Moto G56 5G will launch soon but we might not get one!

Alongside the Motorola G86 5G, the company is also getting ready to update its budget-friendly lineup with the Moto G56 5G. This new model will replace the Moto G55 5G and will bring several noticeable upgrades. Even though the phone hasn’t been officially revealed yet, a big leak has already shown us most of its features and design changes. Let’s look at Moto G56 5G rumor.

The Moto G56 5G is set to feature a new design, with a more rounded square camera module on the back instead of the G55’s rectangular one. The phone is a bit heavier now, with 200 grams compared to the earlier 182 grams. Moreover, it comes with dimensions of 165.75 x 76.26 x 8.35mm.

At the front, the phone likely carries a 6.72-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution (2400×1080 pixels). Motorola has probably chosen a 120Hz refresh rate here for smooth scrolling, which is great to see in this range. HP announced the refreshed version of its Omen 17 gaming laptop in 2023, featuring new chips from Intel and Nvidia. The inclusion of new hardware from Intel and Nvidia is the most significant change to the HP Omen 17 this year. The CPU options include the new Intel Core i9-13900HX and Core i7-13620HX, both of which utilize a hybrid architecture with a combination of high-performance and efficient cores.

HP has not specified the graphics card choices, but users are likely to be able to select at least a GeForce RTX 4080, if not an RTX 4090. In terms of memory and storage, the Omen 17 supports up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM (running at a speed of 5600MHz) and up to 2TB of NVMe storage.

Additionally, the laptop features a new cooling solution called “Tempest Cooling technology” which is designed to provide a desktop-like gaming experience in a compact form factor.

In terms of design, the Omen 17 remains largely unchanged from the previous model. But this year’s model marks the first time that an HP gaming laptop is available with an optical-mechanical keyboard. It is said to be up to 25 times faster than a typical keyboard, making it a valuable asset for gamers and alike.

Let’s first start with the things that you should consider before buying an entry-level gaming laptop. At this price range, you can’t hope to blaze through heavy games, but most titles should be playable without many hiccups.

The most readily available GPU for laptops in this segment is going to be an RTX 3050 (6GB) with DLSS support. Or even RTX 4050 with DLSS 3 and Frame Generation support if you’re lucky.

As for CPU, you can go with either Intel or AMD as long as you are getting the H-series processors (Intel 13/14th Gen or Ryzen 7000/8000 series). The Intel Core i5-13420H and the i5-12450H are currently DOMINANT in this segment, but under the hood, they are pretty much the same chip with slightly different clocks.

The upcoming OnePlus Nord 5 will bring a massive performance upgrade

It has been almost a year since OnePlus released the Nord 4 (review), and attention is now shifting to its successor. A recent leak on X (formerly Twitter) revealed several key specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Nord 5, hinting at some major upgrades. Especially in terms of performance, so let’s find out more.

OnePlus Nord 5 Rumors

Display and Design

The OnePlus Nord 5 is rumored to feature a flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to include an in-display fingerprint scanner as well. But unlike its predecessor, which has a full metal design, OnePlus may switch to a glass back and plastic frame for this guy. Reports also mention dual speakers and an IR blaster.

Performance

As for performance, the OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset. This has been cited by multiple leaksters including, Debayan Roy, Abhishek Yadav, and even Digital Chat Station.

And since the OnePlus Nord 4 was essentially a rebadged OnePlus Ace 3V (exclusive to China), we won’t be surprised if the Nord 5 will be Ace 5V in disguise. There likely won’t be a OnePlus Ace 4V in China since the number “4” is considered unlucky in the country.

By the way, that Dimensity 9400e chip is said to be a binned variant of MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400. Reports suggest that the 9400e could deliver better performance than both the Dimensity 9300 Plus and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. Thus making it more powerful than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset found in the OnePlus Nord 4.

Cameras

In terms of cameras, the OnePlus Nord 5 is rumored to feature a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide sensor, similar to the Nord 4. The front camera is expected to remain at 16MP.

While the hardware appears largely unchanged, potential improvements could come from updated image processing or new camera software features compared to the previous model.
