Starting with design, the Vivo G3 has a couple of design upgrades across the board. It now has IP64 dust and splash resistance, and what seems to be “Aura Light” that we’ve seen on Vivo’s “V” series phones. Although here, it doesn’t seem to do anything.

Like most Vivo phones these days, the G3 also received SGS five-star drop-resistant certification, by the way. And in terms of security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint reader here.

But getting to the display, Vivo still went with an IPS panel here with a waterdrop notch, an HD resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate like last year. The only piece of upgrade is that this screen now measures slightly taller at 6.74 inches instead of 6.56 inches.

Performance and memory

At least the Vivo G3 has a couple of performance upgrades. It’s now powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 compared to Dimensity 6020 on G2 5G, which brings 5 – 10% performance uplift.

For memory, we get 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. But there is a catch since only the 256GB variant gets the faster UFS 2.2 storage, while the 128GB variant uses slower eMMC 5.1 storage.

Vivo G3 runs on Android 15-based OriginOS 5, although the company has not disclosed how many updates it will get.

Tecno just launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Spark Go 5G, in India. And it looks suspiciously similar to the leaked renders of the upcoming iPhone 17 Air. So here is everything about the new Tecno Spark Go 5G, including its expected price in Nepal.

As I mentioned above, the Tecno Spark GO 5G has a very iPhone 17 Air-inspired design. With a rectangular camera bar that almost extends to the edge of the phone. It is also IP64 dust/splash resistant, while Tecno sells this phone in three colors: Sky Blue, Turquoise Green, and Ink Black.

Up front, you get a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. It hits a peak brightness of 670 nits, which is notably lower than some recent budget phones like POCO M7 4G (850 nits).

Performance and Battery

When it comes to performance, Tecno Spark Go 5G houses an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 (6nm) chipset. Alongside 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while it runs on Android 15-based HiOS 15.

And this budget phone is packed with a lot of AI features as well. Like Tecno’s very own AI assistant, Ella. The Ella AI assistant supports different Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, and Bangla. They’re positioning this as their “flagship portable speaker” with enough power to fill any outdoor space. The Boombox 4 gets a complete redesign that’s actually 12% lighter than the Boombox 3, which is impressive considering the power bump. Some leaks say it’s getting the same Exynos 2400e from the S24 FE, while others claim a slight bump to the regular Exynos 2400. Either way, you’re looking at 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage options. One thing that caught my attention was the software situation. The S25 FE is rumored to launch with Android 16 and One UI 8, which would make it one of the first Samsung phones to ship with the latest Android version.

The camera setup will be basically- 50MP f/1.8 main with OIS, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, and 8MP f/2.4 telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The front camera sits at 12MP f/2.2. Nothing groundbreaking here, but it should handle most photography needs fine.

Battery

Okay, so the battery situation is all over the place in these leaks. Some sources claim 4,900mAh with 45W wired charging, while others say 4,500mAh with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. There’s even talk that the battery might be smaller than the S24 FE’s 4,700mAh unit.

We don’t know which leak is accurate, but 45W charging seems consistent across reports. IP68 rating is confirmed though, so water resistance is covered.

Another thing about the design aspect, is that they have now flipped the camera module by 90 degrees, which now resembles a pixel module, but with much smaller potrude. The phone comes in four color options: Shadow Blue, Sleek Black, Monsoon Green, and Plum Red. It’s got an IP64 rating too, so basic water splashes won’t kill it.

Performance and Software

At its core is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which handles 5G connectivity without any fuss. You’re getting 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. Yeah, 4GB might feel tight with heavy multitasking, but for the price, i don’t you can expect much.

The phone runs Android 15-based XOS 15.1 out of the box, which is surprisingly fresh. They’ve also thrown in some Infinix AI features, though we don’t know much about what those actually do yet.

Camera and Battery

You’re getting a 50MP main rear camera with a secondary auxiliary sensor, but they downgraded the front camera from 8MP to 5MP compared to the 4G model. More often than not, budget phones sacrifice somewhere, and selfie quality seems to be it here.

But here’s where they made up for it – the battery jumps to 6,000 mAh, which is 840 mAh more than the 4G version. That’s massive for a phone at this price. It supports 18W wired charging and 10W reverse charging too.

They’ve packed in a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, and a dedicated microSD slot. All things considered, it’s a pretty complete package for the price point.
