Samsung announces Frame Pro with Mini LED and wireless One Connect!

Samsung has announced a new TV called the ‘Frame Pro’ which looks more like a piece of art on your wall than a traditional television. But as for the specs, there are very few upgrades compared to its predecessor ‘the Frame’. So here, let’s talk about Samsung’s new Frame Pro Television’s specifications and features in depth.

Samsung Frame Pro Overview

Design and Display

The Frame Pro has a unique and stylish design with thin wooden bezels surrounding the screen. The display has received an upgrade. Samsung has swapped out its usual QLED panel for a Mini LED. This shift promises deeper blacks, higher contrast, and better brightness levels.

But here’s the twist: unlike traditional Mini LEDs, where tiny dimming zones are present across the screen, this one places them at the bottom. So, one thing’s for sure, it will definitely look better than its predecessor (the Frame TV) but whether this will outshine other Mini LED TVs remains a question.

Frame Pro design and display

Moreover, the TV features a matte finish, which might give you a more authentic appearance but can sometimes lessen a display’s punch. Samsung has also bumped up the refresh rate from 120Hz to a smooth 144Hz. So for the PC gamers out there, this might be good news actually.

Connectivity and AI

One of the standout features of the Frame Pro is the new wireless One Connect box. No more messy cables running between the TV and the breakout box. Samsung has gone fully wireless, and it works even at distances up to 10 meters with obstacles in the way. Furthermore, the box uses Wi-Fi 7 for a fast and stable connection.

Samsung Frame Pro wireless one connect

On the AI front, the Frame Pro comes with Vision AI, which allows you to generate custom wallpapers based on what’s on screen. There’s also Live Translate, which can translate closed captions on live broadcasts in up to seven languages. Not just that, with Click to Search, you can quickly identify actors, food, or even locations you see onscreen.

Samsung Frame Pro TV Availability

The Samsung Frame Pro will make its debut on the market in 2025. However, this TV has very little chance of reaching Nepal. As for now, there is no official confirmation about this TV price.

LG unveils a bunch of AI powered OLED TVs at CES 2025

0

It’s CES 2025 time, and multiple exciting products are popping up from various brands. And LG stands no exception with its 2025 lineup of OLED TVs, with excellent brightness, and this time, it’s got bestowed with some AI powers. Okay without further ado, let’s head into the specs, features, and price of the LG OLED TVs 2025.

LG OLED TVs 2025 Overview

Four TV Models

LG has unveiled four TV Models: M5, G5, C5 and B5. All these models range from 42 to 97 inches in size. Bidding farewell to the MLA tech, the brightness-boosting panel tech used by LG over two years, the brand has now used four-stack OLED tech, providing superior brightness.

All about Brightness Guys!

M5 and G5

Emphasizing the flagships M5 and G5, these guys will boast the four-stack OLED panels, which make them three times brighter than the B series 55, 65, 77, and 83 inches.

The South Korean company is claiming the LG G5 to be the brightest TV in the market. Although no exact nit values are available, the G5 boasts over 2000 nits with calibrated picture settings as per the percentage figures. Plus for the first time, G5 will also be available in 48 inches but with lower brightness. And the 97-inch version won’t be that bright either. In terms of refresh rate, it boasts up to 165Hz.

LG OLED TVs 2025

Both models pack an Alpha 11 Gen 2 processor. It has the ability to output all sound sources, including basic stereo, in a virtual 11.1.2 surround sound configuration with improved tonal balance and clarity. This data is compared with the virtual 9.1.2 configuration of 2024.

The M5 and G5 TVs bring the Ambient Light Compensation feature of Filmmaker Mode to LG OLEDs for the first time. This enhancement allows Filmmaker Mode’s precision settings to adjust dynamically to shifting lighting conditions, ensuring viewers enjoy a consistent HDR experience regardless of the brightness or darkness of their environment.

B5 and C5

And as the B5 and C5 are cheaper than the above models, you are not getting the 4-stack OLED here. However, LG mentioned that the C5 gets a slight increase in brightness and color performance over last year’s C5 model. You get an upgraded Alphas 9 processor while the available sizes will be 42 to 83 -inches.

Now, getting to the B5 model, it will be available in sizes ranging from 48 to 83 inches, with a 120Hz OLED panel. One can say the B5 is just a C5 with less brightness and a low-powered processor.

New Remote

Moving on, the remote has also gotten a makeover this time. It’s smaller and has got rid of 1-9 buttons with relocated volume rockers. You get a new AI button, dethroning the voice button of past iterations. Meanwhile, the 6 sponsored shortcut keys are here to stay, providing quick access to your favorite streaming platforms.

LG TV New Remote 2025

Some AI…of Course

It’s 2025 and we can’t think of a new device without AI, naturally. Well, LG has gone wild with AI features for their 2025 OLED lineup. The TV now identifies users by their voice, automatically switching to their personalized home screen, as well as tailored picture and sound settings, while offering customized content suggestions. It also features a built-in AI chatbot designed to assist with troubleshooting and adjusting settings simply and intuitively.

Samsung and Google introduces royalty-free audio format, farewell to Dolby Atmos?

0

When it comes to surround sound on TVs and Speakers, Dolby Atmos has been a go-to name in the market but it’s not free. Brands have to pay royalty actually but maybe not anymore. Cause’ Samsung and Google have tied up to bring a new royalty-free solution: Eclipsa Audio. Here in this article, we’ll get through all the details about the Eclipsa Audio.

Eclipsa Audio Overview:

Samsung and Google Tie-up

Samsung and Google both are multi-billion conglomerates, ruling over the tech world. And these giants have tied up for developing the Eclipsa Auidio, a 3D audio technology. Samsung is claiming immersive audio content and seamless playback on Samsung TVs.

Eclipsa Audio

“We are proud to lead the industry with the integration of Eclipsa Audio into our 2025 TV and soundbar lineup,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics. “This innovation opens new possibilities for immersive audio experiences and reinforces our commitment to shaping the future of home entertainment.”

Additionally, the two companies are collaborating with the Telecommunications Technology Association to create a certification program that guarantees consistent quality across devices utilizing the technology.

Open Standard

The key forte of Eclipsa Audio is that it’s open standard. So, hardware makers don’t have to pay licensing fees, unlike Dolby Atmos which requires so. Samsung claims that Eclipsa Audio performs very similar to Atmos through location, intensity, and spatial reflection adjustments in order to produce 3D sound.

Eclipsa Audio: Availability and Devices

As Samsung is the developer alongside Google, it will definitely be the first one to adapt it. The 2025 lineup of Samsung TVs including the Crystal UHD series to the premium flagship Neo QLED 8K TVs will get this newly developed royalty-free audio standard.

Also, creators will be able to upload videos with Eclipsa Audio tracks to YouTube as well. So, 2025 Samsung devices will be capable of taking benefits of the premium spatial audio when available.

Samsung is developing a massive 500MP camera for its next gen flagships!

Samsung is always pushing the boundaries when it comes to camera specs, and it seems they’re ready to take things even further. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is already a powerhouse, but the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra promises to raise the bar even higher. Not just that the company is also developing sensors for the iPhone with rumors of a massive 500MP one. Let’s unpack all this in this short and sweet piece.

Samsung’s new camera sensors

500MP sensor for the S26 Ultra?

When it comes to high-resolution smartphone camera sensors, Samsung is THAT famous guy in the group who everyone wants to be friends with. Continuing this legacy, the South Korean tech giant is developing a 500 MP camera sensor. Yes, you read that right, a jaw-dropping 500 megapixels! So what does that mean? That simply means more pixels….a LOT MORE PIXELS. You’d get super sharp images, and with a sensor like that, even cropped-in shots would look detailed and to the point. It’s unlikely that we’ll see it anytime soon though, but maybe the S26 Ultra in 2026? Who knows!

Samsung galaxy S24 Ultra

New image sensor for iPhone too

But that’s not all. Samsung has got something for its biggest competitor too. Rumors have it that the South Korean giant is experimenting with a three-layer stacked image sensor in a PD-TR-Logic configuration for Apple. This sensor will improve photo quality, especially in low-light conditions, while offering faster image capture and better dynamic range. That means that the next iPhone (hopefully the iPhone 18 Pro Max or Ultra) will be a strong contender against the then Android flagship S26 Ultra.

S24 Ultra vs iPhone 16 pro max comparison

In simpler terms, all it means is that this new sensor in your iPhone will make your photos look crisper, clearer, and more vibrant, even when the lighting isn’t perfect. This new sensor could even outshine the current leader in the space, Sony’s Exmor RS used in full-fledged cameras by the way. What an interesting development!

While Sony has been Apple’s main supplier of CMOS image sensors (CIS), this shift in technology could signal some big changes for the iPhone’s camera performance. And, on top of all this, the iPhone 18 might be the first iPhone to feature a variable aperture on its main camera. With both of these updates, we expect the iPhone 18 series to bring massive improvements in terms of overall photography experience!
