boAt partners with Dolby Audio for its Airdopes 800 earbuds

boAt launched the Airdopes Supreme a few months back, offering a spatial audio feature. Now the Indian company is adding another member to its Airdopes series, this time with Dolby Audio. In this article, we will discuss the boAt Airdopes 800 in further detail including its price in Nepal.

boAt Airdopes 800 Overview

Design and Audio

These new earbuds come in an in-ear fit with silicone tips and feature flat-edged stems. Furthermore, the grooves on the stem are also quite edgy. Meanwhile, the charging case of the boAt Airdopes 800 is boxy and resembles a suitcase. These earbuds are available in four shades: Black, Blue, Green, and White. The company has hooked the word “Interstellar” at the front of all these colour options.

boAt Airdopes 800 Colours

The main highlighting feature of the boAt Airdopes 800 is surely its audio. These earbuds can offer Surround Sound powered by Dolby Audio which allows for an immersive experience when watching a movie or a series. Additionally, the brand says these earbuds are the “first-in-segment” to offer Dolby Audio and rely on high-fidelity 10mm titanium drivers. Other than that, you get a quad-mic setup in here offering AI ENC during calls that cut down sounds below 85dB in loudness.

Features and Battery

The boAt Airdopes 800 is equipped with Bluetooth for wireless connectivity with your devices, however, the company does not mention the version of it. Regardless of that, these earbuds are capable of Multi-point connectivity wherein they can be connected to two devices at once. Moreover, a smart algorithm facilitates effortless toggling between the connected devices. In the meantime, they also come with a 50ms low-latency mode for gaming and offer audio customisation through Adaptive EQ with the boAt Hearable app.

boAt Airdopes 800 Charging

Moving on to the battery on the Airdopes 800, boAt does not state the cell capacity either. Nevertheless, they do claim that their latest earbuds can offer you 40 hours of combined playtime. Lastly, these earbuds also support fast charging where plugging them in for just five minutes can give you 100 minutes of playback in return.

Vivo just added an “s” entry to its X100 series, and it’s as powerful as ever

Vivo just loves to confuse us with the naming of its devices. Its affordable entries and their names are quite convoluted, and the flagship section is following suit with the X100 series. Too many entries! Anyway, Vivo just launched the X100s and let’s discuss everything about it including its expected price in Nepal.

Vivo X100s Overview

Design and Display

The Vivo X100s has the same design blueprint as the rest of its siblings. That being said, it comes with a curved back while the frames and the screen are flat. The phone’s chassis is made of aluminium while the back is made of glass. Additionally, the Vivo X100s is available in four colour options: three in a monotone grey, white, and black finish and the last one in a blue shade with wavy patterns.

On the front, this latest phone unsurprisingly features an AMOLED panel that stretches 6.78 inches. The resolution and refresh rate on this thing is 2,800 x 1,260 pixels and 120Hz respectively. As I mentioned earlier, the screen on the Vivo X100s is flat which is distinctly unique to it as other members of its series sport a curved screen.

Performance

This Vivo X100s packs the recently launched MediaTek flagship processor i.e. Dimensity 9300+. This chipset is all about performance as there are no efficiency cores in this processor. It comes with four ARM Cortex-X4, and A720 cores each, clocks in at a peak frequency of 3.4GHz, and follows third-generation TSMC 4nm fabrication.

Dimensity 9300 plus chipset

In addition to that, the Vivo X100s features an LPDDR5x memory and UFS 4.0 storage. The storage and RAM come in four combos. Those being, 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB.

Camera and the rest

The cameras on this Vivo X100s continue to be in a partnership with Zeiss as it features T* coating from the German company. This is an anti-reflective coating that allows for maximum light transmission while reducing lens glares. Meanwhile, the sensors themselves are 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 64MP 3x periscope respectively while the selfie camera on here is a 32MP unit. Furthermore, the main and portrait shooters are OIS-ready too.

Vivo X100s Camera

The Vivo X100s draws its power from a 5,100 mAh battery with 100W wired charging capability. This phone — unlike its other compatriots — does not accept wireless charging. Other than that, it features an optical fingerprint sensor underneath the screen for biometric security.

Vivo X100s Specifications

  • Design: Flat screen, flat aluminium edges, and curved glass back
  • Dimensions: 163.12 mm x 75.78 mm x 7.80 mm

Vivo X100 Ultra launched as a camera power house smartphone

0

The previously released flagship, Vivo X100 Pro, ranked 10th in DXOMARK’s Smartphone camera ranking and boasted one of the best (smartphone) portrait cameras, if not the best. And if that was not enough, Vivo has thrown another hat in the ring with the Vivo X100 Ultra, alongside Vivo X100s and X100s Pro. In this article, we’ll walk through the specs, features, and expected price of the Vivo X100 Ultra in Nepal.

Vivo X100 Ultra Overview

A 200MP Periscope Camera

The Vivo X100 Ultra brings a major change to the periscope camera if you compare it to the regular X100. It is now a 200MP resolution APO beast with 3.7K optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.

Vivo X100 Ultra Camera Specs

Other than that, you get a 50MP 1-inch main Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor with CIPA 4.5 gimbal level stabilization. Last but not least is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide unit. Vivo’s custom V3+ imaging chip powers all this stellar camera setup. Plus, there is the industry’s first Zeiss T* GLC nano-coating. Which makes it a beast of a camera phone.

Performance

While the X100 Pro featured the Dimensity 9300 chipset, Vivo has opted for a Qualcomm chipset for the Ultra. No prize for guessing, it’s the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This 4nm fabbed SoC has a prime Cortex-X4 core at 3300 MHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3150 MHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2960 MHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores at 2270 MHz.\

Snapdragon 8 gen 3

It is paired with 12/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Likewise, booting the smartphone is Android-14 based Origin OS 4.

Design and Display

In terms of design, the Vivo X100 Ultra takes a lot of cues from its X100 Pro sibling. You get the large circular camera module protruding from the rear. The slightly curved aluminum frame is also here alongside the IP68 rating.

Vivo X100 Ultra Design and Display

As for the display, it boasts a Quad HD+ 6.78-inch E7 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution (3200x 1440 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Other features include 1440Hz PWM dimming, 3000nits of peak brightness, P3 color gamut, and 517PPI of pixel density.

Battery and Others

The Vivo X100 Ultra is powered by a 5500mAh battery, backed up by 80W wired charging and 30W wireless charging support. Connectivity features here include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

A new Dell XPS 13 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X is coming

The Dell XPS 13 is a staple laptop under the company’s belt which received a 2024 update back in January. Now it appears the company is working on a new iteration of the laptop and will be collaborating with Qualcomm this time around. Let’s discuss more on the upcoming laptop that’s seemingly dubbed the “Dell XPS 13 9345” in this article.

    Dell XPS 13 9345 Rumours Round-up

Before we get into the nitty-gritty of this laptop, I would like to give a shoutout to the Windows Report. All that we know about the laptop is all thanks to them.

    Naming

Let’s start things plain and simple with the naming… or should I say numbering? As I mentioned earlier, Dell recently updated the XPS 13 series for this year. While doing so the company dropped the “Plus” from its name, switching things up from the prior version and hooked the code number “9340” at last.

Dell XPS 13 9340 (2024) Design and Display
    Dell XPS 13 9340

Similarly, the new edition of the laptop will supposedly continue the trend and go with the namesake “Dell XPS 13” and take the numbering up to “9345”.

    Processor

The main highlight of the Dell XPS 13 9345 is surely its processor. The world of laptops is highly saturated with any given laptop having different choices of hardware. Matter of fact, laptops with the same name could pack an entirely different silicon underneath. When that’s the case, manufacturers usually attach code numbers — that are slightly different from one another — behind the laptop name to tell the variants apart.

Likewise, in this case, the Dell XPS 13 “9345” has a code that is just one digit off from the previous “9340”. Based on that, we can guess the upcoming iteration of the laptop will not have an Intel processor powering it. So, which one will it be? The rumours hint it to be a Qualcomm platform. However, it is unclear specifically which one of the American-foundry’s offerings will Dell go with for its new laptop.

    Snapdragon X

    Qualcomm Snapdragon X

There are four different options within the Snapdragon X family and the Dell XPS 13 9345 could go with any or all of them. Three of these processors sit under the Snapdragon X Elite series while the last remaining one goes by the name of Snapdragon X Plus. Either way, these chips are well-equipped with AI capabilities and are within the competing territory of Intel, AMD and even Apple silicon in terms of raw performance speed.

    What else?

Other than that, it appears that the Dell XPS 13 9345 does not veer from its Intel siblings all too much. We have the leaked images of the laptop, and it is safe to say that they look the same. It will continue to have the iconic seamless trackpad and function keys with touch control. Meanwhile, the laptop is rumoured to sport an all-new “Copilot key” that allows the user to easily tap into its AI prowess.

Talking of the Copilot, it demands that the device have a minimum of 16GB memory to operate. Hence, the Dell XPS 13 9345 will definitely ship with the RAM of the same and higher capacity. Furthermore, we can expect it to walk the same road as its 9340 compatriots in terms of other specifications. Given that, it should come with either an IPS or OLED screen option with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, 512GB+ storage, and a 55Wh integrated battery.

Dell XPS 13 9345 Price and Availability

While all the buzz is going around, when will the thing actually launch? And what is the asking price? Well… there is no concrete announcement so far. The source says that the laptop will make its way to the market around August or September.

In the meantime, we expect the Dell XPS 13 9345 to have a similar price as the 9340 variants. Maybe even slightly cheaper, since it will likely sport a new chip that just made it into the market. So, we are looking at something around USD 1,299 or lower.

Lastly, before parting ways, I would like to remind you that all the things I’ve mentioned so far are merely rumours and may or may not come to fruition.

Oppo A76 Price in Nepal [Updated]

    1

In this article, we will discuss the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Oppo A76 in Nepal.

    Oppo A76 Overview:

    Design and Display

Oppo A76 is a follow-up to last year’s A74 4G. The phone features a 90Hz screen, which is marginally bigger than its predecessor at 6.56-inch. However, it is an HD IPS panel, which is a bummer given how other brands offer FHD resolution in the same price range. The Redmi Note 11 even offers a 90Hz AMOLED screen at a cheaper price.

Oppo A76 Design and DisplayMoreover, the phone is 8.39mm thick and weighs around 189 grams. The camera island has gone through a visual redesign, and it now houses a dual-camera setup. Users can choose between two “Glowing” colors — Black and Blue.

    Performance and Memory

Over on the inside, Oppo has replaced the Snapdragon 662 on the A74 for the Snapdragon 680 on the A76. It is the same that we can find in popular mid-range phones like Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i. It is based on a power-efficient 6nm process.

The phone comes in a single memory configuration of 6/128GB. Users can add 5GB of virtual RAM, but there is no microSD card slot for storage expansion.

    Camera

In terms of photography, the Oppo A76 has a dual-camera setup at the back—that’s one less than that of the A74. Likewise, the primary camera has been downgraded from 48MP to 13MP. Accompanying it is a 2MP monochrome sensor. Over on the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter.

    Rest of the Specs

Fueling the phone is a 5,000mAh sensor, which should give a pretty good battery life when coupled with a power-efficient chip like the Snapdragon 680. There is also support for 33W fast charging. The phone boots on Android 11 with Oppo’s ColorOS 11 on top.

    Sony FX3 Price in Nepal

    0

Sony added to its Cine Line of cameras with the FX3 a few years ago. What Sony has done here is cramp features from its Cinema lineup to a smaller body. The camera itself looks to be based on the A7s III. In this post, we will be taking a look at the specs, features, price, and availability of the Sony FX3 in Nepal.

    Sony FX3 Overview:

    Design, Sensor, and Image Processing

Starting with the body, the Sony FX3 has a magnesium alloy chassis. Sony has adopted a dust and moisture-proof design except for the XLR handle. The camera measures 77.8mm x 129.7mm x 84.5mm and weighs around 715 grams.

Sony FX3 DesignHere, the Sony FX3 features a full-frame back-illuminated Exmor CMOS sensor. The effective pixel count for video and still images is 10.2MP and 12.1MP, respectively. It is paired with BIONZ XR image processing. The standard ISO range is between 80 and 102,400. However, it can be expanded to up to 409,600 in shooting mode. Similarly, the dynamic range is 15+ stops wide.

    S-Cinetone

This camera comes with the S-Cinetone color matrix. It allows users to create cinematic content without having to go through post-production. The features itself have been derived from flagship VENICE camera and thus deliver natural mid-tones, soft colors, and smooth highlights.

    AutoFocus

Likewise, the FX3 has a maximum of 627 points for its Hybrid autofocus. But it will vary depending on the shooting mode. The Touch Tracking feature allows users to select the subjects to be focused on and tracked. Similarly, the company has also improved Real-time Eye AF, AF Transition Speed, and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity based on the users’ feedback.

    Image Stabilization

Sony FX3 has a 5-axis optical in-body image stabilization. There is also a dedicated Active Mode for movie shooting. However, it results in a cropped image and cannot be used while recording videos at 120fps and higher. Users can also use the stabilization metadata to adjust images during post-production using certain tools.

    Controls

Frequently used controls like ISO, IRIS, and white balance are placed on the grip and on the top of the camera. In addition to this, the camera has 15 custom keys that you can assign to 140 functions based on your preference.

    Sony FX3 Controls

The zoom lever on the top of the grip allows the use of Clear Image Zoom even with unpowered zoom and prime lenses. Recording lamps are on different parts of the body. There is also a touch-enabled LCD monitor.

    Rest of the features

Sony FX3 also comes with an active cooling system. The company has included a fan and a heat dissipation system in the camera so that users can keep recording 4K 60p videos without thermal shutdown. The bottom panel draws air from the surrounding which exits from the side. Similarly, the USB-C port on the camera supports PD fast charging. The FX3 has two media slots that support CFexpress and SDXC cards. Other connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, wired LAN, image transfer via FTP servers, and so on.

Oppo F21 Pro Price in Nepal [Updated]

    0

Oppo launched the F21 Pro (4G / 5G) in India back in April 2022. The 4G variant was subsequently introduced in Nepal in August. And the phone has now received its second price cut in Nepal. In this article, we will be discussing the specs, features, latest price, and availability of the Oppo F21 Pro Series (F21 Pro, F21 Pro 5G) in Nepal.

    Oppo F21 Pro Series Overview:

To note, only the F21 Pro 4G version with Snapdragon 680 was launched in Nepal.

    Performance and Memory

The most notable difference between the Oppo F21 and its Pro sibling lies in the chipset. The vanilla F21 Pro is powered by the new Snapdragon 680 processor while the Pro 5G gets the Snapdragon 695 treatment instead. Chipset aside, the F21 Pro series is available in a single memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

    Camera

Furthermore, the camera setup across the two devices is not exactly the same, though they do share some common elements. Both F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G have a triple camera setup led by a 64MP primary and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

In addition, F21 Pro features a 2MP microscope camera while it is replaced by a macro lens on the 5G model. Similarly, for selfies, F21 Pro uses a 32MP sensor, whereas the F21 Pro 5G settles with a 16MP lens.

Oppo F21 Pro has a single orbit light around the sensor for notification. The 5G variant has an additional orbit light around the main sensor. These lights glow up to notify users of the notification.

    Design and Display

Interestingly, the vanilla F21 Pro has an edge over its Pro sibling in the display department. While both of them feature a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, the F21 Pro 4G stands out because of the 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. These two are missing on the 5G variant.

Otherwise, the F21 Pro series boasts a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a left-aligned punch-hole camera cutout.

Over on the back, F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G come with a new re-designed camera bump. Cosmic Black color option is common across the two models, but Rainbow Spectrum and Sunset Orange are exclusive to the F21 Pro 5G and F21 Pro, respectively. The thing to note here is that the Sunset Orange variant has a fiberglass leather back.

    Rest of the Specs

Fueling the Oppo F21 Pro series is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The phones can go from 0 to 100% in just 63 minutes with a compatible charger.
