five months after the launch of the iQOO Z7, the company has announced the iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x in the Chinese market. So in this article, we’ll go through the specs, expected price in Nepal, and availability of the iQOO Z8.

iQOO Z8 Overview:

Display and Performance

The new iQOO Z8 boasts a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, the iQOO Z8 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, which is a 4nm chipset. It also features a VC (Vapor Chamber) liquid cooling system to dissipate heat. This has been paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Motorola has launched the Moto G84 5G after skipping the G83 last year. The smartphone is now official in India with a Snapdragon 695 5G SoC and a 10-bit pOLED panel. Now, let’s dive into the specs, features, and expected price of Moto G84 5G in Nepal.

Moto G84 5G Overview:

Design and Display

The Moto G84 5G is available in Marshmallow Blue, Midnight Blue, and Viva Magenta color options. The former comes with a PMMA back while the latter two get a vegan leather back. Furthermore, it carries a boxy form factor with flat frames and secures an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes.

Right after launching the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, the company has revealed the vanilla Mate 60 as well. Except for a few differences here and there, it is quite similar to its “Pro” sibling. In this article, we will be taking an in-depth look at the new Huawei Mate 60, including its features, specifications, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

Huawei Mate 60 Overview:

Design and Display

The design and display of the Huawei Mate 60 series show very few differences between the Pro and non-Pro versions. And the Mate 60 uses the same second-gen Kunlun glass for protection. This IP68-rated phone has a round camera island at the back and is available in black, white, green, and purple color options.

Performance and Memory

Up front, it’s got the same 13MP sensor but misses out on that 3D depth camera.

Huawei Mate 60 has a 4,750 mAh battery and supports 66W wired charging on top of 50W wireless charging. Additionally, it can do reverse wireless charging at 5W as well, allowing it to charge other devices wirelessly using the phone’s battery.

Garmin, a veteran in the fitness smartwatch space, recently unveiled two of its newest additions to the “Venu” series. The Venu 3 and 3S smartwatches offer AMOLED displays, lots of health monitoring features, and reliable battery life. Wheelchair mode

Let’s start off fresh with the new “Wheelchair” mode. Garmin Venu 3 and 3S optimize the recorded data, counting pushes instead of steps and sending weight shift alerts. Now, you can make and take calls right from the watch (when paired with a compatible smartphone) and use the smartphone’s voice assistant to respond to text messages and more. Those with an Android phone can also view photo messages and respond to texts using the on-watch keyboard.
In-depth sleep tracking: In addition to the basic sleep monitoring and sleep score on Venu 2, Garmin Venu 3 and 3S now offer a sleep coach that provides personalized coaching for how much sleep is recommended and keeps track of different sleep stages, naps, and other key metrics such as SpO2 and HRV status.

Battery life and Extras

Despite all the new features, battery life hasn’t taken a hit on these smartwatches. In smartwatch mode, the Venu 3 will last you up to 14 days (compared to 11 days on the Venu 2), while the smaller Venu 3S promises up to 10 days of endurance.

The new Fairphone 5 promises up to 8 years of software updates

While many smartphone makers prioritize providing the latest specs and everything, they often overlook the issue of e-waste. The recently launched Fairphone 5, however, takes this into consideration. To the next level, might I add. The phone is reportedly made from 70% recycled materials, and interestingly, the packaging box can even be used to send back your old phone to the company for recycling. In this article, we will be discussing in detail the information about Fairphone 5, along with its features, specifications, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

Fairphone 5 Overview:

Design and Display

As aforementioned, the phone’s body is made with 70% recycled materials. It comes with 3 choices in color options: Matte Black, Sky Blue, and Transparent. Also, the phone offers IP55 dust and splash resistance. Additionally, it’s designed to withstand drops from a height of 1.8m/6ft.

Up front, the Fairphone 5 features a 6.46-inch 90Hz FHD+ OLED display, which is slightly larger than its predecessor (6.3-inch). On that note, the phone is slated to receive software updates until 2031, which is 8 years from now. It boots with Android 13 out of the box and is supposed to get 5 more OS updates too.

As for the raw performance itself, the QCM6490 is similar to the familiar Snapdragon 778G, which is a mid-range chip from back in 2021. Furthermore, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, expandable using a microSD slot that supports cards up to 2TB. The phone also supports dual SIM functionality, with one physical SIM slot and an additional eSIM option.

Camera

Moving on. Fairphone 5’s back has a dual camera system consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX800 main sensor (1/1.56″) with OIS and EIS. The secondary camera is a 50MP IMX858 ultra-wide sensor (1/2.51″) with autofocus, while there’s also a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor.

For selfies, the front has a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor (1/2.76″) with EIS, which is capable of 4K video recording at 30fps.

Battery and Connectivity

The Fairphone 5 brings a 4,200mAh battery, an increase from its predecessor’s 3,905mAh. And it also supports 30W fast charging, which can get you 50% of the juice in just 20 minutes. The phone also offers an easy battery replacement in cases of necessity. However, there is no wireless charging option here.

Connectivity options on the Fairphone 5 consist of WiFi 6E (6GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. Charging and data transfers are managed by the USB-C 3.0 port, although it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. You do get a set of stereo speakers though.

Repairability

According to the company, the phone is easily repairable using only a Phillips 00-head screwdriver. Users can change Fairphone 5’s ten components without visiting a repair shop. Instead, they can purchase the replaceable modules from Fairphone and partners which include an OLED display, front and back cameras, USB ports, battery, and more. Also, the company has pledged 5 years of warranty for the Fairphone 5.
