Meta, the company behind Facebook, is diving into the world of AI-driven earphones, aiming to bring groundbreaking technology to everyday devices. We are talking about earbuds with *checks note* ‘cameras’. Yeah, you read it write. Now, let’s dive into this article discussing the upcoming Meta Camerabuds in more detail.
Meta Camerabuds Overview
Known as “Camerabuds” internally, Meta’s latest project involves embedding AI capabilities into earphones equipped with cameras. These earphones are designed to identify objects and translate languages in real time, a significant leap forward in wearable gadgets.
Whats is Meta even cooking?
Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, is personally invested in the development of “Camerabuds.” He’s been involved in reviewing different designs, considering options from small earbuds to larger headphones. Furthermore, Meta is teaming up with Ear Micro, an electronics company based in Kansas, to bring their vision to life.
Challenges and Considerations
However, there are hurdles to overcome. Technical issues like hair obstructing the camera and overheating problems need solutions. Privacy concerns, especially around camera use, must also be addressed. If implemented, they could perhaps offer real-time translation and information about surroundings, empowering disabled individuals to navigate the world more independently. In addition, Meta will also have to take its rivals in to consideration, as tech companies, be they giants or small startups, all have made some kind of foray into almost every segment of tech.
While the future of Meta’s “Camerabuds” remains uncertain, their development showcases the tech industry’s ongoing efforts to integrate AI into daily life. But the idea of Camerabuds remains pretty unique in itself, and the upcoming technological changes is something we’ll have to prepare for.
In a blog post on their site yesterday, OpenAI announced a new version of GPT 4 with faster computation and better efficiency labeled ‘GPT-4o’. In this piece, let’s take a quick peek at the new GPT 4o and what it entails for you and me.
GPT-4o Overview:
Performance Improvements
GPT-4o is OpenAI’s latest ‘flagship model’ which means that it beats the popular GPT 4 and the faster GPT 4 Turbo in terms of performance. Benchmarks-wise, it outperforms competition from Anthropic and Google beating Claude Opus and Gemini Ultra in most cases. Safe to say that it’s the king of LLMs right now.
Let’s start simple with what’s improved. The ‘o’ in the name stands for ‘Omni’ which can be interpreted as good at everything. According to the company, the new model is ‘much faster’ and improves on its abilities around the clock be it text, speech, or vision. With best-in-class image understanding, GPT-4o will be able to do things like look and explain hotel menus, do translations, and offer recommendations based on images.
Future Promises
Future prospects also look bright as OpenAI aims for real-time voice and video conversations with ChatGPT in the future. One particular example they gave is the ability to explain the rules of an ongoing game. There’ll be a dedicated ‘Voice Mode’ housing all these new features with early access to Plus users.
Free to use but…
One of the most exciting things about this upcoming GPT is the access ladder. Unlike GPT-4 which was pay-walled behind a 20-dollar ‘Plus’ subscription, GPT-4o will be free to use for all users. Given that free users will have usage limits and they will be downgraded to GPT 3.5 when that limit is triggered, it’s still more inclusive than what we have right now with GPT 4. ChatGPT Plus users get five times greater limits while Enterprise and Team have even higher ceilings.
So what can you do with the new GPT-4o that you cannot right now with your free version of Chat GPT?
First and most apparent is the ability to pull answers from the internet. Next, you are likely to notice the speed of generated output is super fast. You’ll also be able to voice chat with the bot and upload files to ask queries that way. Of course, the quality of the output is bound to improve and you’ll also have access to GPTs and the GPT store. Last but not least, you can use memory so that ChatGPT remembers details about you and your conversations.

Google has been working to enable some capabilities of its Chromium OS platform on Android devices through virtualization. At a recent event, the company demonstrated running a special “ferrochrome” build of Chromium OS on a Pixel 8 phone using the Android Virtualization Framework (AVF). In this article, we will discuss furthermore about the latest news regarding Chromium OS on Android devices in more detail.
Chromium OS on Android Devices Overview
Enabling Chrome OS Capabilities
While Chromium OS didn’t display on the Pixel 8’s screen directly, it was projected onto an external display, highlighting the phone’s desktop mode capabilities. This indicates Google’s interest in bringing a more full-fledged desktop experience to Android devices.
Separate But Complementary Platforms
Android started on smartphones but grew to tablets, wearables, TVs, and cars. Google made Chrome OS for PCs instead of expanding Android. While Chrome OS can run Android apps, Android can’t run Chrome OS fully. Google thought about combining Android and Chrome OS into “Andromeda” but decided against it because both platforms were doing well on their own.
Benefits of Separate Platforms
Rather than merging Android and Chrome OS, Google aims to continue enhancing the two operating systems complementarily. Features like seamless OS updates were borrowed from Chrome OS into Android. Meanwhile, Chrome OS gained the ability to run Android apps.
Desktop Expansion
The AVF technology demonstrated can securely run a virtualized copy of Chrome OS in parallel with Android on the same hardware. A developer even showcased running a virtualized instance of Windows 11 on an Android phone using AVF. While retaining Android and Chrome OS as separate platforms optimized for their primary use cases, such virtualization could enable Android device owners to take advantage of desktop OS capabilities when needed.
While users express preferences for Chrome OS on Android for desktop mode, Google has yet to confirm plans for shipping. Nonetheless, the integration of Chrome OS with Android smartphones holds promise for seamless computing experiences in the future.

The previously released flagship, Vivo X100 Pro, ranked 10th in DXOMARK’s Smartphone camera ranking and boasted one of the best (smartphone) portrait cameras, if not the best. And if that was not enough, Vivo has thrown another hat in the ring with the Vivo X100 Ultra, alongside Vivo X100s and X100s Pro. In this article, we’ll walk through the specs, features, and expected price of the Vivo X100 Ultra in Nepal.
Vivo X100 Ultra Overview
A 200MP Periscope Camera
The Vivo X100 Ultra brings a major change to the periscope camera if you compare it to the regular X100. It is now a 200MP resolution APO beast with 3.7K optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.
Other than that, you get a 50MP 1-inch main Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor with CIPA 4.5 gimbal level stabilization. Last but not least is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide unit. The Dell XPS 13 is a staple laptop under the company’s belt which received a 2024 update back in January. Now it appears the company is working on a new iteration of the laptop and will be collaborating with Qualcomm this time around. Let’s discuss more on the upcoming laptop that’s seemingly dubbed the “Dell XPS 13 9345” in this article.
Dell XPS 13 9345 Rumours Round-up
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of this laptop, I would like to give a shoutout to the Windows Report. All that we know about the laptop is all thanks to them.
Naming
Let’s start things plain and simple with the naming… or should I say numbering? As I mentioned earlier, Dell recently updated the XPS 13 series for this year. While doing so the company dropped the “Plus” from its name, switching things up from the prior version and hooked the code number “9340” at last.
Dell XPS 13 9340
Similarly, the new edition of the laptop will supposedly continue the trend and go with the namesake “Dell XPS 13” and take the numbering up to “9345”.
Processor
The main highlight of the Dell XPS 13 9345 is surely its processor. The world of laptops is highly saturated with any given laptop having different choices of hardware. Matter of fact, laptops with the same name could pack an entirely different silicon underneath. When that’s the case, manufacturers usually attach code numbers — that are slightly different from one another — behind the laptop name to tell the variants apart.
Likewise, in this case, the Dell XPS 13 “9345” has a code that is just one digit off from the previous “9340”. Based on that, we can guess the upcoming iteration of the laptop will not have an Intel processor powering it. So, which one will it be? The rumours hint it to be a Qualcomm platform. However, it is unclear specifically which one of the American-foundry’s offerings will Dell go with for its new laptop.
Snapdragon X
There are four different options within the Snapdragon X family and the Dell XPS 13 9345 could go with any or all of them. Three of these processors sit under the Snapdragon X Elite series while the last remaining one goes by the name of Snapdragon X Plus. Either way, these chips are well-equipped with AI capabilities and are within the competing territory of Intel, AMD and even Apple silicon in terms of raw performance speed.
Other than that, it appears that the Dell XPS 13 9345 does not veer from its Intel siblings all too much. We have the leaked images of the laptop, and it is safe to say that they look the same. It will continue to have the iconic seamless trackpad and function keys with touch control. Meanwhile, the laptop is rumoured to sport an all-new “Copilot key” that allows the user to easily tap into its AI prowess.
Dell XPS 13 9345 Leaked Images

Copilot Key
Talking of the Copilot, it demands that the device have a minimum of 16GB memory to operate. Hence, the Dell XPS 13 9345 will definitely ship with the RAM of the same and higher capacity. Furthermore, we can expect it to walk the same road as its 9340 compatriots in terms of other specifications. Given that, it should come with either an IPS or OLED screen option with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, 512GB+ storage, and a 55Wh integrated battery.
Dell XPS 13 9345 Price and Availability
While all the buzz is going around, when will the thing actually launch? And what is the asking price? Well… there is no concrete announcement so far. The source says that the laptop will make its way to the market around August or September.
In the meantime, we expect the Dell XPS 13 9345 to have a similar price as the 9340 variants. Maybe even slightly cheaper, since it will likely sport a new chip that just made it into the market. So, we are looking at something around USD 1,299 or lower.
Lastly, before parting ways, I would like to remind you that all the things I’ve mentioned so far are merely rumours and may or may not come to fruition.

In this article, we will discuss the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Oppo A76 in Nepal.
Oppo A76 Overview:
Design and Display
Oppo A76 is a follow-up to last year’s A74 4G. The phone features a 90Hz screen, which is marginally bigger than its predecessor at 6.56-inch. However, it is an HD IPS panel, which is a bummer given how other brands offer FHD resolution in the same price range. The Redmi Note 11 even offers a 90Hz AMOLED screen at a cheaper price.
Moreover, the phone is 8.39mm thick and weighs around 189 grams. The camera island has gone through a visual redesign, and it now houses a dual-camera setup. Users can choose between two “Glowing” colors — Black and Blue.
Performance and Memory
Over on the inside, Oppo has replaced the Snapdragon 662 on the A74 for the Snapdragon 680 on the A76. It is the same that we can find in popular mid-range phones like Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i. It is based on a power-efficient 6nm process.
The phone comes in a single memory configuration of 6/128GB. Users can add 5GB of virtual RAM, but there is no microSD card slot for storage expansion.
In terms of photography, the Oppo A76 has a dual-camera setup at the back—that’s one less than that of the A74. Likewise, the primary camera has been downgraded from 48MP to 13MP. Accompanying it is a 2MP monochrome sensor. Over on the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter.
Rest of the Specs
Fueling the phone is a 5,000mAh sensor, which should give a pretty good battery life when coupled with a power-efficient chip like the Snapdragon 680. There is also support for 33W fast charging. The phone boots on Android 11 with Oppo’s ColorOS 11 on top.
Sony added to its Cine Line of cameras with the FX3 a few years ago. What Sony has done here is cramp features from its Cinema lineup to a smaller body. The camera itself looks to be based on the A7s III. In this post, we will be taking a look at the specs, features, price, and availability of the Sony FX3 in Nepal.
Sony FX3 Overview:
Design, Sensor, and Image Processing
Starting with the body, the Sony FX3 has a magnesium alloy chassis. Sony has adopted a dust and moisture-proof design except for the XLR handle. The camera measures 77.8mm x 129.7mm x 84.5mm and weighs around 715 grams.
Here, the Sony FX3 features a full-frame back-illuminated Exmor CMOS sensor. The effective pixel count for video and still images is 10.2MP and 12.1MP, respectively. It is paired with BIONZ XR image processing. The standard ISO range is between 80 and 102,400. However, it can be expanded to up to 409,600 in shooting mode. Similarly, the dynamic range is 15+ stops wide.
S-Cinetone
This camera comes with the S-Cinetone color matrix. It allows users to create cinematic content without having to go through post-production. The features itself have been derived from flagship VENICE camera and thus deliver natural mid-tones, soft colors, and smooth highlights.
Likewise, the FX3 has a maximum of 627 points for its Hybrid autofocus. But it will vary depending on the shooting mode. The Touch Tracking feature allows users to select the subjects to be focused on and tracked. Similarly, the company has also improved Real-time Eye AF, AF Transition Speed, and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity based on the users’ feedback.
Image Stabilization
Sony FX3 has a 5-axis optical in-body image stabilization. There is also a dedicated Active Mode for movie shooting. However, it results in a cropped image and cannot be used while recording videos at 120fps and higher. Users can also use the stabilization metadata to adjust images during post-production using certain tools.
Controls
Frequently used controls like ISO, IRIS, and white balance are placed on the grip and on the top of the camera. In addition to this, the camera has 15 custom keys that you can assign to 140 functions based on your preference.
The zoom lever on the top of the grip allows the use of Clear Image Zoom even with unpowered zoom and prime lenses. Recording lamps are on different parts of the body. There is also a touch-enabled LCD monitor.
