Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 launched with edge-to-edge FlexWindow

Samsung just dropped three new foldables at Galaxy Unpacked 2025 — the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE. We have already discussed the other two smartphones in a separate article, hence,  the Z Flip7 is the real star of this article, which also now comes with a massive cover screen upgrade and seriously thin profile. This article will discuss everything about the latest Galaxy Z Flip7, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Galaxy Z Flip7 Overview

Display and Design

Galaxy Z Flip7 Display and design

The biggest change? That FlexWindow is now huge. We’re talking 4.1 inches of edge-to-edge goodness, up from the tiny 3.4-inch screen on the Z Flip6. And the thing is, it’s not just bigger, but also way brighter now at 2,600 nits and supports 120Hz refresh rate just like the main display The main screen grew to 6.9 inches too, making it the largest ever on a Galaxy Z Flip. Both displays use Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED tech.

Design and Build

Design-wise, Samsung made this thing seriously thin. At 13.7mm when folded, it’s actually 1.2mm thinner than the Z Flip6. When unfolded, you’re looking at just 6.5mm thickness. They managed this by waterproofing the internal circuits instead of the whole chassis, which is pretty clever.

The whole thing feels solid despite being thinner. You’re getting Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the cover and back, plus an Armor Aluminum frame. The hinge is 30% smaller than before but supposedly more durable with high-strength materials. It’s still IP48 rated, so it can handle some water exposure but don’t take it swimming. At 188 grams, it’s actually lighter than you’d expect for a phone packing this much tech.

Performance and AI Features

At its core is the new Exynos 2500 processor (sadly no Snapdragon chip in here) built on 3nm tech. You’re getting 12GB of RAM across all models, which is a nice bump up. Plus, for the first time on a Z Flip, Samsung DeX is supported, so you can actually connect this to a monitor and use it like a computer.

Gemini Live also works directly on the FlexWindow, so you can ask questions without even opening the phone. There’s also this camera sharing feature where you can show Gemini what you’re looking at and get real-time advice.  The Now Bar shows real-time app activity right on the cover screen, and the clock actually adapts to your wallpaper by wrapping around faces or objects in the image.

Camera and Battery Upgrades

Galaxy Flip7 Display and design

Camera specs are basically the same as the Z Flip6, 50MP main shooter with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide. But Samsung improved the processing with their ProVisual Engine and Enhanced Nightography. You’re also getting 10-bit HDR video recording now.

The real win is selfie mode on the FlexWindow. Real-time filters, a zoom slider you can use one-handed, and Dual Preview so both you and your subject can see the shot. Portrait Studio can even turn your pet photos into cartoon-style shots.

Battery life was always the Z Flip’s weakness, but the 4,300mAh battery here is the largest ever in the series. Samsung claims 31 hours of video playback, which should easily get you through a full day of heavy use.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE also launched as an affordable option compared to the regular Z Flip7

Samsung just launched the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE alongside the premium Z Flip7 and Z Fold7, in a recent event held by the South Korean company. At a cheaper price compared to the  regular Z Flip7, still packs solid specs and the same camera system. This article will discuss everything about the latest Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Overview

Display and Design

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Design and Display

The Z Flip7 FE keeps the classic 3.4-inch cover screen from the Z Flip6 instead of upgrading to the massive 4.1-inch FlexWindow on the regular Z Flip7. You’re still getting a Super AMOLED panel, but it’s smaller at 720×748 resolution and lacks the edge-to-edge design.

The main display is 6.7 inches with Dynamic AMOLED 2X tech and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s slightly smaller than the Z Flip7’s 6.9-inch screen and uses a 22:9 aspect ratio instead of 21:9. Design-wise, it’s actually pretty similar to the regular Z Flip7. At 14.9mm when folded, it’s about 1.2mm thicker than the premium model, but you probably won’t notice the difference in daily use. When unfolded, it measures 6.9mm thick.

Build quality matches the premium model with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an Armor Aluminum frame. IP48 water resistance is there too, which isn’t that great, so you will have to bit careful while playing with water.

Performance and Software

Here’s where you see the cost savings. The Z Flip7 FE runs on the Exynos 2400 processor instead of the newer Exynos 2500 in the regular Z Flip7. You’re getting 8GB of RAM instead of 12GB, with storage options of 128GB or 256GB.

Performance should still be solid for most tasks, but don’t expect Samsung DeX support — that’s exclusive to the premium Z Flip7. The AI features are mostly the same though, including Now Brief for personalized updates on the cover screen and Galaxy AI integration. Both phones run Android 16 with One UI 8, so you’re getting the latest software experience with Knox security features.

Camera System

Samsung Galaxy Flip7 FE

Actually, this is where Samsung didn’t cut corners. The Z Flip7 FE has the exact same camera setup as both the Z Flip7 and Z Flip6 — a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide. The 10MP selfie camera is identical too.

You won’t get all the fancy AI camera features from the regular Z Flip7 though. The smaller cover screen means no advanced zoom slider or as many real-time filters. But FlexCam mode still works great for hands-free selfies and video calls.

Battery

The 4,000mAh battery is the same size as the Z Flip6, which is decent but the Z Flip7 features a slightly bigger unit at 4300 mAh. Still should get you through a full day of normal use. Charging is identical across both models — 25W wired, 15W wireless, and reverse wireless charging. The adapter isn’t included, so you’ll need to buy one separately.

So what are you missing vs Z Flip7?

The main differences are the smaller cover screen, older processor, less RAM, smaller battery, and no Samsung DeX support. You also get fewer color options — just Black and White instead of the four colors available on the Z Flip7. But honestly, if you’re not obsessed with having the latest specs, the Z Flip7 FE gives you 90% of the experience for significantly less money.

Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Specifications

  • Display: 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, 2640x1080px / 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen, 720x748px
  • Processor: Exynos 2400 with Mali-G715 MC11 GPU
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB or 256GB UFS 4.0

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 launched with AI health features and brighter display

Samsung has officially dropped the Galaxy Watch 8 at its Unpacked event, which now brings a thinner design, improved display, and new AI-powered health tracking tools. Preorders are live, and it’ll hit stores globally starting July 25. For the rest of details, let’s dive into this article to discuss everything about the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Overview

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 vs Watch 8 Classic vs Watch 8 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 vs Watch 8 Classic vs Watch 8 Ultra

The Galaxy Watch 8 is available in two sizes — 40mm and 44mm. It’s thinner than before, measuring about 11% less in thickness compared to the Watch 7. Samsung has also made the display 50% brighter. The overall design appears to be quite clean and minimal, built to sit flush under a sleeve.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Samsung also launched Watch 8 Classic and 8 Ultra as well. Compared to the Vanilla Watch 8, the Watch 8 Classic brings back the rotating bezel and a more traditional timepiece look.

Software and AI Features

It runs on One UI 8 Watch, which is based on Wear OS 6. The new software brings small but useful changes like grouped notifications and the Now Bar, which lets you jump back into an activity or media session quickly.

What sets the Watch 8 apart is the exclusive AI integration. Google Gemini is built-in for voice commands, but there’s more. You’re getting features like antioxidant detection, AI sleep coaching, real-time running assessments, and stress tracking during sleep. These AI tools are only available on the Watch 8 lineup and the Watch Ultra — older Galaxy watches won’t get them, even with updates.

Health and Fitness Tracking

Galaxy watch 8

Samsung is pushing health features further this year. The Watch 8 can estimate your antioxidant levels using a finger sensor — something that usually requires lab testing. It also tracks vascular load while you sleep, meaning it will give you insights on stress and recovery after a few nights of use.

Sleep tracking is more adaptive now, such that ideal sleep and wake times will be based on your habits. For runners, the watch provides a 12-minute assessment to rank your fitness level and then builds a custom training plan with coaching support during runs.

Battery and Connectivity

Battery life has been slightly improved with an 8% bump in capacity. One should expect around 30 hours with the always-on display and up to 40 hours without it. LTE variants are also available, which cost extra.

Galaxy Watch 8 Specifications

  • Display: 1.3/1.5-inch AMOLED (40mm / 44mm)
  • Battery: Up to 30 hrs (AOD on), up to 40 hrs (AOD off)
  • Software: One UI 8 Watch (Wear OS 6)
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, optional LTE
  • Health Tools: Antioxidant sensor, vascular load, sleep tracking, body composition, stress monitoring
  • AI Features: Google Gemini assistant, AI coaching (sleep and running), energy score
  • Sizes: 40mm / 44mm

OnePlus Nord 5 Review

Design

Let me first talk about what’s great here! And first of all, I really like this year’s design! I think they took the inspiration from Samsung’s Galaxy A56. Coz just look at the camera module of these two phones – they are almost identical!

OnePlus has also gone with a matte finish this time, which is quite the opposite of the Metal design we got on the Nord 4; nonetheless, it feels good in the hands. And despite having a massive 6800mAh battery, it doesn’t feel that heavy, and the weight distribution is nicely done, too.

The only compromise is that we don’t get proper IP68 or IP69 dust and water resistance here. Instead, we only get a modest IP65 rating here.

Display

On the front, the display experience of the Nord 5 is also outstanding, and it feels like I am actually using a flagship phone! First, it has a 144Hz refresh rate; hence, interacting with the UI is slightly smoother than a typical mid range phone.

Plus, as you can see, the bezels are almost non-existent. And this OLED panel is super colour accurate, it’s pretty bright, reaching 1400 nits in High-Brightness Mode, and you get HDR-10 support on both Netflix and Amazon Prime. Another thing I liked about this display is that it has a 3000 Hz touch sampling rate, which means that while playing games, it feels extremely responsive.

Speakers and Haptics

And I found its stereo speakers to be decently loud and clear, too. So, whether I’m listening to music or watching movies, this display definitely didn’t disappoint me.

By the way, OnePlus has also implemented O-Haptics here, similar to what we get on OnePlus and OPPO’s high-end phones. So, the vibration feedback on the Nord 5 has a nice tactile feel.

Performance

Likewise, the performance side of things is also well taken care of. It’s powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which, is significantly more powerful than most competitors like the Galaxy A56 and Nothing Phone 3(a) Pro.

Yes, phones like the OnePlus 13R for a slightly more price tag. But honestly, the 8s Gen 3 is still more than capable for most users and handles everything smoothly. Including Gaming!

Here, I could play PUBG effortlessly at 90fps without any noticeable lag. Lighter games like Mobile Legends and COD push a stable 120fps. Even Genshin Impact, one of the most GPU-heavy titles, ran impressively well, with the 5% low at a respectable 54fps.

OnePlus has also packed in a massive 7,300 mm² vapour chamber cooling system. And I didn’t face any overheating issues, even during longer gaming sessions or while using 5G data. If I had to nitpick, the only slight letdown is the use of UFS 3.1 storage. If I remember, last year’s Nord 4 had faster UFS 4.0 storage, so I don’t quite get this compromise.

Software and UI

Oneplus nord 5 Customization

Now, talking about the software experience, I know many reviewers complain a lot about OnePlus’s software experience! But after Samsung’s One UI and Nothing OS, OxygenOS is my favourite UI. It’s clean, mostly ad-free, and the animations feel superfluid. And OnePlus is promising 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patch, which is more than decent for this price.

And check this out—there’s even a button here, just like on the iPhone and the OnePlus 13s I reviewed recently. This button is a carbon copy of the iPhone, where you can customize to launch different apps or functions.

Battery Life

Battery life on the Nord 5 is also A+! It easily lasts 2 days if I am not pushing it too hard.

Charging is fast, too—thanks to the 80W VOOC charger we get inside the box [Full charge: 0 to 100% 55 minutes]. But as expected, there’s no wireless charging, and it only has a USB 2.0 Type-C port.

Camera

Oneplus Nord 5 Camera

Ok, let me now talk about the real compromise I found on the Nord 5, and you guessed it right – it’s the cameras! Here, OnePlus hasn’t gone for an extraordinary camera setup. We get a 50MP main camera – it’s the Sony LTY-700 sensor, then we have an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP selfie camera.

So overall, you won’t be getting a mind-blowing experience! It’s still better than something like the Poco F7, but it definitely falls behind phones like the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro and Realme 14 Pro+.

That said, the Nord 5’s camera is not bad, either. In good lighting conditions, I was able to get pretty decent shots! I actually went on a photo walk the other morning, and as you can see from the samples, some of the photos are pretty nice with good dynamic range and surprisingly good detail.

In some shots, I did feel like the contrast was a bit too much, and occasionally, the exposure or highlights got messed up. Plus, colours, especially reds, are sometimes overprocessed. But if you shoot in good lighting, you can definitely get results that you can share on your social media.

Portraits, in particular, come out really well. The skin tone looks natural, and the details are sharp, even in the 2X mode. I’ll drop the Google Drive link below so you can check out all the original quality samples.

Now, talking about the ultra-wide camera, I really expected OnePlus to step up and provide a higher-res lens, but with the 8MP sensor, let’s say it performs like something you’d expect from a phone under 20,000. Compared to the primary camera, its dynamic range is weak, and the details are very soft, especially during low light.

On the flip side, selfies have improved this time. The new 50MP sensor is quite wide and captures some really nice shots. No complaints here.

As for videography, I don’t have major complaints either. You can shoot up to 4K 60fps from both the main and selfie cameras, and the stabilisation, colour science, and dynamic range are all decent. However, just like with photos, the ultra-wide video isn’t that great.

OnePlus Nord 5 Review Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent display with flagship-level smoothness
  • Strong performance with great cooling
  • Good battery life with fast charging
  • Clean and fluid OxygenOS
  • Premium design and solid haptics

Cons:

  • Camera system is average, especially ultra-wide
  • No wireless charging or USB 3.0
  • IP65 rating only (not full water resistance)
  • UFS 3.1 instead of faster UFS 4.0

OnePlus Nord 5 Review Conclusion

Ok, I guess I have covered almost everything about the Nord 5! And like I said at the beginning of this video, I believe OnePlus has made the right compromises in the right areas! We get a smart, meaningful compromise, and it really shows here.

Just take a look at the scorecard: the Nord 5 earns a solid A in display, performance, software, and battery and a respectable B in the camera department.

Yes, you might find better camera performance for the money elsewhere. But what you won’t get is this level of refinement across the board. So yeah, the OnePlus Nord 5 might just be the best midrange phone. Right Now. In 2025.

Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G launched with budget-friendly Specs

Ai+ just dropped their first smartphones in India: the Pulse and Nova 5G. Both of these phones are particularly made to target the budget segment and a similar demographic in India. But it does come with decent specs and clean Android 15, for what you get around at this price range. Without further ado, lets dive in this article where we will discuss everything about the latest Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G, including their expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G Overview

Display and Design

AI plus nova and pulse price in Nepal

Both phones rock a 6.7-inch HD+ display, but there’s a key difference. The Pulse gets a 90Hz refresh rate while the Nova 5G bumps it up to 120Hz. Which, for budget phones,is actually pretty decent, because many companies are still stuck at 60Hz…

Moving on, design-wise, both devices follow a minimalist approach with clean lines and a premium feel despite the budget pricing. The Pulse measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 193g, while the Nova 5G is slightly thinner at 8.2mm but weighs a bit more at 196g. You’re definitely getting a sleek profile that certainly wouldn’t feel cheap in hand. Meanwhile, the rear camera module has a modern rectangular design with the Ai+ branding prominently displayed. Both phones come in multiple color options and feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Performance and Software

The Pulse runs on the Unisoc T615 octa-core processor with 4GB or 6GB RAM options. The Nova 5G steps up with the T8200 chip and comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM.

Both phones run NxtQuantum OS based on Android 15, which is built by nxtQ. The company promises zero bloatware and secure Indian data storage on MeitY-approved Google Cloud regions. Plus, you’re getting a zero-trust security framework.

Camera and Battery

Camera setup is identical on both phones , that is a 50MP rear camera with CIF and a 5MP front shooter. Nothing groundbreaking, but it should handle basic photography. Battery life looks solid with a 5000mAh cell in both devices. The charging is pretty basic at 10W, so you’ll need patience when plugging in.

Connectivity and Features

The Pulse sticks to dual 4G while the Nova 5G obviously gets dual 5G support. Both have dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack (which is nice to see). You’re also getting FM radio, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the usual sensors. The phones come with NxtPrivacy Dashboard, NxtSafe Space, and NxtMove App.

As you can see, it’s got quite a loud design language as well. Especially thanks to those colorful LED lights at the back, similar to what we’ve seen on Nothing phones. Display-wise, you’re looking at a big 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness.

It’s got a triple camera setup at the back, although that optically stabilized 108MP main sensor is the only one worth talking about. Whereas the Infinix GT 20 Pro gets its juice from a big 5000mAh battery that supports 45W charging.

13. Infinix GT 30 Pro

Following up with the success of last year’s GT 20 Pro, the new Infinix GT 30 Pro is now available in Nepal as well. And compared to its predecessor, it has a more powerful Dimensity 8350 Ultra (4nm) processor, a completely new design, and even a couple of shoulder triggers to really enhance your mobile gaming experience. And Infinix also says the L/R virtual triggers have a quick 520Hz response rate.

What’s interesting is that besides in-game controls, these can also launch different shortcuts like opening the camera app or controlling the media playback. The GT 30 Pro has a 13% larger vapor chamber for better heat dissipation, too. And since it also supports bypass charging, you can continue your gaming sessions without worrying about the phone heating up excessively.

Besides gaming, the Infinix GT 30 Pro carries a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, like last year. But this one’s protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i for a better peace of mind. Whereas Infinix has also bumped the IP rating from IP54 on the GT 20 Pro to IP64 this time. And we also that this thing now has an ultrawide camera and even wireless charging!
