Dyson Zone combined features of noise-canceling headphones with a wearable air purifier but it couldn’t perform as well in the market. It was weird-looking, heavy-weight, and ultimately NOT what the average person wanted to be wearing.
The company has now announced its second series of headphones- OnTrac. These headphones represent Dyson’s attempt to establish itself in the premium headphones market with a more grounded concept: customizable headphones.
The main selling point of OnTrac is its customizable feature with replaceable ear cushions and outer caps, offering over 2,000 color combinations. The form factor looks similar to Zone but without the air purification visor.
Dyson provides a foldable carrying case with the OnTrac headphones, but it offers limited protection and can easily let in water or dirt. They claim to deliver “best-in-class” noise cancellation using an eight-microphone system.

While many were hoping Dyson would refine the air purification concept with a better design, the customizable colours offer a fun alternative. The long-lasting battery OnTrac is tough competition for brands like Apple, Bose, and Sony. Google Gemini AI: Privacy Concerns Arise
Google’s Gemini AI gained good attention almost overnight, but recently the application has sparked controversy which might eventually damage the company’s reputation. In just a few months Google integrated Gemini with features like document analysis, email replies, and predictive text suggestions across Google Workspace. But, despite these benefits, a serious issue has arisen. Gemini AI can now view private Google Drive documents without user approval, causing serious privacy issues.
Users Concern
Kevin Bankston, a Senior Advisor on AI Governance signalized this issue first. He says Gemini automatically summarized his tax return in Google Docs without prompting.
Just pulled up my tax return in @Google Docs–and unbidden, Gemini summarized it. So…Gemini is automatically ingesting even the private docs I open in Google Docs? WTF, guys. I didn’t ask for this. Now I have to go find new settings I was never told about to turn this crap off.
Bankston found that after activating Gemini for one document, it automatically activates all subsequent files of the same type within Google Drive. This doesn’t stop here, Google Gemini will then be activated automatically for any future files of the same kind that are opened within Google Drive.
When questioned about this matter, Google support and Gemini AI seemed unaware of the exact circumstances. Or maybe they’re just not ready to admit their mistake yet? Gemini claimed that privacy settings should be easily available, but they were not. This might mean either an AI “hallucination (lying)” or an internal problem with the system.
Eventually, Bankston found the settings toggle, and along with that, he also found Gemini summaries for Gmail, Drive, and Docs were already disabled. The settings, however, were in an entirely different location than where the Gemini’s bot had indicated.
On the other hand, he added that this problem occurred only in Google Drive, not in other places. And the problem started when he pressed the Gemini button on at least one document. So Bankston thinks this problem might be due to a setting (Google Workspace Labs) he turned on in 2023, which is now messing up how Gemini is supposed to work.

While this may (or may not) limit the issue to Workspace Labs users, it represents a severe privacy breach for those who helped test Google’s latest technology. This incident highlights the critical importance of user consent, especially regarding sensitive information.

Inside the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 packs an 11mm speaker unit capable of delivering dynamic sound. They also have three microphones on each side working in tandem for audio reception while also analysing the ambient sound for noise cancellation. Yep, these earbuds have ANC but lack any sort of Ambient mode. Additionally, Samsung has powered these buds with its in-house Seamless Codec capable of encoding up to 24bit / 96kHz audio. One of the key features of the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 is the Galaxy AI integration. While the AI helping out with ANC and EQ is there, it also does other kinds of stuff. Like, the Interpreter feature seamlessly works on these buds in coordination with your Galaxy smartphone. You can control these earbuds through touch as well as voice. Additionally, they also have some ecosystem features. For instance, Auto Switch allows you to pair and use these earbuds on Samsung phones and laptops simultaneously. To do what it does, the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 relies on Bluetooth v5.4 to maintain connection with your smartphone. In terms of battery, these wireless buds pack a 48 mAh cell on each side and a 515 mAh unit in its charging case. With this, they offer up to 6 hours of independent and 30 hours of combined playtime when ANC is turned off. When you turn on the noise cancellation, the battery life drops to five hours and a day’s worth respectively. Lastly, they can be charged through USB Type-C and wirelessly too.

The major wow factor on both of these phones is that they have the powerful A11 Bionic processor which is the fastest processor from Apple and has been optimized for Augmented Reality (AR). Also, the 12-megapixel f/1.8 primary camera in the iPhone 8 and the dual 12-megapixel primary camera in the iPhone 8 Plus both have a Dxomark rating of 94 which makes them the best camera phones that you can buy in Nepal. The cameras also offer the latest portrait lighting mode.
The display on these new models supports Apple’s True Tone feature, which adjusts the screen’s appearance and color temperature so that it always looks pleasant and less blue/harsh to your eyes in a variety of lighting environments. Another key factor in both of these models is that they come with a glass back that supports wireless charging. Fast charging mode is also supported on them but one will have to buy a special fast-charging adapter: Apple’s $49 29W USB-C along with a $25 USB-C-to-Lightning power cable. However, much cannot be said about the design and build of these two models as they have pretty outdated designs.
However, the catch here is that it has been quite some time since these products were released in the global market. Also, Apple has already released it’s latest offering: iPhone X which lies on the expensive side of the scale ($999 for the 64GB model and $1,149 for 256GB) but also has topped the game of iPhones that have been released till date. OnePlus Watch 2 made its way to Nepal about a week ago. Meanwhile, the company has outed yet another smartwatch to the international market. In this article, we will discuss the fresh out-of-factory OnePlus Watch 2R in further detail while also estimating the price it might launch in Nepal.

One of the major differentiating factors between the OnePlus Watch 2 and Watch 2R is their designs. While the former comes with a rather odd-looking protrusion on the right, the latter takes a more traditional and neutral approach. While the previous OnePlus smartwatch was an absolute unit weighing a total of 80 grams with its steel body. The OnePlus 2R is much lighter at 59 grams courtesy of its aluminium alloy build. In the meantime, it gives up on the MIL-STD-810H military certifications but keeps the IP68 and ATM5 ratings.
On the front, you get the same AMOLED panel measuring 1.43 inches and stretching 466 x 466 pixels in resolution. It also offers a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and is protected by 2D glass layering. In the meantime, the OnePlus Watch 2R is available in Forest Green and Gunmetal Grey colour options. You get silicone straps with this watch by default, however, you can swap it out for another 22mm with other material options.
OnePlus surprised the world with its decision to feature dual-processors on the Watch 2. And they are continuing the trend. Meaning, the OnePlus Watch 2R also comes with both the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and the BES2700BP processors under its hood. It is also equipped with two operating systems — Wear OS 4 and RTOS. This unique setup allows the watch to be energy-efficient as well as feature-rich. Additional hardware on this thing includes 2GB memory and 32GB storage.
Talking of the features, the OnePlus Watch 2R comes with Bluetooth v5.0 and allows you to make and receive calls. You also get dual-band WiFi and NFC support on this watch. Similarly, the fitness tracking on this thing is no sleeper either — thanks to the seven different types of sensors it is equipped with. To add accuracy to all the tracking, this watch comes with a dual-frequency five-way navigation system. While it can do all the regular stuff like sleep, heart rate, and blood oxygen monitoring, it also offers over 100 sports modes, out of which it can auto-detect six modes. To keep all the things running, the OnePlus Watch 2R packs a 500mAh battery that can last you about four days on regular usage.
