Honor Nepal has brought Dashain and Tihar offers throughout October and halfway through November, alongside a price cut for Band 6. Let’s learn more about the specifications, features, official price, and availability of Honor Band 6 in Nepal.

Honor Band 6 Overview:

Design and Display

The most notable difference between Honor Band 6 and its predecessor is its screen size. Honor Band 6 now has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display. It is around 148% bigger than the screen on the Honor Band 5. The screen-to-body ratio here is 60%. To achieve this, Honor has gotten rid of the buttons on the front. Still, there is a physical button with a red accent on the right side of the band. Honor has used 2.5D curved glass for protection. To the left side lies the Honor branding.

Users can pair the black Honor Band 6 with straps of three different colors – Meteorite Black, Seagull Grey, and Coral powder. Similarly, Honor also allows users to choose from 100+ custom watch faces.

Health / Fitness Tracking

As expected from a fitness tracker, Honor Band 6 supports 24-hour heart rate monitoring (based on Huawei TruSeen 4.0), Blood Oxygen (SpO2) level detection, and sleep monitoring (based on Huawei TruSleep). Honor says that the band can warn users about atrial fibrillation and premature beats using the new atrial fibril risk prediction algorithm. Similarly, Huawei TruSleep technology can identify six sleep problems using four-stage monitoring and offer up to 200+ sleep improvement tips. Honor has also included Women Health Tracking this time around.

Talking about sports mode, you get ten of them. The band also supports automatic recognition of select exercises such as indoor/outdoor running, indoor/outdoor walking, and an elliptical machine.

Honor Band 6 packs in a 180mAh battery that is rated for up to 14 days of usage. It can be charged using a magnetic charger. Honor has also included fast charging capabilities. Five minutes of fast charging can provide up to 2 days of battery endurance. The band also has a 5ATM certification against water damage.

Users can use the band for smart notifications and reminders. There is also an NFC variant of the band that supports contactless payment and voice assistant.

Honor Earbuds X5 gets a price-cut in Nepal right before Dashain

Alongside the Honor 90 and 90 Lite, the company launched the Earbuds X5 in Nepal. Not to be confused with the phone of the same name, Earbuds X5 is a new budget TWS earphone. And, the price has got cheaper with the festive season getting closer and closer. So, let’s get into all the specifications, features, and official price of the Honor Earbuds X5 in Nepal.

Honor Earbuds X5 Overview:

Design

Beginning with comfortability, the Honor Earbuds X5 is an exceptionally lightweight TWS. Each piece of the earbuds weighs nearly 3.8 grams, and even the case that comes with them weighs 35.4 grams. This, along with its half-in-ear fit, contributes to its restfulness.

Moreover, the case is completely circular. It comes with a HONOR logo on the front and an LED near the bottom. However, the Earbuds X5 doesn’t have an official IP rating. And the only color the buds are available in is the plain white option.

On the audio side, you get two 13.4mm moving-coiled drivers, one on each earbud. Honor says the Earbuds X5 is tuned for deep and rich bass. The website only makes mention of AAC as a codec, but I’m pretty sure it also comes with SBC, too.

Battery and the rest

Moving on, the Earbuds X5 from Honor uses a 30mAh battery. This lasts approximately 5 hours while using the AAC codec. Using the same codec, these wireless earphones last 27 hours with the charging case, thanks to the 410mAh cell. Besides, the bud takes an hour to charge completely, while the charging case takes over an hour and a half.

Further, the Bluetooth 5.2 delivered here is backward compatible and can even connect simultaneously with two devices. In addition, it supports pop-up pairs, making it easier to link with the TWS every time. Also, the device has wear detection, which means the music automatically pauses when the device separates from your ear.

Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. Samsung has opted not to include the physical button that was on the original Fit. It has been replaced with a touch button. Design-wise there is not anything fancy. Samsung has kept the Galaxy Fit 2 sleek and slim. The design is also minimalistic. Samsung has ditched the metal frame this time around. The body is now completely molded out of silicone. The fitness tracker weighs only 21 grams and is actually lighter than the band that it is succeeding. Samsung has achieved this feat while still increasing the battery life significantly.

Samsung has been tight-lipped about the specs of the new Galaxy Fit 2. The company just mentioned it with some of its features during the ‘Life Unstoppable” event. According to some sources, the fitness tracker packs 2MB of RAM and 32MB of internal storage.

It ships with FreeRTOS and is compatible with both Android (5.0 or more) and Apple (iOS 10.0 or more) products. Users can also choose from 70 different watch faces.

After much speculation, they have finally launched the new Galaxy Buds FE along with the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Design and Build

Design-wise, Samsung has taken a page out of their own book. The new Galaxy Buds emulates the OG Samsung Galaxy Buds and features a “wingtip design”. Samsung claims that this design ensures your sound fits just right. These buds measure 17.10 x 19.20 x 22.20 mm in dimensions and weigh just 5.60 grams each.

Camera

Leading the show is a 50MP primary lens with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) support. This 50MP shooter is a 1/1.12-inch 8P lens allowing a 37% increase in image definition by capturing more light.

Likewise, there is a 50MP optically stabilized telephoto lens with 3.5X optical zoom. The digital Zoom game goes up to 100X here. Continuing the setup is a 50MP ultrawide unit with a 122° FOV, doubling as a 2.5cm macro camera.

To assist this setup, there is an 8×8 dTOF sensor for laser focusing that captures real-time depth information for swifter and more accurate focus. Even the dual LED flash gets a flicker and multi-spectrum color temperature sensor, aiding the color accuracy and less flickering in low-light situations.

Moving to the front, the pill-shaped cutout sports a dual setup with a 12MP camera, along with a 3D TOF sensor, acting as a 3D face scanner for biometrics and security. Thankfully, Both the front and back cameras are capable of capturing 4K videos.

Display and Design

The highest DXOMARK rating extends to the display, too, with a score of 151. The Honor Magic 5 Pro sports a 6.8-inch OLED panel with curves on four sides. The 120Hz display comes with LTPO technology, which means it can refresh from 1 – 120Hz based on the content.

The phone’s display is also the first one to secure the TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly Certification. It reduces eye training and adjusts the display color tones as per the melatonin secretion (the brain’s response to darkness) of the user for better sleep cycles. On top of that, there is a Dynamic Dimming feature that can simulate the brightness as per dynamic changing in lighting situations. This aids in the reduction of eye fatigue.

Furthermore, other specs of the screen include a 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and up to 1800 nits of peak brightness. Design-wise, the Magic 5 Pro boasts a metal-glass combo chassis with an 8.8mm thickness and 219 grams weight. Bearing an IP68 dust/water resistance, the smartphone is available in two colors; Black and Meadow Green.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Moving on, the smartphone gets the horsepower from Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This flagship processor includes one high-performance Cortex-X3 (@3.2 GHz), two mid-performance Cortex-A715 (@2.8 GHz), another two mid-performance Cortex-A710 (@2.8 GHz), and three efficiency-focused Cortex-A510 (@2.0 GHz) cores.

The phone boots on Honor’s MagicOS7.1 built on top of Android 13. As for the memory configurations, the Magic 5 Pro comes in a sole 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage combo.

Others

Magic 5 Pro gets its juice from a 5100mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It also supports 50W wireless charging. However, things are a bit different in China in this aspect. As per GSMArena, the Magic 5 Pro is getting a bigger 5450mAh carbon silicon battery in China.

Carbon silicon is a new battery tech that brings quite a few improvements over the usual Lithium-ion or Lithium Polymer cell. With this, Honor promises a 12.8% higher energy density in the battery. To put this in context, the Magic 5 Pro has a 5100mAh Li-ion battery, but a carbon-silicon battery could have a capacity of 5450mAh, likely in the same size.

Moreover, when a standard lithium cell’s voltage drops to 3.5 volts, there is not much power left in it. But the silicon carbon one has 240% more capacity left at 3.5V, which caters to the overall 12.8% improvement.

Other features of the smartphone include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB 3.1 for connectivity. There is an X-axis linear motor for haptics, an under-display fingerprint reader for biometrics, and Dolby-powered dual speakers.

Samsung’s Tab S9 Series arrived on July 26. And the Fan Edition (FE) iterations are here as well. The Tab S9 FE and FE Plus bear toned-down specs from the flagship Tab S9 series. And amongst the two, the vanilla variant is now official in Nepal. In this article, we’ll talk about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, its specs, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

Starting off with the design, the Tab S9 FE Series shares the same visual aesthetics. Taking cues from the flagship Tab S9 siblings, Samsung has also provided an IP68 rating for both the Tab S9 FE and FE Plus. Both tabs are available in four color options: Gray, Mint, Silver, and Lavender. And interestingly, you get a S Pen stylus bundled in the box.

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has expanded its V series with the new V29 phone in Nepal. So without further ado, let’s get through all the specs, features, and expected price of the Vivo V29 5G in Nepal.

Design and Display

As a design-centric brand, the Vivo V29 gets a pretty nice treatment. You get a curved design here with a rectangular camera island at the back, housing a triple rear camera setup within two circular camera modules. What’s more evident is the Aura Light flashlight ring that is 15.6mm in diameter, alongside another LED flash on the top. This fancy ring light is all for the enhanced portrait shots with “a three-dimensional lighting effect” as per Vivo.

Likewise, Vivo has paired the chip with 12GB DDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. On the software side, the phone boots on Funtouch OS 13, based on Android 13. Yet another Y-series Vivo smartphone, the Y36, gets a price cut in Nepal. Serving as the successor to the Y35 from the previous year, the Vivo Y36 has gathered ample attention and anticipation. Vivo Y36 is available in 4G and 5G options depending on the region. The only difference between the 4G and 5G models is the chipset and the color options. The 4G model runs on a 6nm octa-core Snapdragon 680 SoC (6nm), the same as its predecessor. On the other hand, the 5G model consists of MediaTek Dimensity 6020 (7nm) as its SoC. The new Black Shark product is named the S1 Smart Watch and it looks like a pretty standard smartwatch for the most part.
