According to a report by The Verge, (an American technology news website), researchers discovered that OpenAI’s ChatGPT macOS app was storing user chats in plain text without any encryption on the system. This is a huge security risk that allows for unintended access to sensitive information.

OpenAI’s recently launched ChatGPT macOS app had a safety flaw that stored user conversations without any form of added security, making them easily accessible to malicious groups or apps. Later the issue was solved when The Verge reported this to OpenAI. The company acknowledged the matter and announced that they have released a new version of the app that encrypts users’ conversations. In a statement to The Verge, an OpenAI spokesperson  said “We are aware of this issue and have shipped a new version of the application that encrypts these conversations.” She confirmed the fix, emphasizing their commitment to security. After this update, Vieira’s app could no longer access the conversations or record them.

A balanced perspective

The release of the ChatGPT app on MacOS seemed somewhat unwanted given that Mac users could already access ChatGPT via Safari. Also, the initial lack of encryption in the macOS app highlighted a serious lapse in security protocol, especially for an app that handles user’s sensitive data. But comparatively, the application is a lot easier and more reliable to use than the website’s ChatGPT.

However, the quick response by OpenAI to this security flaw showed their commitment to user privacy and data protection. OpenAI has taken a crucial step in solving the issue and preventing future vulnerabilities by quickly releasing an update that encrypts conversations.

  • First, you can go through this website: https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np/
  • Then, click on the “First Issuance” option.
  • Choose the Ordinary 34 pages or 66 pages option and hit the proceed option. (For the moment, only the 34-page option is available)
  • Book the appointment date by putting your current province, district, and location.
  • Select the date of appointment. Do note, that the appointment dates are subject to appear as per quota basis. So, you might have to keep checking it time and again.
  • Fill in the demographic information such as surname, name, gender, DOB, place of birth, birth country, nationality, etc.
  • Then, type your citizenship information correctly, then, your contact details and emergency contact details.
  • After that, you need to upload your citizenship’s front and back. Make sure the image size is under 300KB.
  • Review the application summary and make edits if necessary. And save it after filling up the CAPTCHA.
  • Then, you’ll get the reference number copy it for future reference, and paste it into your desired notes app.
  • Download the application profile and print the downloaded form.
  • Then, go to the designated office on the appointed date with all necessary documents alongside the printed bar-coded application form.
  • Your biometrics will be taken on the appointment date alongside the payment.
  • You might have to wait for a month to get your e-passport.

App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi has shared new screenshots revealing Instagram’s developing AI bot creation framework. This includes a feature for users to ‘Create an AI version of yourself.

What exactly is this AI feature?

As per the confirmation from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, a new feature called ‘AI Studio’ is in the works. This will enable creators to create AI-driven chatbots to manage follower interactions for them. This feature will be built into the app, enabling people to generate digital avatars that can interact and engage on their behalf.

He says,

“We think people want to interact with lots of different people and businesses and there need to be a lot of different AIs that get created to reflect people’s different interests.”

This new AI feature will primarily be applied in messaging and clearly labelled as AI. In the broadcast, Meta’s chief also demonstrated examples of conversations with AI-powered creator chatbots, revealing that Instagram has collaborated with the creators behind the meme account “Wasted” and Don Allen Stevenson III to develop these early versions.

Meta’s vision for AI isn’t new. Last year, Zuckerberg discussed similar ideas when exposing the Meta AI assistant and celebrity-themed chatbots. With AI Studio now in the testing phase, the real test will be whether users will engage with AI versions of their favourite creators. When creators use AI to respond to followers, there’s no guarantee that the AI will always provide satisfactory replies. Sometimes, the responses from AI might differ from the creator’s intended message, potentially creating a negative image for the creators. So, is it worth letting an AI decide the response to a message?

However, because businesses might have a similar conversation to most of their clients, this can be a useful feature for them.

So, let’s look at the specifications, features, availability, and the latest official price of the Vivo Y16 in Nepal.

Design, Display

Like most Vivo phones, the Y16  places a premium on design. It has 2.5D curved edges and a back panel with a textured pattern that Vivo claims is anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch. It is available in two colors: Drizzling Gold and Stellar Black.
