This tool will help people spot fake images and videos in real-time, alerting users if something looks fishy. To be more specific, this system can catch things like weird pixel glitches, odd facial features, and even mismatched hairlines. As per the reports, it will first be available on the HONOR Magic7 Pro.

Why does this matter?

While AI is super helpful, it can also be misused. In 2024, deepfake attacks happened every five minutes, and more than half of users can’t tell the difference between content made by humans and AI. Plus, a huge 84% of AI users want content to be labeled clearly, so they can trust what they see and hear.

Deepfake Threat

In fact, the deepfake detection market is expected to grow quickly; 42% each year, reaching nearly $16 billion by 2026. In between 2023 and November 2024, 49% of companies reported deep-fake-related fraud which is an increase of 224%.  Businesses have been hit hard, with incidents rising by over 200% in some sectors like gaming, fintech, and crypto. But despite the growth in deepfake attacks, many companies (around 61%) aren’t doing enough to protect themselves.

Honor is just one company working with big names like Adobe, Intel, and Microsoft to develop ways to spot fakes and protect users. Even Qualcomm is getting in on the action, offering tools that catch deepfakes while keeping your data private.

Oppo has recently added a new contender in the wearable market with the launch of Oppo Watch X2. This watch appears to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Watch 3 with only minor differences in features.
