MediaTek is keeping its 4G chipsets relevant with the introduction of the Helio G200, the latest in its long-running Helio G-series. Although the name implies a significant advancement, the G200 is more of a subtle improvement over its predecessors. Here in this article, we’ll walk through the specs and features of the Mediatek Helio G200 SoC.

Mediatek Helio G200 Overview

6nm Architecture

At its core, the Mediatek Helio G200 still runs on the 6nm TSMC N6 node, just like the Helio G99 and G100. It also retains the same octa-core CPU setup, with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The key change lies in the GPU, where the Mali-G57 MC2 sees a modest bump from 1.0GHz to 1.1GHz, delivering slightly better graphics performance — a welcome but incremental gain. So, we can expect a slight improvement, although not much.

Display and Memory Support

In terms of display, the Helio G200 is capable of powering Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz, making it a good fit for budget mid-range devices. You also get the support for LPDDR4X RAM at speeds up to 4,266Mbps and UFS 2.2 storage, just like its predecessors

It will provide you with a 5-second output, which is pretty fun to share on social media.

What else will be on the Honor 400 Series?

As of the latest leaks, two devices have been mentioned so far: Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro. The regular Honor 400 will feature a 6.55-inch flat AMOLED display, while the Pro model will come with a slightly larger 6.7-inch AMOLED panel featuring curved edges on all sides. Both displays will offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits with HDR support.

Honor is also rumored to be working on an even smaller model in the series, possibly with a 6.3-inch screen. In terms of design, the Honor 400 and 400 Pro will closely resemble the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra.

The Honor 400 will likely use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while Honor will equip the 400 Pro with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Both phones will run MagicOS 9.0, built on Android 15, and they will offer a suite of AI features in addition to the AI image-to-video tool. Popular multinational IT company Hewlett-Packard, or as we all know them — HP, has launched two new additions to their Pavilion series. The Pavilion series is the most popular laptop series from HP in Nepal. In this article, we’ll walk through the specs, features, and official price of the HP Pavilion Plus (2023) laptop in Nepal.

Design and Display

HP Pavilion Plus (2023) comes with a sleek aluminium body. The main highlight of HP Pavilion Plus is surely its display. As their names suggest, HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2023) ships with a compact 14″ display. Whereas, HP Pavilion Plus 16 (2023) ships with a higher 16″ display. The HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2023) ships with a 1920×1200 14″ IPS panel as a base display.

This display is capable of 250 nits of brightness. You can upgrade the display up to IMAX Certified 2.8K (2880 x 1800) 14″ OLED screen with UWVA and SDR 400 nits. Meanwhile, in HP Pavilion Plus 16, you can get a 2.5K (2560×1600) 120Hz display.

The amount of choices provided by the HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2023) is carried over to the processor section as well. Whereas the choices are rather limited in HP Pavilion Plus 16 (2023).

For GPU, you can either get integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 LT GPU (4GB), along with Intel Processor in other markets. On the other hand, you can get Radeon 740M, 760M, or 780M graphics with AMD Processor. Carrying on to RAM, you can get up to 16 GB LPDDR5x-5200 MHz with Intel, whereas you can get up to 32 GB LPDDR5x-6400 MHz with AMD.

HP Pavilion Plus 16

Unlike the HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2023), its 16″ counterpart limits the processor choices to only two options from Intel, that being either Intel i5-13500H or Intel i7-13700H. In terms of graphics, you can either get the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics or GeForce RTX 3050 discrete GPU. And in terms of RAM, you can get up to 16 GB LPDDR5x-5200 MHz in the Pavilion Plus 16.

Regardless of the processor, both the HP Pavilion Plus offer maximum storage of up to 1 TB with PCIe Gen4 NVMe TLC M.2 SSD.

Battery and Extras

Both the devices share a lot of their hardware. Both these devices come with a 3-cell, 51 Wh Li-ion polymer battery. For the charger, we get a 90 W USB Type-C Power Adapter. Similarly, both devices boast an HP True Vision 5MP IR camera with a privacy shutter. Both devices are powered by a dual speaker developed by the Danish company Bang & Olufsen (B&O). They are then further amplified by HP Audio Boost.

The devices have a total of 6 input/output ports. They include 2 USB Type-C, 2 USB Type-A, 1 HDMI 2.1, and 1 headphone/microphone combo port each. One of the two USB Type-C ports in the HP Pavilion Plus 16 (2023) has Thunderbolt support, unlike its 14″ counterpart.

Apple held a relatively short and sweet event for iPads about a month ago where they refreshed the iPad Pro and iPad Air lineup. Both of them have now officially arrived in Nepal as well. And in this article, we’ll be going through the features, specifications, availability, and the latest official price of the Apple iPad Pro M4 (2024).

Apple iPad Pro M4 Overview

M4 madness

One of the headlining features of the new 11” and 13” iPad Pros for 2024 is definitely the M4 chip inside. Apple decided to skip the M3 for these devices and jumped straight from M2 to M4 making the iPad Pros the first products to sport the new Apple Silicion.

M4 is based on the second generation of TSMC’s 3nm node and brings improved efficiency alongside a separate display engine for the tandem OLED screens which we’ll talk about in a bit. It has industry-leading performance per watt and can dish out the same power as an M2 iPad Pro with half the energy.

It also brings major bumps to speed promising up to 1.5x faster CPU performance and up to a 4x better GPU. The neural engine inside the iPad is also the most powerful one thus far and promises up to 38 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second).

Brightest and thinnest iPad ever

As I said earlier, the new iPad Pros sport entirely new tandem OLED screens where two layers of OLED are used for improved brightness, range, and precision. Apple boasts 1000 nits of all-screen brightness for SDR and up to a whopping 1600 nits peak for HDR.

This new technology has also allowed them to level up XDR precision with sub-millisecond control over the color and luminance of individual pixels. Besides that, you get smooth 120Hz ProMotion, wide P3 colors, and True Tone.

Apple also introduced its “Nano-textured” glass which provides a glare-free experience without compromising image quality and contrast for an additional 100 dollars.

We also get to see a redesign of the casing. The new 11” iPad Pro measures just 5.3mm thin while the 13” model is the thinnest Apple product ever at 5.1mm thickness. The iPads are also lighter than their predecessors weighing just 444 (11”) and 579 (13”) grams. Compared to the iPad Pro 12.9”, the new 13” model with M4 is more than 100 grams lighter offering superior portability options.

Accessories and Extras

Alongside the iPad, we also got to see complementary accessories. There’s a new Apple Pencil Pro with haptic feedback and a new Magic Keyboard with a function row, larger trackpad, and aluminum build.

The rear houses a 12MP camera with a LiDar scanner, and adaptive “True Tone” flash inside a rectangular island. The camera on the front is also re-located to the landscape orientation like the iPad Air. There are a total of 4 speakers and 4 microphones spread across the device and now the base storage configuration has been bumped up to 256GB.
