Samsung launched the original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in 2020 and later reiterated it after two years. Now, they are once again updating this tablet for 2024. Words were already out that the upgrades on the latest iteration would be minimal. Let’s look deeper at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), including its expected price in Nepal.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) Overview
Design and Display
The tablet carries the same design as its previous versions. As such, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) comes in a metallic body with a matte finish. In the meantime, it has a squircle camera cutout on the top corner while the rest of the body has company branding and other texts. This tablet ships in three colours: Grey, Mint, and Pink.
Moving on to the screen, you get a TFT panel that stretches 10.4 inches diagonally. The screen on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is WUXGA+ in resolution with a colour depth of 16 million. Even though the company website does not mention this, we can still tell that the refresh rate on this thing will be 60Hz. Other than that, we do not have additional information on the screen capabilities.
Processor
Samsung does not mention outright the chipset the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is running on. However, they do specify that it is an octa-core processor with peak clock speeds of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz depending on the type of core. Based on that information, and preexisting rumour, the processor does indeed appear to be the Samsung Exynos 1280 chipset.
Previously, we got the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Comparing both the chipsetson Nanoreview, we can see that Samsung’s silicon is slightly better than the Snapdragon processor in almost all aspects. However, Exynos has issues of its own like not being well-optimised, heating, and such. Anyhoo, the South Korean tech giant is opting for its in-house chips as much as possible. So, it is what it is.
Besides that, you get 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage on this tablet. Moreover, you expand the storage up to 1TB with a MicroSD card.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) comes with an 8MP camera on the back while a 5MP shooter handles the front. Moreover, you get a 7,040 mAh battery in the tank. It also comes with a dual speaker setup with AKG Harman tuning for the audio. Additionally, you also get a 3.5mm headphone jack if you want to keep the audio to yourself.

Connectivity: 4G LTE (Optional), WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 2.0 Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack
Colour Options: Grey, Mint, Pink

After the launch of the boAt, another popular Indian accessory brand has stepped its foot in the Nepali market. It is none other than Noise, primarily known for its smartwatches but sells other smart wearables products as well. In this article, we will be discussing the specs, features, and official prices of Noise Accessories Nepal.
Noise Brand Overview:
As mentioned earlier, Noise is an accessory brand based in India. The company has a humble beginning tracing back to 2014. Two brothers, Amit, and Gaurav Khatri started Noise by selling smartphone covers. However, upon realizing the growing market for smartphone accessories, Noise expanded its portfolio to include smartwatches, TWS earbuds, and other smart wearables in 2018.
Even in a competitive market like India, Noise has been exceptionally well, especially in the smartwatch segment. It was announced as India’s number 1 smartwatch brand for the year 2021 by IDC, having reserved the top spot for seven consecutive quarters. Likewise, Counterpoint Research recognized Noise as the number 9 smartwatch brand globally in the same year.
Noise has now entered Nepal with Triveni Group as its authorized distributor in Nepal. Triveni is not a new player in the accessory market having handled Anker’s business across Nepal. In addition, it also looks after Vivo in the western part of Nepal.

Lava is here with a “new” phone, which as per the company is the “Real Fastest Phone in the Segment”. Keeping the marketing statement aside, this phone is a mere repackaging of the Lava Yuva 3 Pro at a slightly cheaper price. Anyhoo, let’s get into further details of the Lava O2 including its expected price in Nepal.
Lava O2 Overview
Design and Display
As I mentioned earlier, the Lava O2 is the same phone as the Lava Yuva 3 Pro. These two phones are similar down to the teeth. This stands true even in the phone’s design and colours. That being said, it comes in a flat design with the camera island covering the top corner on the back. Meanwhile, the back of this phone features an AG glass layering. The Lava O2 ships in Imperial Green, Majestic Purple, and Royal Gold colour options.
Moving on to the front, you get a 6.5-inch screen with an LCD panel. The display comes in HD+ resolution while offering a 90Hz refresh rate. Other than that, it is also capable of displaying 16 million colours.
Performance
Under the helm of Lava O2 is the UNISOC T616. This processor is over three years old at this point. Despite that, the company boasts that it outdoes the likes of the MediaTek Helio G36 and even the G85 by a respectable margin. However, AnTuTu scores don’t paint the entire picture. This is why you still cannot expect the phone to give you a great performance. Just enough to get you by, under normal usage.
Additional hardware on this phone includes an 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. This is on the lower end by 2024 standards, which is why you get expandability options on the Lava O2. This means that you can virtually double the RAM while the storage can be expanded up to 512GB with a MicroSD card. On the software front, the phone boots on Android 13 with no ads or bloatware.
The Lava O2 houses two cameras on the back, the primary of which is a 50MP sensor. Meanwhile, you also get a measly auxiliary unit that the company just labels “AI”. This suggests that this lens is nothing but a decor. On the other end, you get an 8MP shooter that also doubles down as a face scanner.
In the tank, this phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery while supporting 18W fast charging. It comes with dedicated slots for two SIM cards while offering 4G connectivity. Additionally, you also get dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 support. The Lava O2 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for further security. Lastly, it comes with the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other connectivity options include three Thunderbolt 4 ports, one SDXC card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Design, Display
Apple hasn’t made any significant design changes to the new model. That is, you get an aluminum body that is 8.71 inches thick and weighs around 1.6kg, which is nearly the same as its predecessor. There is no change in terms of the display either, with a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR screen and a resolution of 3024 x 1964 pixels.
The screen has a typical brightness of 1000 nits, which peaks at 1600 nits when watching HDR content. And, as expected, Apple has not missed out on the 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. Other display features include the standard 1-billion-color, P3 color gamut, and True Tone support.
Others
Furthermore, you get a 1080p webcam for video calls on the MacBook Pro 14 (2023). And it comes with a set of high-fidelity six-speaker sound systems for audio. When it comes to the battery, it is powered by a 70Wh Li-Po battery that can last up to 18 hours of movie playback. OnePlus launched the Ace 3 just a few months ago. With a few more phones up in their pipeline, they have introduced the OnePlus Ace 3V! This phone is a lower variant of the Ace 3 I mentioned earlier. That is not its highlighting feature though! Let’s just discuss the OnePlus Ace 3V in further detail including its expected price in Nepal, shall we?
OnePlus Ace 3V Overview
Design and Display
The OnePlus Ace 3V comes in a monotone design with 2.8D micro-arc curved glass on the back. This is just a fancy way of saying the phone’s back features a slightly curved glass. Other than that, it has a pill-shaped camera island aligned to the left side when facing it. Moreover, the OnePlus Ace 3V boasts IP65 dust and water resistance while shipping in Magic Purple Silver and Titanium Grey colour options.
On the front, you are getting a 6.74-inch AMOLED panel. It is a 2.5D screen, once again meaning, it is ever so slightly curved near the edges. Furthermore, it has a 1.5K resolution, and 450 PPI pixel density, while covering 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. Meanwhile, the refresh rate on this screen goes up to 120Hz and the brightness peaks at 2,150 nits. Additionally, for a comfortable viewing experience, it also comes with 1 pulse DC dimming and up to 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Performance
The processor on this phone is surely the highlighting feature of this phone. OnePlus Ace 3V is the first phone to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. What’s so special about that? Well! This chip introduced on-device generative AI capabilities in a midrange space. In the meantime, it also has a similar architecture to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3! The bottom line is — it should give you a great performance.
On top of that, you get LPDDR5X RAM of up to 16GB while the OnePlus Ace 3V comes with up to 512GB UFS 4.0 for storage. It comes in three configurations in total: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB. Moreover, it also features a 9140mm² heat dissipation system to maintain optimum performance. Talking of the software, it boots on the ColorOS 14.0 based on Android 14.
The OnePlus Ace 3V comes with a decent enough selection of cameras. The primary shooter here is a 50MP unit with the Sony IMX882 sensor. Additionally, it offers OIS support along with 20 times digital zoom. The supporting camera here is an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 112° field of view. Moving on to the front, it comes with a sole 16MP shooter.
Powering the phone is a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 100W SUPERVOOC charging. Other than that, the OnePlus Ace 3V comes with dual SIM 5G cellular, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, five-way navigation with A-GNSS, and NFC support for wireless connectivity. Additionally, you also get dual speakers as well as dual microphones handling the audio. Meanwhile, it packs an X-axis linear motor which should give you a premium haptic experience.
The smartphone launched on 21 March 2024 and is available in its home country for booking. The official sale will start on April Fool’s Day and starts at the price tag of CNY 1,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB trim.
Since it is an “Ace” series offering, it will not reach outside the Chinese borders. However, it will likely be rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 4 or “Nord 5”, if you will. Anyway, if this handset ever arrives here, we expect the OnePlus Ace 3V price in Nepal to start at NPR 44,499.

Words were going around that Qualcomm was working on two new chips for quite some time. The first one was the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which the company unveiled just a few days ago. Now they also released the other “SM7675” chipset with the market name — Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3! In this article, we will be discussing the recently launched Qualcomm mid-ranger in further detail.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 Overview
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is the successor to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, as the name suggests. The latest chip follows the same route of bringing flagship architecture to the midrange space. However, this time it takes things up a notch, which we will discuss in the…
Internals
Starting with the fact that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 comes in a similar architecture to the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 3! This chip features a cortex-X4 prime core, which is the third time we have seen this core in a Qualcomm chip. On top of that, this is the first time the core has been featured in a midrange processor.
To clarify more on the architecture of the chipset, it comes in TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process. Meanwhile, it has one prime core @2.80 GHz, four performance cores (Cortex-A720*) @2.60 GHz, and three efficiency cores (Cortex-A520*) @1.90 GHz.
Meanwhile, in terms of graphics, the latest 7 series processor might pack the Adreno 732, which reportedly clocks at 0.9 GHz. The naming of this GPU suggests that it will be slightly weaker than the one featured on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. However, we get to see Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2 on this chipset. As per the company, this feature allows you to double the frame rate of a game. Despite having a similar architecture it unsurprisingly does not feature ray-tracing.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 comes with on-device generative AI capabilities. This is the first time we are seeing such a feature being introduced to the 7 series, and by extension in midrange chips. Moreover, it comes with support for a variety of leading LLMs and LVMs.
Hardware Support and the rest
The latest Qualcomm 7 series processor comes with similar hardware support to the Qualcomm 8s Gen 3. Meaning, it comes with support for up to 24GB LPDDR5x RAM with frequency of 4,200MHz. Meanwhile, you also get UFS 4.0 storage and USB 3.1 Gen 2 support. This chip can support on-device display of 4K @60Hz or QHD+ @144Hz.
Talking of the camera, it can work with up to 200MP sensors. However, you can enjoy only 30FPS with Zero Shutter Lag on lenses of up to 108MP resolution. It supports video recording of up to 4K @60fps.
The Qualcomm 7+ Gen 3 deviates from the latest semi-flagship in terms of modem, as it opts for the X63 5G modem. It, however, is WiFi 7-ready as well as Bluetooth v5.4 support. Similarly, this chip also comes with triple-frequency navigation support with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC satellites. Lastly, it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 5 technology offering you breakneck charging speeds.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 Launch and Availability
