Honor has announced the launch of the first device in its latest “Power” series, and it’s got a name that lives up to the hype. This smartphone is all about battery life, boasting a gigantic 8000mAh battery. Therefore, in this article, let’s dive into the specs, looks, features, and expected price of the Honor Power in Nepal.

As mentioned before, the standout feature of the Honor Power is its 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Making it one of the largest battery capacities in a mainstream smartphone to date. For context, this is twice the size of the Galaxy S25’s 4,000mAh unit, and it’s also larger than the OnePlus 13’s 6,000mAh battery.

Honor even compares its capacity in watt-hours (29.6 Wh) to the 11″ iPad Air (28.93 Wh), which highlights just how much power this device can store.

According to Honor, the phone can deliver up to 25 hours of video playback, 23.1 hours of short video viewing, 23.5 hours of navigation, and 14 hours of gaming on a full charge. The company also claims the battery is rated for 1,000 charge cycles before it drops to 80% of its original capacity, which theoretically translates to around six years of typical usage.

In terms of charging, the Honor Power supports 66W wired fast charging, with the company claiming a full charge in 68 minutes, though this estimate is based on charging the phone from 3% to 100%. There is also support for 5W reverse wired charging.

Design and Display

As for design, the Honor Power maintains a sleek and elegant look despite its massive battery. With a thickness of 7.98 mm and weighing around 209 grams, it’s actually slimmer and lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra (review), which measures 8.2 mm thick and weighs 218 grams. Also, the glossy back panel, paired with subtle Honor branding at the bottom, gives it a modern and polished appearance.

Honor also says this phone has a “360° full body waterproof” build, although there’s no mention of any sort of IP rating.

As for the display, it features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1 billion colors and a resolution of 1224 x 2700 pixels. It also supports HDR, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,000 nits of local peak brightness (HDR). And like most modern Honor phones, this one also has a high-frequency 3,840 Hz PWM dimming and a shock-absorbing design.

Performance and software

The Honor Power is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4nm) chipset, with 8/12GB RAM and 256/512GB of storage. It also features Honor’s custom “C1+” communication chip designed to maintain stable communication in weak network conditions.

Before heading into the newly launched Acer smartphones, let’s first take a brief insight into its comeback. In case you didn’t know, Acer used to make smartphones under the Liquid Series with Android OS back in the early 2010s. As for the design, the Acer ZX Series boasts a slim design with 8.6mm thickness and a curved frame body. The camera module is circular with sensors arranged on the sides while the middle part gets filled with some text. In terms of display, the Vanilla Super ZX settles for a 6.8-inch LCD pane with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the Pro enjoys a 6.67 AMOLED panel with the same res and refresh rate.

Samsung has abruptly delayed the global rollout of the One UI 7 update just a few days after it was initially released. The update, which started rolling out on April 7 for flagship devices like the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, has now been suspended indefinitely due to a critical bug.

Why did Samsung delay the One UI 7 update?

Because of a critical bug — first highlighted by popular leakster Ice Universe — users who got the fresh One UI 7 update couldn’t unlock their phones. While Samsung has yet to comment officially, online forums in Korea and other websites indicate that this is the cause of the abrupt halt.

The issue was initially believed to be limited to Galaxy S24 units running on the Exynos 2400. And the update has already been removed from Samsung’s OTA servers. However, recent information points to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered variants in regions like the US being affected as well.
