OnePlus has now launched the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, the successor of its flagship OnePlus Pad Pro tablet. Equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, this tablet brings spectacular specs for the price. Performance

Under the hood, the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro gets an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the powerhouse flagship SoC. It features two prime cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six others running at 3.53GHz. In the Geekbench 6 tests, it scored 2633 points for single-core and 7779 points for multi-core performance, which suggests strong performance across tasks.

Meizu might not be the most popular name in the smartphone world, but this Chinese smartphone maker provides value-for-money products. The Meizu Note 16 Series has debuted in China, and its specs are exciting for its price. Without further ado, let’s head straight into the specs, features, and expected price of the Meizu Note 16 Series in Nepal, in this article.

Meizu Note 16 Series Overview

Design and Display

We have two models under the Meizu Note 16 Series— Meizu Note 16 and Note 16 Pro. Addressing the design side, the Pro version comes with a flat frame body and a big circular camera module on its rear. It is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Likewise, the Note 16 goes for a Unisoc T8200 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Booting both phones is Meizu’s Flyme AIOS 2, built on top of Android 15.

Camera and Battery

Getting to the optics department, both silings sport a dual camera setup. The Pro variant flaunts a 50MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide unit, while the standard version gets a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensing unit.

Moving on, the Meizu Note 16 Pro gets its juice from a 6200mAh cell with 80W charging support. While the Meizu Note 16 relies on a bigger 6600mAh battery, albeit with a slower 40W charging support.

Mediatek unveils Helio G200, its new 4G chipset

MediaTek is keeping its 4G chipsets relevant with the introduction of the Helio G200, the latest in its long-running Helio G-series. Although the name implies a significant advancement, the G200 is more of a subtle improvement over its predecessors. Here in this article, we’ll walk through the specs and features of the Mediatek Helio G200 SoC.

Mediatek Helio G200 Overview

6nm Architecture

At its core, the Mediatek Helio G200 still runs on the 6nm TSMC N6 node, just like the Helio G99 and G100. It also retains the same octa-core CPU setup, with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The key change lies in the GPU, where the Mali-G57 MC2 sees a modest bump from 1.0GHz to 1.1GHz, delivering slightly better graphics performance — a welcome but incremental gain. So, we can expect a slight improvement, although not much.

Display and Memory Support

In terms of display, the Helio G200 is capable of powering Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz, making it a good fit for budget mid-range devices. You also get the support for LPDDR4X RAM at speeds up to 4,266Mbps and UFS 2.2 storage, just like its predecessors

HDR videos

One of the welcoming additions on the Helio G200 is its support for 12-bit Dual Conversion Gain (DCG). This enables improved HDR video quality, giving mobile videography a noticeable lift in dynamic range and color accuracy. So, HDR videos on a cheaper midrange phone could be a thing.

4G DC SAR Tech and Others

Likewise, this new Mediatek chip also supports 4G DC SAR technology. It aims to optimize the performance of social and messaging apps in regions with weak cellular signals. It reduces latency by up to 30% and boosts reception range, a curious but useful upgrade, especially for users in rural or low-signal areas. Interestingly, this technology could also benefit mobile gamers, though it’s primarily marketed for improving everyday app usage.

Sony has officially launched its latest flagship phone, the Xperia 1 VII. It brings updates in display, camera system, performance, and long-term software support.
