Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras are quite popular for someone looking to buy a capable video camera at a budget-friendly price. And the new Sony A6600 is one of the best options for you. In this article, we are going to talk about the features, specifications, availability, and price of Sony A6000 APS-C camera.

Sony A6600 Overview:

When peeked into the Sony A6600 specs, the device highly resembles its predecessor A6500. The camera packs the same 24.2-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor favored by 5-axis in-body image stabilization. But apart from that, the mirrorless camera has received an upgrade in almost all aspects.

This newbie comes with Real-Time AF tracking and the new Real-Time Eye AF tracking, which first made its presence on the A6400. Furthermore, the Sony A6600 features a 3.5mm headphone jack. And it’s the first model in Sony’s Alpha series of cameras to have the jack.

The niceties do not quite end there. Sony has also generously improved its battery life. The older A6500 was barely capable of taking 350 shots on a single charge. But the new A6600 will let you take 720 shots before the battery gets low on charge. All thanks to Sony’s Z battery pack.

The A6600 also comes with a new Bionz X processor. So it will share the image processing prowess of the top-of-the-line A9 and A7-series cameras. With the new image processor on the board, the processing speed is said to be 1.8x faster than that on the A6500.

As far as the AF is concerned, you get a 425-point hybrid autofocus system with 84% frame coverage. And talking about the screen, there is a 3-inch flip-up 921k-dot touchscreen LCD, which can also be seen on the a6400 and the a6100. Burst shooting on the device can go as high as up to 11fps with autofocus and auto exposure, the latest real-time tracking AF. Similarly, you can record 4K videos up to 30fps at max.

Meizu is coming back to Nepal with Teletalk as its official distributor

About a year ago, word got around that Meizu was planning to exit the smartphone market to focus entirely on AI. At the time, we believed the Meizu 21 Pro would be the company’s final phone.

But fortunately, that speculation was wrong. The Chinese smartphone brand made a comeback by launching three new models of smartphones. And now it’s heading to Nepal, teaming up with Teletalk as its official distributor. Let’s discuss everything we know.

Meizu comeback

Brand that was big once

Meizu started out in 2003, first making MP3 players, then moving into smartphones. Back in the day, phones like the Meizu M9 and MX series stood out for their sleek design and a custom Android system called Flyme OS. Around 2015–2016 Meizu was a big name in China, going head-to-head with brands like Xiaomi and Huawei.

Image: Meizu 21 Note

But things went downhill. Tough competition, lack of new ideas, and weak marketing outside China caused Meizu to fade from the spotlight. By 2020, the brand had almost disappeared from the global scene.

A new start

In 2022, Meizu was bought by Geely, the company behind Volvo and Polestar. Since then, Meizu has shifted focus i.e., not just making phones, but also building a tech ecosystem that connects smartphones, cars, and smart devices.

With new products like the Meizu Note 22, mblu 22, and mblu 22 Pro, the company is trying to get back into the premium market (once again).

So, what’s coming to Nepal?

Meizu is stepping into the Nepali smartphone market through a partnership with Teletalk, one of the country’s leading distributors. Although the specific models haven’t been officially announced, it’s likely that Meizu will introduce budget to mid-range devices at the beginning phase.

With competitive pricing aimed at challenging established brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, and Vivo, Meizu has a real chance to make an impact. If they can back this up with reliable customer service and solid after-sales support, they could quickly earn a spot in Nepal’s fast-growing smartphone market. Let’s hope for the best!

Here’s what world’s first human-like artificial intelligence from Mivi features

0

Mivi has launched its world’s first human-like AI, and it has integrated this feature into its Mi AI Buds. These buds are doing a bit more than just playing music or taking calls. They come with built-in voice AI that can assist with everyday tasks, hold casual conversations, and even check in on how you’re feeling. In this article, we will discuss the Mivi AI (Buds), including its specifications, features, and what sets it apart from the rest of the earbuds.

Mivi AI Overview

Whether you’re cooking, preparing for a job interview, or just feeling off, the buds offer support beyond standard features. Mivi AI seems to be less about commands and more about interaction. While most AI models just answer questions on-screen, it has completely redesigned how users interact with AI. They’ve built a smart conversation engine that uses powerful language models to have personalized, context-aware chats.

AI Features

Mivi AI carries on more natural conversations and comes with “avatars,” which are digital personas built for different tasks. In this official YouTube video uploaded by the company, this AI performed like a personal chef that guides you through recipes and adjusts to your preferences. I don’t need to call my mom every time I the kitchen now? Wahhh!

The assistant can also remember past conversations. There’s an “Interviewer Avatar” mode that helps you practice job interviews with real-time feedback, and a “Guru Avatar” that explains topics you want to learn. Also, there is a “Wellness Coach” that checks in when you’re feeling low, offering basic support and guidance.

Mivi AI Buds

Mivi has integrated all the features I have mentioned above in its Mivi AI Buds. In terms of design, the buds come in a rose gold finish with glossy, curved surfaces that resemble liquid metal. The charging case is compact, with a soft matte body that contrasts with the shiny earbuds. They stand out a bit more than the average pair.

Mivi AI Buds Design

Inside, there’s a dedicated chip that makes voice interactions quick and responsive. The buds only connect to the cloud when activated with “Hi Mi,” which saves battery and adds a layer of privacy. Audio is tuned by Mivi, and you get hands-free control, so it’s easy to use them while multitasking. Furthermore, the hardware and software are designed to work closely together, which should help avoid lag or glitches during use.

Final thought

Overall, the Mi AI Buds bring something a little different to the table with their focus on smart, conversational AI and emotionally aware features. It’s exciting to see wearable tech moving in this direction, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the Mi AI Buds perform once and if they hit the market in Nepal.

Best Mobile Phones Under Rs. 50,000 in Nepal [Updated 2025]

With a ton of choices, buying a smartphone can become a confusing adventure for many. And in the Nepali market, the 50K price bracket is probably the trickiest of them all. That’s because this is a category that’s more than midrange yet less than the premium midrangers. So oftentimes, most phones in this range don’t find the right balance between price and overall performance. To help you with your purchase decision, here is our list of the best phones under NPR 50000 in Nepal.

How to find the best phones under NPR 50000 in Nepal?

As aforementioned, phones under 50K are sort of a middle ground between midrange and premium midrange devices, so their feature set and overall value for money can be a bit tricky to figure out. Anyway, you shouldn’t settle for anything less than a high refresh rate OLED display when buying a phone under NPR 50000. An attractive and durable design is another thing to look out for here.

While an official IP rating is pretty rare in this segment, if that’s a must for you, then Samsung has got you covered. The 2024 Redmi smartphones also bear an official IP68 rating, while Samsung phones usually come with IP67 dust and water resistance as well. Performance shouldn’t be a concern on these smartphones either, whereas you also get a capable camera setup here. Some brands even offer OIS and 4K recording in this price range.

Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 50000 — but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices, and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending NPR 1000 – 2000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end.

5. Honor X9C

Honor X9C Price in Nepal

Okay, so the Honor X9C is tough. We actually ran it over with a bulldozer in our review – yeah, you read that right – and it just kept on going. The glass held up really well. Besides that, the phone performs smoothly. It’s got a solid display with a high refresh rate, so whether you’re scrolling through social media or just browsing, it’s nice and fluid.

The camera setup is decent too. It’s not going to blow your mind like some flagship models, but it gets the job done, especially when it comes to capturing sharp photos and handling low light better than you’d expect for a phone in this range. Overall, if you’re someone who values durability but still wants something that can handle day-to-day tasks without breaking the bank, the X9C is a solid pick.

Honor X9c Specifications

  • Display: 6.78” curved OLED, 1,224 x 2,700px resolution, 10-bit color, 4,000 nits brightness, 3,840Hz PWM dimming

4. Infinix GT 20 Pro

Infinix GT 20 Pro - Mecha Silver

The recently restocked Infinix GT 20 Pro is exactly what you should get if gaming is your top priority. Because from a powerful Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor to a graphite sheet + vapor chamber cooling system, the fastest RAM you could find on a smartphone, and a separate Pixelworks X5 display processor, the GT 20 Pro is easily the top choice on our list of best phones under NPR 50000 in Nepal.

And I’m happy to report that this guy performed impressively in all our gaming tests. Including when playing PUBG at 120 fps, where the Infinix GT 20 Pro managed an incredible 112.75 fps average. Matter of fact, this is the most affordable phone that can play PUBG at 120 fps.

Like I mentioned before, its cooling system is no joke either. Even when playing something as graphically demanding as Genshin Impact, the GT 20 Pro climbed to just around 44°C, which is quite commendable. It has a nice 144Hz AMOLED display too, while the battery life side of things is a solid B+ too. We also found the GT 20 Pro’s 108MP main camera to be surprisingly good for both photos and videos. Although the fact that it doesn’t have an ultrawide shooter is a bummer.

Specifications:

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 144Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G (4nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8/12GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 14 on top of Android 14
  • Rear Camera: Triple (108MP main, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 6 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / A-GPS / Glonass / Galileo, USB-C, 4G LTE, 5G
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Gyro, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 45W charging (45W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 47,499 (12/256GB)

3. Samsung Galaxy A36

Galaxy A36 design

So, the Galaxy A36 is kind of the little brother to the A56. It’s cheaper but still does a lot right? Sure, it’s running on an Exynos chip, so it’s not a gaming monster, but it handles regular tasks just fine. You won’t lag while multitasking or doing regular stuff like browsing or watching videos.

The camera system’s pretty good too, especially for the price. You get a 50MP main camera, which takes some pretty sharp shots, plus an ultrawide lens and a macro lens for up-close shots. It’s versatile, and while it’s not perfect, it’s solid. One thing to keep in mind – no headphone jack, and you can’t expand storage with a microSD card. However, you get an excellent One UI 7, which is both loaded with features and runs on Android 15. The battery is decent as well, supported by a 45W wired charging. Hence, all in all, it’s a really good budget option.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED, 120Hz, 1,200 nits
  • IP Rating: IP67
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 4nm process
  • RAM: Up to 12GB
  • Storage: Up to 256GB (non-expandable)
  • Rear Cameras: 50MP (main) + 8MP (wide-angle) + 5MP (macro)
  • Front Camera: 12MP (HDR video)
  • Battery: 5,000mAh, 45W fast charging

2. Redmi Note 14 Pro+

Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G

The top-end model in Xiaomi’s latest Redmi Note 14 series is what bagged the second place. This guy brings a bunch of flagship features at a mid-range price, like Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the display, IP68 dust and water resistance rating, and 120W fast charging.

It has a nice curved finish on both sides and either a glass or leather finish on the back of the phone. And fortunately, this time, the leather variant of Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is available in Nepal. As for the display, it’s got a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 12-bit colors, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification, 3000 nits of peak brightness, and so much more.

Under the hood, the Note 14 Pro+ is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen3 chip. It’s a fairly powerful processor for casual everyday usage, multitasking, and even a little bit of gaming. We also like how Xiaomi has been generous with the storage on this thing since you get 256GB of storage in the base model itself. Getting to the optics, it has a triple-camera setup at the back. But it uses the same camera setup as last year’s Redmi Note 13 Pro+, a 200MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro unit.

Specifications:

  • Display: 6.67-inches AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 5G (4nm)
  • Memory: 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB UFS 2.2 internal storage (fixed)
  • Software & UI: HyperOS on top of Android 14
  • Rear Camera: Triple (200MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 16MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 6 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS / A-GPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou / QZSS, USB-C, NFC, 4G LTE, 5G
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Gyro, Infrared, Proximity
  • Battery: 5110mAh with 120W charging (120W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 49,999 (8/256GB)

1. Nothing Phone 3a

Nothing phone 3a

Bagging the gold medal on our list of best phones under NPR 50000 in Nepal is none other than the Nothing Phone 3a. Alright, so the Nothing Phone 3a has this slick design – it’s got that cool, minimalistic look that people either love or just don’t get. But what’s actually interesting here is the new camera setup. They’ve added a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom, which is pretty impressive for a phone under 50k. The design is nice, but it’s definitely a love-it-or-hate-it thing.

Performance-wise, it’s pretty solid, thanks to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and 12GB of RAM. So, you can expect smooth performance for pretty much everything – apps, gaming, you name it. The battery’s great too, with a 5,000mAh capacity and 50W charging. As for the camera, it’s good, but if you’re really into photography, there are better options out there.

Specifications:

  • Display: 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED, 1080×2392 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Storage: 256GB
  • Main Camera: Triple setup – 50MP (wide), 50MP (telephoto) with 2x optical zoom, 8MP (ultrawide)
  • Front Camera: 32MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh with 50W wired charging
  • OS: Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.1

Scientists develop world’s smallest dissolving pacemaker

0

Northwestern University engineers have created something remarkable – a dissolving pacemaker smaller than a grain of rice that could change how we treat infants born with heart defects. This article will discuss more about the latest dissolving pacemaker in detail.

World’s smallest Dissolving Pacemaker

The Minds Behind the Innovation

Dr. John A. Rogers and Dr. Igor Efimov are leading this groundbreaking project. Their research focuses on creating a temporary cardiac solution that simply disappears when no longer needed, sparing babies from additional surgeries. The team has indicated that eliminating the need for removal procedures is a major advancement, particularly for infants with already fragile hearts.

How It Works

Dissolving Pacemaker

The device is remarkably simple to deploy – it can be delivered via syringe, avoiding major surgery. The system pairs with a soft, flexible patch worn on the baby’s chest that monitors heart rhythm.

When the patch detects an irregular heartbeat, it sends an infrared light pulse through the skin, activating the tiny implanted pacemaker. This approach eliminates the need for wires, programming sessions, or bulky external controllers that accompany traditional pacemakers.

Nature’s Battery

Perhaps the most ingenious aspect is how the device powers itself. Rather than using traditional batteries or wireless charging, the team developed a galvanic cell that uses the body’s own fluids as an electrolyte. The device creates its own power using two different metal electrodes that react with surrounding biofluids – essentially functioning as a tiny biological battery that works just long enough before safely dissolving.

Medical Community Reaction

The medical community has shown significant interest in this technology, particularly pediatric cardiologists who treat infants with congenital heart defects. The potential to reduce the number of surgical interventions could represent both medical benefits for infant patients and emotional relief for families facing challenging cardiac diagnoses.

Beyond the Heart

While cardiac pacing is the initial focus, the research suggests broader applications. The same technology platform could potentially help with nerve regeneration, bone healing, wound treatment, and pain management.

Multiple implants might even be placed and activated by different colored light pulses, opening possibilities for more complex treatment approaches.

Looking ahead

Clinical trials with infants experiencing temporary heart rhythm disorders are expected to begin later this year. If successful, this tiny dissolving device could represent one of the most significant advances in pediatric cardiac care in recent memory.

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come in the smallest packages – in this case, smaller than a grain of rice, but perhaps large enough to change young lives.

LG Super UHD TV AI ThinQ

Coming to the Super UHD TVs, they are similar to UHD TVs in terms of resolution (i.e. 4K). The “Super” doesn’t imply a superior resolution which is 8K. Rather, these TVs have an improved display technology called “Nano Cell,” which offers improved colors, dynamic range, etc.

At its core, a TV is a visual entertainment device, so if you want something better than the regular UHD TV from LG, these are for you. Currently, LG Super UHD TVs with AI ThinQ are out of stock in Nepal.

LG OLED UHD TV AI ThinQ

Now, let’s talk about the best of the bunch, which are LG’s OLED UHD TVs. With their infinite contrast ratio, you won’t find darker darks and whiter whites in other display panels. However, OLED does fall behind in terms of maximum brightness, but that really isn’t that big a deal. There’s the α9 (Alpha9) Intelligent Processor, which is specifically optimized for LG OLED TVs.

You also get what LG calls “Cinema HDR,” which delivers HDR content as originally intended by the filmmaker for that extra sense of realism. Other features include (but are not limited to) Active HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos audio, etc. You also get 1 year of warranty on these TVs.

To compare with normal OLED TVs, this new tech ensures richer and more accurate colors in 4K resolution. You are also getting amazing peak brightness levels and improved contrast ratios as well. We might get to see GPT 4.1 as soon as next week!

The AI race keeps accelerating, with new models constantly dropping. In this race, OpenAI has somehow managed to keep itself in the spotlight always. The hype is reaching a new high with the internet in love with the dreamy Ghibli-style content coming from its image models. Riding that wave, OpenAI is getting ready to roll out GPT-4.1 along with some other new models. Let’s get into the depth of the ChatGPT 4.1 rumor.

ChatGPT 4.1 is on its way!

OpenAI is preparing to drop a batch of new AI models. Even though they haven’t officially spilled all the details yet, Tom Warren from The Verge says one of the models is definitely GPT-4.1. One insider even called it a refined version of GPT-4.0, which is honestly exciting, since that model already handled audio, images, and text all at once in real time. The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman teased on X that they’re about to roll out a long-awaited feature, and that kind of tease usually means something pretty major. So, it is most likely a 4.0 model. We might see it go live next week.

Not just that, but also its smaller versions that include GPT-4.1 mini and nano. If that’s true, it could mean faster, lighter models that work on more devices or use less power. Honestly, that would be a big win for everyday users.

Other models

But that’s not all. OpenAI is also working on more models beyond GPT-4.1. They’re close to releasing the full version of their o3 model, and we might also get to see a compact o4 mini soon. AI engineer Tibo Blaho spotted code hints in a new ChatGPT web version that mention o4 mini, o4 mini high, and o3.

That’s a strong sign these are right around the corner. But don’t be surprised if there’s a delay because the sources say they’re facing some serious capacity issues because of the Ghibli thing. Just last month, OpenAI had to limit usage temporarily because of how overloaded their systems were. Sam Altman even joked that GPUs were melting from the massive traffic, especially from free-tier users. So yeah, we will soon get to see the GPT 4.1, but not sure when.
