Samsung Galaxy S25 FE launched with upgraded specs and Galaxy AI

0

Samsung just dropped the Galaxy S25 FE today, and the phone packs some upgrades over the S24 FE, including an Exynos 2400 chipset, a bigger battery and Android 16 running out of the box. Now, let’s dive in this article, where i will discuss everything about the latest Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Overview

Performance and Processor

The S25 FE runs on the full Exynos 2400 chipset, which is actually an upgrade from the S24 FE’s downclocked Exynos 2400e. You’re getting the proper 10-core setup with that 3.2 GHz Cortex-X4 prime core.  Similarly, Samsung kept the RAM at 8GB across all models, same as the S24 FE. Meanwhile, on the software front,  the Galaxy S25 FE runs with Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box and gets 7 years of software updates.

Display and Design

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Design and Display

Samsung kept the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display but cranked up the brightness to 2600 nits from 1900 nits.  The phone got slimmer too – 7.4mm thick versus 8mm on the S24 FE, and it dropped weight to 190g from 213g. Samsung’s also using a more premium material with enhanced Armor Aluminum for the frame.  Regarding referesh rate, you’re still getting that 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.

Camera and AI Features

Camera hardware is basically identical to the S24 FE – 50MP main with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide, and 8MP 3x telephoto. The front camera did get bumped to 12MP from 10MP.

But Samsung’s seems to be betting on AI to make the difference. You’re getting Generative Edit that automatically detects background people and suggests removing them, plus Instant Slow-mo for turning any video into slow motion with a tap. Among other stuff, Audio Eraser can isolate specific sounds like voices, music, or wind noise in videos so you can reduce or remove them entirely. Auto Trim automatically picks the best moments from your footage. Similarly, Now Bar surfaces helpful info right on the lock screen, while Now Brief gives you personalized daily updates.

Battery Life and Charging

Battery capacity went up to 4900mAh from 4700mAh, plus Samsung added a 10% larger vapor chamber for better thermal management. The phone supports 45W wired charging and 15W Qi2-ready wireless charging. Samsung claims you can get 65% charge in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter, though as usual, the charger’s sold separately.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite arrives in Nepal with a free S Pen inside the box

0

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite in Nepal, just a week after its global debut. This new budget tablet brings a free S Pen inside the box itself, among other things. So in this article, I will discuss everything about the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, including its official price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite Overview:

Display and design

Starting with the display, you’re getting a 10.9-inch TFT display with 2112 × 1320 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung confirms this panel can hit 600 nits of peak brightness with Vision Booster technology and features lower blue light emission as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite design and display

Meanwhile, the tablet comes in three colors: Gray, Silver, and Coral Red. It has a premium build with both the backplate and the frames being made out of metal. The Tab S10 Lite is also pretty slim at just 6.6mm, while it weighs around 524 grams.

Performance

As for performance, the Tab S10 Lite is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 (5nm) chip. The same Exynos 1380 chip that we’ve seen on a bunch of Galaxy phones like the Galaxy A35 (review) and the Galaxy M35 (review).

You can get it with either 6GB RAM + 128GB storage or 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, with microSD support up to 2TB. The Tab S10 Lite runs on One UI 7 with Android 15 on top, while Samsung also promises 7 years of OS + security updates for this tablet.

The Tab S10 Lite gets its juice from an 8,000 mAh battery that Samsung says supports “Super-Fast Charging”. Which means it can accept up to 25W of power at most.

S Pen and Creative Focus

Samsung’s really pushing the creative angle here. The S Pen comes in the box with features like “Handwriting Assist” and “Solve Math” in Samsung Notes. You also get “Circle to Search” with Google and a dedicated Galaxy AI key on the optional Book Cover Keyboard.

AirPods Pro 3 rumors point to September launch with health monitoring

0

Apple’s getting ready to drop the AirPods Pro 3 very soon this month, and if the leaks are right, we’re looking at some pretty significant changes coming this fall. iPhone 17  series announcement is a dead cert for September 2025 (see more on iPhone 17 Pro Max here). Apple has apparently already sent out invites for an “Awe dropping” event on Tuesday, September 9, so expect the new earbuds to tag along. Now, let’s dive in this article, where i will discuss everything about the latest AirPods Pro 3 rumors, including specifications, expected features, and what they might cost when they hit Nepal.

AirPods Pro 3 Overview

airpods pro 3 design

The third-gen Pro earbuds are shaping up to be more than just a simple refresh. Apple’s supposedly cramming in health monitoring features that could make these things compete with fitness wearables. But the real question to ask Apple, whom are these earbuds specially for? Because current AirPods Pro 2 users aren’t exactly blown away by what they have now. I cannot generalize on this but I’ve got friends who tried the Pro 2 for the first time recently, and their reaction was pretty underwhelming. They said the sound was good, sure, but nothing like the hype suggested. Maybe that’s why Apple’s going all-in on health features this time around? Probably or probably not, as AirPods are almost universally liked devices, so maybe Apple is indeed seeing more competiton in the flagship section, with the rise of Huawei freebuds.

Performance and New Chip

The big upgrade here is the rumored H3 chip replacing the current H2. This new processor should handle better active noise cancellation. According to some users, the ANC needs fixing as one of the user complaints on Apple forums, calling ANC [was] getting worse on their AirPods Pro 2.  As the time they got them (release date) it worked perfectly but after all updates it’s started to get extremely bad.  Apple’s also targeting better audio processing and Bluetooth 5.4 support. The H3 chip will apparently power some sort of real-time translation feature, though it is not known exactly how that’ll work yet.

Health Features and Fitness Tracking

Here’s where things get weird – or cool, depending on how you look at it. The AirPods Pro 3 might pack heart rate sensors and temperature monitoring, similar to what Apple did with the Powerbeats Pro 2. The Powerbeats Pro 2 have a built-in heart-rate sensor that could be coming to the AirPods Pro 3.

The heart rate thing works by using LED sensors that pulse over 100 times per second to measure blood flow in your ears. Temperature sensing could be more accurate than wrist-based measurements too. Problem is, if you’ve already got an Apple Watch, these features might feel redundant.

Audio Quality and Design Changes

Apple is also promising better sound quality with clearer audio and improved bass definition. They’re also working on wireless lossless playback support for more devices beyond just the Vision Pro. But as mentioned above, whether that’ll actually wow people remains to be seen.

Design-wise, expect a smaller charging case with a hidden status LED and a new capacitive pairing button. The earbuds themselves might get shorter stems and possibly new color options beyond the standard white.

Battery Life and Durability

Battery life is staying around 6 hours per bud, which is honestly disappointing. Sony’s WF-1000XM5 already offers 8+ hours, so Apple’s not exactly leading here. The H3 chip might squeeze out some extra efficiency, but let’s see what the future holds.

AirPods Pro 3 Specifications (Rumored)

  • Processor: H3 chip
  • Health Features: Heart rate monitoring, temperature sensing
  • Battery Life: ~6 hours per bud, 30 hours with case
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.4, improved device switching
  • Water Resistance: IP54
  • Colors: White (standard), possible additional options

AirPods Pro 3 Price in Nepal and Availability

Apple’s expected to keep pricing around $249-280 globally, same as the current Pro 2. When these make it to Nepal, they’ll likely start at no less than NPR 35,000.

Model Price in US (Expected) Price in Nepal (Expected)
AirPods Pro 3 $249 NPR 35,000

Here is everything you need to know about iPhone 17 Pro Max

0

Apple just can’t seem to keep their next flagship under wraps as we have some leaks, some rumors and so much more about the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max now being heavily discussed all over the internet. The most antipated phone on the planet seems to be getting a complete makeover, and some of these changes are starting to feel questionable, for me and many others. Now, let’s dive into this article, where will discuss everything about the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max rumors, including its specifications and expected availability.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Overview

Apple will launch its new iPhone 17 series this month, and the iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to get a new design for the rear casing and the camera area. But to spill the beams not all changes here are innovative or even upgrade. Indeed, Apple’s ditching the titanium frame for aluminum while keeping the same $1,199 price tag. It makes sense that it indeed makes zero sense for everyone else, unless they’re spending that money elsewhere, which doesn’t seem to be happening.

The most talked-about change is the camera module redesign. They’re moving from the familiar vertical triple-camera setup to a full-width rectangular camera bar that stretches across the entire back.

Display and Design Changes

Iphone 17 pro max design and display

You’re getting the same 6.9-inch display size, but with Samsung’s new M14 OLED panel that bumps peak brightness to around 3,000 nits from the current 2,000 nits. The two devices (Pro and Pro Max) are apparently set to become the longest-battery life iPhones to date, thanks to both increased capacity and improved efficiency across the device. The display also gets slimmer bezels.

The phone’s getting thicker too – 8.73mm versus 8.25mm on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple’s reasoning is the larger battery, but when everyone else is pushing 7,000 mAh batteries, Apple’s rumored ~5,000 mAh feels conservative. And as i mentioned above, step backward from titanium to aluminum-glass back combo now is confusing everyone, especially at this price point. One particularly odd rumor suggests the Apple logo is moving lower on the back to accommodate the new camera design.

Performance

The A19 Pro chip is built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process and comes with 12GB of RAM – a jump from 8GB. Now, the iPhone 17 Pro Max might be able to maintain high performance levels for longer thanks to a new vapor chamber cooling system, but that feels like solving a problem that didn’t really exist, as the A18 Pro was already overkill for most tasks. Apple also supposedly including their own 5G modem and Wi-Fi 7 chip.

Camera System

All three rear cameras are getting bumped to 48MP, including the telephoto lens. Some rumors suggest the new telephoto lens will support up to 8x optical zoom, and the main camera could support 8K video recording. The front camera’s jumping from 12MP to 24MP across the entire iPhone 17 lineup. Needless to say, but a long-overdue upgrade that is finally happening.

What’s annoying though are the conflicting rumors about zoom capabilities. Some say it’s 5x to 8x variable zoom, others suggest it might actually drop to 3.5x at the low end.  Apple’s also rumored to add a second Camera Control button, though everyone who used the iPhone 16 Pro Max says they barely touched the first one.

Battery Life and Charging

The battery is getting bigger – rumored to be around 5,000 mAh or slightly above. It’s also been claimed that 2025’s iPhone 17 Slim, or Air, will use advanced silicon-anode battery technology developed by Japan’s TDK. This is believed to provide 15% more energy compared to current designs.  So while everyone else is pushing toward 7,000 mAh batteries, Apple’s is again playing it safe with traditional lithium-ion chemistry.

Wired charging might bump up to 35W from 30W, which is still embarrassingly slow compared to Android flagships hitting 100W+. Wireless charging stays at 25W with some potential reverse charging for AirPods and Apple Watch.

Apple Intelligence

The iPhone 17 Pro Max ships with iOS 26 and new Apple Intelligence features that’ll probably be exclusive to Pro models. But Apple Intelligence has been mostly a disappointment. Most people (i know) who got the iPhone 16 Pro Max don’t even use the AI features regularly, and many find them more annoying than helpful.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Specifications

  • Display: 6.9-inch Samsung M14 OLED, 3,000 nits peak brightness, 120Hz ProMotion
  • Processor: A19 Pro chip (3nm N3P process)
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Storage: Starting at 256GB
  • Battery: ~5,000 mAh with vapor chamber cooling
  • Rear Cameras: 48MP Main, 48MP Ultra Wide, 48MP Telephoto (5x-8x zoom)

iPhone 17 Pro Max Price in Nepal and Availability

Due to tariffs and years without major increases, many expect the iPhone 17 lineup to be more expensive, but Apple might have good news. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely start at $1,199 for the 256GB model in the US. When it reaches Nepal, expect pricing to start at no less than NPR 185,000.

ZTE’s budget “iPhone 17 Pro Max” is launching soon in Nepal!

Alongside the ZTE Blade A56, we can confirm that the even more affordable Blade A36 is arriving pretty soon in Nepal as well. And ZTE was clearly inspired by Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro series when designing this budget phone. So in this article, we will discuss all its details, alongside the expected price in Nepal of the ZTE Blade A36.

ZTE Blade A36 Overview

Design and display

Looking at the camera design, it’s clear that the ZTE Blade A36 has a lot of iPhone 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max energy to it. We have recently seen a similar trend with other Chinese phonemakers like Realme as well—with the Realme P4 and the Realme P4 Pro—so we’re not totally surprised.

ZTE Blade A36 design

The ZTE Blade A36 also has a nice accented power button, but of course, that iPhone illusion immediately disappears once you flip it over. Since this budget phone still has a teardrop notch for the front camera. While its entire chassis is plastic-made as well.

And the display itself sees no upgrade over the Blade A35. Because you’re still looking at a 6.75-inch IPS panel with an HD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Performance and battery

But we do get an upgrade in terms of performance this time. So the ZTE Blade A36 now has Unisoc T7200 (12nm) chip inside, which has a notable performance jump from the Unisoc SC9863A1 (22nm) chip on its predecessor.

Moreover, you get 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, with the option to further expand the storage via a microSD card. It runs on Android 15 with ZTE’s “MiFavor” UI on top, whereas the Blade A36 gets its power from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

Cameras and rest

In the camera department, ZTE has brought a minor upgrade this time. Firstly, the Blade A36 now has a 5MP selfie camera instead of a 2MP lens. While the rear camera also upgrades from an 8MP camera to a 13MP unit.

ZTE Blade A36 Specifications:

  • Design and build: 167.6 x 77.4 x 8.3 mm
  • Display: 6.75-inch IPS screen, HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Unisoc T7200 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4GB RAM, 64GB storage (expandable up to 1TB)
  • Software & UI: ZTE MiFavor on top of Android 15
  • Rear Camera: Dual (13MP primary, auxiliary lens)
  • Front Camera: 5MP sensor (teardrop notch)
  • Battery: 5000 mAh with 10W charging (10W adapter provided in the box)

ZTE Blade A36 Price in Nepal and Availability

The ZTE Blade A36 is launching pretty soon in Nepal at an expected price of NPR 11,000 for the 4/64GB model. We will be sure to update this article with the latest information as they are available, so stick around.

ZTE Blade A56 is coming to Nepal with a large 5,000 mAh battery

ZTE’s newest budget phone—the Blade A56—went official almost two months ago. And we can now confirm that this phone is arriving soon in Nepal as well. So without further ado, let’s jump into the specifications and features of the upcoming ZTE Blade A56, along with its expected price in Nepal.

ZTE Blade A56 Overview

Design and Display

In terms of the design, ZTE has essentially glammed up the Blade A55 a little this time. It still has the same boxy design, a teardrop notch for the selfie camera, and an eye-catching power button (that doubles as a fingerprint reader) with a red accent.

But as you can see from the image below, the Blade A56’s edges around the camera module now have this golden touch-up. In both the “Celestial Black” and “Floating Gold” color options.

ZTE Blade A56 design

It’s also 0.2mm thinner now, although that’s something you’re never gonna notice. As for the display, it boasts the same 6.75-inch HD+ IPS panel with up to a 90Hz refresh rate.

Performance

At least ZTE has shown some love in the performance department since the Blade A56 is now powered by a Unisoc T7200 chip (12nm). It has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores, compared to how the Blade A55’s Unisoc SC9863A1 (22nm) processor only had weak Cortex-A55 CPU cores.

This has been paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage, while the phone boots on Android 15 with ZTE’s “MiFavor” UI on top. And if you want more storage, you can expand it up to 1TB by using a micro SD card as well.

Cameras and the rest

Other than this, the ZTE Blade A56 doesn’t have any sort of meaningful upgrades anywhere. It still only brings a 13MP main camera at the back alongside a couple of useless auxiliary lenses. Whereas you get an 8MP front camera for selfies here.

The ZTE Blade A56 gets its fuel from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging. And of course, it also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.

ZTE Blade A56 Specifications:

  • Design and build: 167.64 x 77.37 x 8.3 mm, 193 grams
  • Color options: Celestial Black, Floating Gold
  • Display: 6.75-inch IPS screen, HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Unisoc T7200 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4GB RAM, 64/128GB storage (expandable up to 1TB)
  • Software & UI: ZTE MiFavor on top of Android 15
  • Rear Camera: Triple (13MP primary, a couple of 0.08MP auxiliary lenses)
  • Front Camera: 8MP sensor (teardrop notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 4 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB-C, 4G
  • Battery: 5000 mAh with 10W charging (10W adapter provided in the box)

iPhone 16 Overview

Design

The major design change that we have witnessed on the iPhone 16 is the redesigned camera module. The Cupertino tech giant has brought back the vertical camera layout from the past on this new guy. ‘Cause the last time we saw a vertical camera module was on the iPhone 12.

iPhone 16 Display

Meanwhile, the boxy frame design is here to stay with a metal build in the middle. That’s because the more sturdy and fancy titanium build is reserved for the Pro models to maintain the gap, obviously. Plus, the Action Button is also now available on the vanilla model for the first time, bidding farewell to the mute switch button (RIP alert slider).

So, the volume rockers are there below the action button. Well, that’s not only it, Apple has also added an extra Capture Button on the side of the power button as well. As for the color, it comes in Black, White, Pink, Teal, and Ultramarine.

Display

In terms of display, the iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, the same as its predecessor. While Apple has redesigned the camera module, it has also introduced much thinner bezels. However, the refresh rate remains at 60Hz, which is surprising given that we are nearing the end of 2024. But, as always, it’s Apple being Apple!

Performance

The iPhone 16 uses the Apple 18 SoC across the board. Likewise, a new thermal design with a graphene layer also comes with the iPhone 16 models. Similarly, you’ll now get the memory of 8GB supported by a storage capacity of up to 512GB.

iPhone 16 Specifications

Besides that, a bunch of AI improvements are in the store, with Apple Intelligence marking a new feat in the smartphone market.

Camera, Battery, and Others

iPhone 16 Specifications

The iPhone 16 retains its dual-camera setup, featuring a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, without a resolution upgrade this time. However, it now offers the ability to capture macro shots. On the battery front, it brings a 3,561mAh battery which might contribute to a longer 6% battery life. Moreover, the iPhone 16 brings WiFi 7, a USB Type-C port, and an AI-enhanced Siri experience.

  • Display: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Resolution: 2556 x 1179 pixels
  • Processor: Apple 18 SoC

Price drop alert: iPhone 15 is now a bit more affordable in Nepal

0

If you are looking for an affordable non-Pro iPhone, the iPhone 15 is probably the way to go for most folks. And now, it is also quite a bit more affordable than what it launched for in Nepal. So in this article, let’s walk through the specs, features, and the latest official price in Nepal of the iPhone 15.

iPhone 15 Overview:

Design and Display

The iPhone 15 shares an identical visual to the iPhone 14. While the titanium frame is reserved for the Pro/Pro Max siblings, the aerospace-grade aluminum frame is still a sturdy thing on the vanilla iPhone 15.

Besides this, its rear panel is polished with nanocrystalline particles for a textured matte finish. Likewise, you get an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water drips. Apple ships this guy in five color options: Black, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Pink.

iPhone 15 Design and Display

Getting to the display, it’s the same panel as the iPhone 14 Pro at 6.1 inches in size. This Super Retina XDR screen bears an FHD+ resolution (2556 x 1179 pixels), HDR10, Dolby Vision, 2,000 nits of peak brightness, and Ceramic Shield glass protection.

Sadly, the refresh rate has stayed the same at 60Hz to bridge the gap with the Pro siblings. What’s new this time is the arrival of Dynamic Island, Apple’s “innovative” way of making the best out of a notch, introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro Series. And this finally marks the end of the gigantic notch.

A16 Bionic

Running the show on the core of the iPhone 15 is Apple’s last year chipset, the A16 Bionic. To recall, Apple brought the culture of using last-gen chips on the vanilla and Plus models from the iPhone 14 series. While it’s not as powerful as the latest A17 Pro SoC on the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, the A16 Bionic still packs a load of punch.

This 4nm-fabbed chip features a hexa-core architecture with two Everest cores at 3.46GHz and four Sawtooth cores at 2.0GHz clock speeds. Handling the graphics tasks and gaming is the 5-core GPU from Apple.

A16 Bionic Chip

As for the software, the iPhone 15 boots on the latest iOS 17. This iteration brings a bunch of improvements and customization options such as customized caller ID, message transcription, Namedrop (sharing contact through Airdrop), StandBy Mode, and such.

Camera

Getting to the optics, Apple still lays a dual camera setup on this vanilla model. However, the primary shooter gets a resolution bump this time, with a 48MP sensor. This quad-pixel camera brings 100% Focus Pixels for swift autofocus.

What’s more interesting is the 24MP super-high-res mode which is set by default. Apple claims superb image quality at a practical file size with this mode. To address the lack of a zoom unit here, this vanilla model offers a 2X telephoto option as well.

iPhone 15 Camera

Moving to the front, you get a 12MP TrueDepth camera engraved on the Dynamic Island which also doubles as a 3D face scanner for biometrics security.

USB-C and others

With the EU mandating a USB-C port in different consumer electronic goods in its region, Apple has finally abstained from its Lightning port on the entire iPhone 15 series.

Unfortunately, the vanilla model equips an older, slower USB 2.0 port while the Pro siblings enjoy a faster USB 3.0 connection. You still get reverse charging via a USB-C to USB-C cable to charge your new updated AirPods Pro and Apple Watch.

iPhone 15 Reverse Wired Charging

As usual, Apple hasn’t mentioned the actual battery size of its latest iPhones but unofficial third-party teardowns should reveal that info shortly. Anyway, there’s no upgrade in the charging department since the iPhone 15’s wired and wireless charging speed is still capped at 20W and 15W (via MagSafe) respectively.

Whereas the phone still retains satellite connectivity, crash detection, and emergency SOS features. Apple has also introduced “Roadside Assistance” this time which uses satellite connection for calling in help for vehicles in deserted spots with no cellular connectivity.

iPhone 14 gets yet another price drop in Nepal

0

It’s been quite some time since Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 is the most affordable in this lineup, but it was launched at exorbitant pricing in Nepal. But after a series of price drops, the iPhone 14 is relatively more affordable now. So, let’s take a look at the specifications, features, availability, and the latest official price in Nepal of the iPhone 14.

iPhone 14 Overview:

Design, Display

The iPhone 14 retains the same design as its predecessor. That means a big notch on the front and camera lenses aligned diagonally on the back. The entire body is made of aerospace-grade aluminum and is dust and water-resistant to IP68 standards.

iPhone 14 Design and Display

Similarly, a Ceramic shield protects the iPhone 14’s front. The screen size is 6.1-inch and, as expected, it’s a SuperRetina XDR OLED display with Dolby Vision HDR, P3, and True Tone support. Other display features include a peak HDR brightness of 1200nits and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Sadly, there’s no 120Hz ProMotion this time as well.

Performance

Apple A15 Processor

Inside, Apple has packed last year’s A15 Bionic chip over the latest A16 Bionic. However, this is a 5-core GPU version of the SoC found in last year’s flagship iPhone 13 Pro models. As a result, it performs 18% better than its predecessor. There are three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

Cameras

As for the optics, the iPhone 14 features dual cameras on the back, including a 12MP wide-angle primary sensor with a larger f/1.5 aperture, sensor-shift OIS, and a secondary 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. These bigger camera sensors, when paired with the new Photonic Engine, deliver a significant improvement in low-light performance.

The Photonic Engine is a deep integration of hardware and software that improves the main sensor’s mid-to-low-light performance by 2.5x and the ultrawide and selfie camera’s performance by 2x. For the first time, the front camera also has an autofocus feature for selfies and video chats.

Battery

In terms of battery life, the iPhone 14 can provide up to 80 hours of audio playback and up to 20 hours of video playback. It charges with a 20W adapter and takes about 30 minutes to reach 50% capacity. There is also support for 15W MagSafe Wireless and 7.5W Qi wireless charging.

Extras

Finally, with the iPhone 14 series, Apple also announced a “Crash Detection” feature that makes use of the phone’s high-dynamic range gyroscope and dual-core accelerometer. When an accident is detected, the smartphone automatically connects to the emergency service.

iPhone 14 Series Satellite Connectivity

There’s also a new Emergency SOS via Satellite feature, which allows users to send messages even when there’s no cellular connection on the iPhone 14. For this, you need to point the phone directly at a satellite. But since satellites constantly revolve around the earth, Apple has created specialized software that shows you exactly where to point your phone to hit a satellite. This feature is free for two years in the United States and Canada.

iPhone 14 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.1‑inch (2532 × 1170 pixels) OLED, 460ppi, Super Retina XDR

Apple’s 4-year-old iPhone 13 enjoys a fresh price drop in Nepal

1

While the latest iPhone 16 series is quite expensive, given its latest features like a bigger camera sensor, USB Type-C, and faster performance, the 4-year-old iPhone 13 might be the right phone at the right price for most Apple enthusiasts. The good news is that it’s even more affordable in Nepal now. So let’s take a look at the regular iPhone 13 and its latest official price in Nepal, specifications, and more.

iPhone 13 Overview:

Design and Display

iPhone 13 comes with the same flat edge design that Apple offered in last year’s iPhones. The frame makes use of aluminum, while the corners are rounded. Similarly, the notch on the front is also smaller this time.

Moving on, there is not much to talk about the display. This 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen is brighter while retaining all the features of its predecessor. Still, it would have been better if Apple had included 120Hz ProMotion on the non-Pro iPhone 13s, too.

iPhone 13 Display and Design

Moving on, the iPhone 13 has an IP68 rating against dust and water damage. It is offered in five color options: (PRODUCT)RED, Starlight, Midnight, Blue, and Pink.

Performance and Memory

Like the rest of the entries in this lineup, the standard iPhone 13 is powered by the A15 Bionic chipset as well. Apple’s latest mobile silicon is based on TSMC’s 5nm process node and packs 15 billion transistors. Still, the iPhone 13 is not as powerful as its Pro siblings. Here, Apple has included a 6-core CPU and a 4-core GPU—contrary to the 5-core GPU on the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.

Apple A15 Processor

Apple is also claiming a significant boost in machine learning applications with its new 16-core Neural Engine, which is capable of 15.8 TOPS.

Camera

At the back, Apple has redesigned the camera bump, where the camera sensors are placed diagonally instead. While the ultra-wide camera has remained unchanged, the primary camera gets a couple of changes.

To start with, the iPhone 13 comes with a bigger sensor that can capture 47% more light compared to last year. It’s the same one that was used in last year’s Pro models. Similarly, sensor-shift Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is now on the vanilla iPhone as well.

iPhone 13 camera setup

With the new Cinematic mode, the iPhone 13 can now automatically shift the focus between subjects based on their movement. One can even change the focus after the recording using apps like Photos and iMovie. Like always, there is a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front.

Rest of the specs

iPhone 13 also brings a bigger battery. Apple claims that the new 3,240mAh cell on the iPhone 13 can last 2 hours more on offline video playback than the iPhone 12. The charging speed is the same as last year, though.

It supports 20W wired, 15W MagSafe Wireless, and 7.5W Qi Wireless charging. However, you will have to buy the charger separately as Apple doesn’t include one in the box.

iPhone 13 Specifications:

  • Dimension: 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.65mm, 174 grams
  • Display: 6.1-inch (2532 × 1170 pixels) OLED, 460 PPI, Super Retina XDR
