Flagship phones have been all about the cameras today. Take the newly launched Honor Magi 6 Pro as an example. This guy comes with a 180MP periscope zoom lens, a 50MP main camera with variable aperture, and more. And it is available for a discounted price in Nepal. Without further ado, let’s get straight into the specs, features, and latest price of the Honor Magic 6 Pro in Nepal.

Honor Magic 6 Pro Overview:

180MP Periscope Lens

Let’s start with the elephant in the room. The Honor Magic 6 Pro rocks a 180MP periscope camera, the highest resolution yet on a mobile smartphone for a zoom lens. This optically stabilized lens can optically zoom up to 2.5X and up to 100X digitally. Likewise, the main camera is a 50MP ultra-dynamic shooter with a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/2.0 for those photo enthusiasts. Last but not least is a 50MP ultrawide lens.

Honor Magic 6 Pro Camera

Talking of the videography aspects, there is no 8K recording though. The Magic 6 Pro can shoot up to 4K at 60fps. Upfront, there is a 50MP selfie snapper and a 3D ToF lens for 3D face scanning.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Like its Magic 6 sibling, the Pro variant also gets the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This 4nm fabbed silicon from Qualcomm features a prime Cortex-X4 core clocking at 3.3GHz, five Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2GHz, and two A520 cores running at 2.3GHz frequency. Handling the graphics core is an Adreno 750.

In terms of memory options, Honor ships this phone in three configurations: 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. As for the software, the phone boots on MagicOS 8 built on top of Android 14.

Design and Display

Getting to the design, the Magic 6 Pro doesn’t look much different from the Magic 6. You get a flat frame design with slightly curved edges and a thickness of 8.9mm. The circular camera module is also identically engraved in a metal frame. Even the color options are the same: Qilian Snow, Sea Lake Green, Wheat Wave Green, Flowing Cloud Purple, and Velvet Black. In terms of ingress protection, the device secures an IP68 rating.

Honor Magic 6 Pro Design and Display

As for the display, there is a 6.80-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution (2800 x 1280 pixels). This 120Hz screen supports LTPO tech for dynamically switching between 1Hz to 120Hz. It is shielded by a Giant Rhinoceros Glass, with an impressive 10-fold anti-drop rating. Other attributes include 4320Hz of PWM dimming, HDR 10+ certification, 1.07 Billion colors, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support.

Battery and Others

The Magic 6 Pro gets its juice from a 5600mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. Plus, there is 66W wireless fast charging support as well. In terms of connectivity options, you get 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, infrared, GPS, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. Furthermore, the device also packs an RF enhancement chip C1+ for enhanced network reception. It can also communicate directly to TianTong satellites via Hongyan Communication support.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra launched in Nepal with Leica cameras and Snapdragon 8 Elite

0

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in Nepal. It is the ultimate flagship from the company featuring a Leica quad-camera system and the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The device brings a 200MP Telephoto camera, high-resolution display, a powerful battery, and advanced AI capabilities. So lets learn everything about the latest Xiaomi 15 Ultra, including its official price in Nepal and pre-booking offers.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Overview

Leica Quad-Camera System

The Ultra series remains heavily focused on photography, even more so than Samsung and Apple’s flagships. It retains the large circular quad-camera module inspired by Leica cameras and is available in three versions: two-tone silver and black, along with plain black and white models.

The biggest upgrade in the camera system is a 200MP periscope camera with 4.3x zoom, offering improved low-light performance through a larger sensor, faster aperture, and higher resolution. Xiaomi refers to the phone as “Night God” to highlight its low-light photography capabilities. The other three cameras are 50MP each, with minor adjustments from the 14 Ultra. Notably, the main camera now has a fixed f/1.63 aperture, replacing the variable aperture from the previous model.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Design and Display

Additionally, the third-generation Photography Kit, an optional accessory, includes a case and a camera grip. It features a new red finish, a larger 2,000mAh battery that doubles as a power bank, and retains the same controls: shutter button, video button, zoom lever, and exposure dial.

Display and Design

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra continues to boast a sturdy build with the profound camera module. The quad curved aluminum frame adds more to ergonomics for a proper flagship hands-on feel. Likewise, it features a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The design incorporates Xiaomi’s Guardian Structure with Gorilla Glass 7i protection, an aerospace-graded glass fiber back plate.  and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Performance and Software

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Compared to its predecessor, the 8 Elite has a significant performance margin. However, if you do not care about playing high-performance requiring games, the performance might just even be an overkill. Meanwhile, it runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15. The device includes a 3D dual-channel cooling system.

Snapdragon 8 Elite

In addition, Xiaomi has bought various AI features in its system. Xiaomi’s HyperAI features include a Creative Assistant and a Productivity Assistant. The Creative Assistant enables object removal, sky and reflection enhancement, blur reduction, and AI-driven image and video editing. The Productivity Assistant provides context recognition for tasks such as text, translation, and search, along with voice recognition for transcription and instant translation. It utilizes Google Gemini Nano 2 and Google Circle-to-Search for functionality.

Battery and Charging

It houses a 5410mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. It also offers 18W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi claims the battery retains 80% capacity after four years of use. The phone supports dual SIM, Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1.

Acer is entering the smartphone world this March 25!

When we hear the names Asus and Lenovo, the first thing that usually comes to mind is their range of laptops. However, these companies are into manufacturing smartphones as well. Giving this trend a continuity, Acer (a well-known laptop brand) is soon joining the world of smartphones. Yes, Acer is launching a phone! Let’s get into the depth of this news.

Here’s everything we know

Even though we know Acer is launching a phone, we are still unaware of the specifications it will carry. But one thing for sure is this new device will be launched this March 25 in India. We got to know this because the company has set up a promotional page on Amazon.in, featuring the tagline “The Next Horizon,”. However, the teaser offers no clues about the name or the number of smartphones that Acer plans to unveil during the event.

Partnership with Indkal

This does not come all of a sudden. Back in July 2024, Indkal Technologies announced a partnership with Acer to bring Acer-branded smartphones to India. Initially, the phone was planned for a 2024 release, but due to some reasons, the idea got rescheduled. After a year, the company is finally preparing to make its official announcement in the coming weeks. Moreover, the same partnership with Indkal Technologies also suggests that this handset from Acer will be priced between INR 15,000 and INR 50,000. This means that the company is targeting both the budget and premium midrange lineups.

Acer’s Acerpure brand

Back in January, two models of Acer branded smartphones, named Acerone Liquid S162E4 and Acerone Liquid S272E4, were listed on Acer India’s official website under the Acerpure brand.

Image: Acerpure

The listings mention features like a MediaTek Helio P35 processor, a 5,000mAh battery, an HD+ display, up to a 20MP camera, 4G support, and Android 14. There are no clues that tell us that this is the phone launching on March 25, but maybe….maybe it is. Looks like we will have to wait a few more days to know the real story.

Lenovo LOQ 15 Review (2024):

First, let me quickly clear some doubts you might have, although this LOQ has a 12th gen Intel processor, it’s a 2024 unit, alright! Lenovo actually announced three different ‘Intel’ models as a part of their 2024 lineup of the LOQ 15: 15IRX9, 15IAX9I, 15IAX9. The first one ships with newer 13th and 14th gen Intel processors while the latter two get older 12th gen chips. You are better off skipping the 15IAX9I entirely since it has a weak Intel Arc A530M GPU which leaves you with either the 15IRX9 or 15IAX9. Both of them are good choices, but the former gives you more choices in terms of configuration.

Enough of all that, all you needed to know from that confusing looking paragraph is that this is indeed a 2024 machine despite having an old processor.

Design and Build

  • 1359.86 x 258.7 x 21.9-23.9 mm, 2.38 kg
  • PC-ABS material (top, bottom)

In terms of design, Lenovo has gone ahead and smoothened out the kinks of the 2023 edition. The toy-esque blue plastic at the back is gone, now replaced by a subtler grey panel. The design is more streamlined, camouflages in professional settings easier, and sticks out less.

Lenovo LOQ 15 2024 i5 12450HX RTX 4050 Review - Design 1

Besides that change, the exhaust is at the back now with a few ports on the right side and none on the left at all. The overall build is still solid with no deck flex at all while the screen can wobble a bit at times.

Display

  • 15.6″ anti-glare non-touch FHD IPS panel
  • 144Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB gamut
  • G-SYNC, FreeSync, Advanced Optimus, MUX Switch

Moving on to the display, the LOQ has a relatively speedy 144Hz IPS screen that sports your typical 1920x1080p resolution. Unfortunately, you cannot go for a faster or higher res unit for this particular model, but the paper numbers are quite alright (actually pretty sweet) for a budget gamer.

Lenovo LOQ 15 2024 i5 12450HX RTX 4050 Review - Display 1

When I tested the panel, I got a pretty nice 99% of the sRGB gamut, with good Gamma, and satisfactory brightness levels! That’s a rare find in this segment (1-1.2 lakh NPR) so it definitely puts the LOQ into spotlight among a sea of washed-out screens!

The bezels are a bit thick-ish towards the bottom and it kinda wobbles a bit from time to time, but I’d be judging it very harshly if I said the display was anything other than excellent for gaming at this price!

LOQ 15 2024 Review - Display Color Coverage and Brightness

Keyboard

  • Full-size keys with Numpad
  • Single zone backlighting (white)

Now, let me tell you about a MAJOR gripe I have with my LOQ 15 and it’s this keyboard: its layout to be precise. You see, in Nepal, the LOQ 15IAX9 is generally only available with a UK key-layout which means jumbled up symbols and split keys.

Lenovo LOQ 15 2024 i5 12450HX RTX 4050 Review - Key Layout

I had a bad bad time missing my Shifts and Enters when cranking up articles for the first time, so I came up with this simple 3 step solution:

  1. Set your ‘Preferred Language’ to English (United States) (to get the US layout)
  2. Install Microsoft PowerToys (to remap keys)
  3. Remap your (| \)-looking key to Shift and (~ #)-looking key to Enter!

Voila! Now, you can type like you normally do but there’s a slight caveat. You see touch typers like me can type without looking down for individual keys, so what’s actually printed there doesn’t bother me. But if you’re someone who likes to hunt and peck, then using a US layout for a UK keyboard might get frustrating. Try finding ‘@’ for your next email and you’ll soon realise that maybe getting used to a new layout isn’t that bad.

With all that out of the way, the keys themselves are pretty nice on the LOQ with good feedback and spacing. I would rank them a tad higher than the Nitro Vs and Victuses of the world, but Lenovo could still improve in the fit and feel department. Oh, and there’s a white backlight too alongside a dedicated numpad but that’s expected. Maybe some RGB flair would help elevate it to the next level.

Trackpad

  • Plastic trackpad with integrated left/right keys

I actually quite liked the trackpad on the LOQ 2024. Lenovo’s following ‘if it’s not broke, don’t fix it’ mantra here, so pretty much last year’s trackpad in a new chassis. It’s centered to the spacebar so there’s more room for those full-sized arrow keys on the right and just out of the way to prevent accidental touches. Pretty good for browsing around the internet or navigating the OS, but it’s not glass topped or anything and the clicks are also just a-okay!.

Speakers and Webcam

  • 2x 2W speakers (downfiring), Nahimic Gaming Audio
  • HD (720p) camera, Electronic privacy shutter

Speakers and webcam are definitely not the strong suit of the LOQ 15. The down-firing set of stereo speakers aren’t very loud or full but they’ll get you through your Youtube needs just fine. The HD webcam spews dark and noisy images, but getting through your occasional zoom meetings won’t be a problem as well. I just wished these compromises didn’t exist at all, but they are not deal breakers when I am looking for an affordable PC to game on.

Performance

  • Intel Core i5-12450HX CPU (55-157W base power)
  • NVIDIA RTX 4050 (105W, 6GB GDDR6 VRAM)
  • 24GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD

So, let’s get to the meaty part! The PERFORMANCE on the LOQ 15.

As you can see, the 12450HX is a ’12th’ gen Intel processor, an old soul as they say, but it’s still a relatively apt performer in 2025!

I ran some Geekbench and Cinebench CPU benchmarks and here’s how it stacks up against the competition. Not topping the charts for sure, but the multiple cores and high power intake do help keep things competitive.

LOQ 15 (i5 12450hx, rtx 4050) Review -Geekbench 6 CPU comparision

But the GPU is where this LOQ really shines! For context, I have also added gaming results from a cheaper gaming laptop with RTX 3050 graphics that retails for around 1 lakh rupees just to show you how much more you’re actually getting paying a little extra!

So, let’s start strong with Forza Horizon 5 and Red Dead Redemption II, where I was getting good average FPS numbers with stable 1% lows. Note that I played Forza on the “Extreme” preset for comparison reasons, but dialing it back down to ‘High’ will give you well above 60FPS for a super smooth gameplay. In Red Dead Redemption II with all the settings on ‘High’, the average FPS hovered around ~85ish with a 1% low of 66 FPS. There were barely any noticeable frame drops and I didn’t notice the LOQ getting uncomfortably hot or anything.

Since the 12450HX is not the strongest, performance in Counter Strike 2 left a little to be desired, but I’d recommend going for ‘Low’ settings in First-Person-Shooters anyway, and with that you are probably looking around that ~150FPS mark. Finally in Cyberpunk 2077 with vanilla settings (no RT, no Upscaling), the average FPS shot up to the 90s with a 1% low of over 40 FPS.

Basically, it’s SUPER WORTH IT to spend that extra 10-15k rupees to get this 4050 LOQ over a 3050 gaming laptop as you’ll get much better FPS numbers as you can see in the charts above. But, there’s another reason too. FRAME GEN!

If you’re unfamiliar, this tech is exclusive to NVIDIA’s 40 series and above and generates AI frames in between rendered ones to boost overall FPS numbers. With this in the field, the difference between the two laptops is night and day!

LOQ i5 4050 vs Nitro V Ryzen 4 RTX 3050 comparision

Memory

One of the other reasons I liked this particular configuration so much is because of the generous amount of memory it offers. There are dual 12 gig DDR5-4800 sticks inside for a total of 24GB of system RAM while the 512GB NVME SSD is also wicked fast for the price.

I mean just look at the read speed on this thing, no wonder loading applications and games feel like a breeze.

Moreover, there’s an empty M.2 slot for a 2280 SSD so you could easily expand the storage as your game library grows in the future.

Not for just Gamers

Given the color accurate screen, powerful processors, and affordable asking price, this LOQ makes a good proposition to more than just COD fans. I’d say it’s a damn good option if you want an entry level editing rig or want to dip toes in 3D animation. Even for students that need to run simulations or crank up a render in AutoCAD, this LOQ is good for all of it. The fans don’t ramp up unless they need to and I never had a problem with excessive heating as well.

LO15 15 2024 i5 12450HX RTX 4050 Review - Video Editing

Battery

  • 60 Watt-hour Li-Po battery
  • 170W AC power adapter

Having such powerful components inside drains the battery quite a lot in the default configuration. But I got a workable 5+ hours by disabling the dGPU, setting refresh rate to 60Hz, and lowering the brightness to 50%. In our continuous video playback test, this LOQ lasted around 8 hours in total. So, overall not as good as some Ryzen equipped gaming laptops with larger batteries, but still decent enough to use as a university or work computer. On purchase, you might get either a smaller 135W adapter or a 175W but try to negotiate with the seller to get the higher rated one as 135W just won’t cut it for this particular configuration.

Lenovo LOQ 15 Review (2024): Conclusion

Overall, the i5-12450HX, RTX 4050 equipped LOQ is the best laptop you can get at NPR 114,999 today. It’s got a powerful processor, a fast and accurate screen, and optimized thermals. While the speakers and webcam might not be particularly impressive, the value for money is there for anyone seeking their next college computer (looking at you engineering undergrads) or an affordable gaming rig!

It even made it to our best laptops list back in 2024:

Samsung’s Project Moohan will give a tough time to Vision Pro

Apple Vision Pro was definitely a groundbreaking innovation, I would say. With that, it was pretty obvious that Samsung would have to come up with something even better to compete. Enter Project Moohan, Samsung’s mixed reality headset. According to the latest leaks, this new headset might outdo Apple’s Vision Pro, which already boasts an impressive 2MP per eye display. Exciting, right? Let’s break it down.

Project Moohan Overview

We were expecting Samsung to reveal something about Project Moohan at MWC 2025; sadly, the company said nothing. But there are a few things we know about this project recently.

What’s the fuss about?

What sets Samsung apart from everyone is that the Project Moohan will come with a 1.35-inch micro-OLED display boasting a staggering 3,800 pixels per inch resolution. That’s a major leap compared to Vision Pro’s 2MP per eye. The screen specs seem pretty close to Sony’s SRH-S1, which has a 3,552 x 3,840 resolution, 1000-nits brightness, 96% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.

Apple's Vision Pro

Moohan will also have a 4% better color accuracy than the Vison Pro. Moreover, it is going to use the OLED on Silicon (OLEDoS) tech, which is pretty next-gen too, as it applies micro-OLED elements directly to a silicon base. This will make for better overall quality, especially with brighter and more accurate colors. Samsung plans to ship 100,000 Moohan headsets to start, with cheaper models on the way down the line, potentially featuring 2.1-inch screens with a 1,700 ppi pixel density.

When will it be available?

This is where things get a little vague. According to reports, Sony is starting to mass-produce OLEDOs panels ( I mentioned above), which will then ship to Samsung. So, there is a lot of work to be done, which means we won’t get to see Project Moohan anytime soon. There were earlier rumors that Samsung wanted to launch the headset in 2023, but those plans apparently got delayed once they saw how the Vision Pro performed. We’ll probably have to wait until the next Galaxy Unpacked event this summer for Samsung to drop more details. But one thing’s for sure that this XR headset is going to be a serious contender for Apple’s Vision Pro. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!

Honor Magic V4 could be the thinnest foldable phone with 200MP zoom lens

Honor has made quite a name for itself in the foldable market with its V series. After the success of the Magic V1, V2, and V3, the company is gearing up for the release of the Magic V4. Let’s dive into what we know about the upcoming device.

Honor Magic V4 Rumor Overview

Honor’s Magic V3 held the title of the thinnest book-style foldable phone previously, but Oppo recently took that crown with the Find N5 last month. However, Honor is expected to take that title back with the Magic V4, which is rumored to launch this June. Though this leak doesn’t specifically mention the name, everything suggests it is the Magic V4.

Honor Magic V4 Rumored Specs

Design and Display

The Magic V4 is expected to be super sleek, under 9mm thin when folded, matching or even surpassing the Find N5’s slimness. The inner display will be an 8-inch LTPO screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution for smooth visuals. The cover screen will also be of the same panel and refresh rate and measure 6.45 inches. For durability, the device will have an IPX8 waterproof rating, and for added security, it will sport a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display one.

Performance and Battery

Rumor has it that the Magic V4 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset (full-core version) instead of the seven-core version used in the Oppo Find N5. In terms of battery, Honor is expected to push the Magic V4’s capacity to 6,000 mAh, which could set a new benchmark for foldable phones. Foldable devices often struggle in the battery department compared to regular smartphones. So we hope Honor shows its charm and changes its record.

Snapdragon 8 Elite

Camera and Features

For photography, the Magic V4 will come with a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.5’’ sensor. The standout upgrade is a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 1/1.4’’ sensor, which is definitely a big leap from the 50MP zoom lens on the Magic V3. There’s likely another sensor in the mix, but we are not sure about the details. Other rumored features include wireless charging and satellite communication support.

Honor Magic V4 Expected Specifications

  • Design: Sleek, foldable, and slim
  • Display:
    • 8-inch LTPO inner display, 120Hz, 2K resolution
    • 6.45-inch LTPO cover display, 120Hz
  • Protection: IPX8 waterproof rating
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite (full-core version)

HONOR shakes Up MWC 2025 with AI Plans and so much more

0
HONOR splashed at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, making a bold AI strategy and new devices. This article will discuss everything about the latest Honor Alpha Plan and what went down.

HONOR ALPHA PLAN Overview

honor alpha plan

HONOR kicked things off with the HONOR ALPHA PLAN, a three-step strategy to become a top player in AI device ecosystems. It’s a big shift from just making smartphones. They’re putting $10 billion into this over the next five years and teaming up with companies like Qualcomm and Google Cloud. The plan starts with smarter phones, moves to physical AI devices, and ends with a push into the AGI era. Each step builds on the last, aiming to change how tech fits into our lives.

Step 1: Smartphones with AI Agents

The first part focuses on phones that do more on their own. HONOR wants to add AI agents that can handle tasks like booking a restaurant by checking your calendar and traffic. In addition, they’re rolling out features like AiMAGE to boost camera quality. This sets the stage for a more connected device lineup.

Step 2: Physical AI Devices

Next, HONOR plans to branch out into physical AI gear. Think robots or other smart devices that go beyond phones. Furthermore, they aim to work with others in the industry to create a new standard for AI ecosystems. It’s about opening up new possibilities for tech.

Step 3: AGI Era

The final step is all about the artificial general intelligence (AGI) era. HONOR wants to help shape a new tech paradigm that could impact society on a big scale. For example, they see this as a way to unlock human potential through AI. It’s a long-term vision with a lot riding on it.

HONOR ALPHA PLAN launch date

HONOR also showed off some new devices to back up their AI focus. The HONOR MagicBook Pro 14 is a laptop with long battery life and a vine-leaf curved design. Additionally, the HONOR Pad V9 is a tablet with an 11.5-inch display and MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Elite for work or study. The HONOR Watch 5 Ultra offers 15 days of battery life and tracks fitness. Meanwhile, the HONOR Earbuds Open bring real-time translation to the table.
