The HP Pavilion 15 is a 15.6-inch laptop with Ryzen 5 4500U processor. The laptop comes in a fog blue aluminum panel with a sandblasted finish. Another talking point of this laptop is its upgradability. The laptop has dual DIMM RAM slots which can be upgraded by users. For storage, you have 256GB of SSD.

MSI  Modern 14

The MSI Modern series is a laptop designed for everyday computing. It has an aluminum chassis. This variant of the MSI Modern 14 with Ryzen processors was announced before MSI refreshed its productivity and business lineup with new internals and logo. Thus, it still houses the old Dragon logo on the lid.

It comes with a 14-inch IPS panel with an FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen lacks punch when put side by side to its 11th Gen Intel-powered counterpart. The keys are well spaced and have decent key travel. They are also backlit with three different brightness levels. Opening the lid raises the keyboard to some degrees for a better typing experience. It also exposes the three exhaust vents.

This particular model is powered by Ryzen 5 4500U. There is no discrete graphics so you will have to rely on the integrated Radeon graphics. You get 8GB RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. There is an HD webcam above the screen. Like most of the webcams, the output is not that great so you will have to buy an external one if you are serious about video calling.

The IdeaPad 5 with Ryzen 4000U series processors was launched on the first half of 2020. The consumers quickly took notice of the device as it packed plenty of power against its price tag. The laptop is powered by Ryzen 7 4700U. It a tier up from the Ryzen 5 4500U that you get on most of the laptops appearing on this last. It has 8 cores with boos clock speed up to 4.1GHz. Similarly, it come with Radeon RX Vega 7 integrated graphics compared to Vega 6 on the Ryzen 5.

The laptop comes with 8GB of RAM which is soldered onto the motherboard and thus is not upgradeable. There is 256GB of SSD storage.

The laptop is available in both plastic and metal build. If you go for the latter, you will miss out on the barre-shaped DC-in and as a result, won’t be able to use the Type-C port while the device is charging.
